Darth Atrox's Sith Holocron
---
As you approach the Holocron you feel the area being dampened with the Dark side of the force. Once you open the Holocron a figure - Darth Atrox appears before you, staring downwards. Theres a long pause while he fixes his gaze upon you, before he begins to speak.
"You've come to delve into the traditions of the Sith?! feast upon my Knowledge?! If you aspire to become a Sith and begin your journey to becoming a Sith, then take what Knowledge is mine to give! Long live the Sith!"
Section one - What is a Sith?
---
"You may believe this is a typical question that is easy to answer, but once you think about it - it really isn't an easy question at all. There is not exact answer, but you can give a rough description. A Sith is a follower of the Sith Religion, that is the most basic description of what a Sith is. But to look at what a Sith is in more detail... A Sith is someone who seeks to always become better, improve themselves in every way - Surpass all those around them; becoming the best and remaining the best. But to remain the best is a long and ongoing task simply because those around you will want to become the best also. The only way you can remain the best is by concealing all weakness', Laziness is the major weakness that is the downfall to most Dark Lords. Many Dark Lords believe that once they have taken the title they are the best and that cannot be changed; this is not true. If you become lazy and slack off on advancing your abilities you will be surpassed, betrayed and killed - it is the way of the Sith."
"However becoming the best is not all that it is to be a Sith. A Sith is a seeker of freedom, to break free from all chains of oppression. They will gain such freedom by living by the code and following it step by step - moment by moment. It is an ongoing tedious task to achieve freedom, countless obstacles you will face throughout your journey to achieving it with little chance of success, but it is what you seek as a Sith. Unlike some who call themselves Sith but aspire to achieve completely different things; they are not true Sith."
"But theres more to being a Sith then whats been said. Throughout your journey as a Sith you will hear a lot of talk about gaining perfection. But ask yourself, what is Perfection? Perfection is to be free of all flaws, all weakness'... So in some small way Perfection is infinity since it means your abilities have reached their full potential and you can no longer improve yourself. But all of this is a lie! Perhaps you've gathered already that a Sith can always better themselves in either a small way or a large way! there is no such thing as perfection, we aspire to achieve it - but it is not reachable. Ignore anyone that tells you differently. If everyone managed to achieve perfection then we would all be limitless, we'd all be equals andthere is no such thing as equality; someone is always superior or inferior. As a Sith you must work to gain and prove your Superiority."

Section two: The old Sith Code - by Darth Bane
---
"Peace is a lie, there is only Passion. Through passion I gain strength. Through strength I gain power. Through power I gain victory. Through victory my chains are broken. The force shall free me."
"This is the most commonly used code amongst the Sith, it serves as a guideline to becoming a true Sith. It is the path anyone must take to achieving freedom. Now I will tell you the meaning behind each line and part of the code."
"Peace is a lie"
---
This is the most simple part of the code, it is what it is. Peace is a concept that cannot be achieved, and will never be achieved. The Jedi believe that through suppressing their passions and living a life of honesty they will achieve a state of peace. But as Sith we know this is an impossible task. Your emotions are natural, whether you like it or not they will always eventually get the better of you. Yet the Jedi have failed to realise this."
"There is only Passion"
---
"Many Sith find themselves asking what is Passion? Your passions are a certain group of emotions, mainly love, lust, anger, hatred, rage and fear. As Sith we seek to Master our Passions and unleash them to aid us throughout our journey. Our passions motivate us, keep us focused, determined and strengthen us. Jedi deny their passions and try to suppress them, and as I said before - this is impossible and cannot be achieved."
"Now im going to speak more specifically about some passions and what emotions are to a Sith. Many people begin their journey and don't even stop to think what emotions actually are. Well emotions are the Dark side, without emotions there would be no dark side. Using your emotions is a key element in our religion, it always has been and always will be. You will also seek to Master fear, by doing so you can instill it into your enemies. If your enemies fear you, they are less likely to betray you. If you seek to rule then fear is something you 'must' Master, through fear you could become an Overlord of all living beings, the Universe and the Sith... and from there lead the Sith back into a Golden age." |
"Through Passion I gain Strength"
---
"Strength is natural, everything starts off as weak. For example a newly born is weak but perhaps one day that weak and helpless baby could become the strongest being in the Galaxy. As I said before we use our Passions to aid us, to strengthen us. Only those who Master their passions and use them correctly will ever have a chance at gaining power.
"Through Strength I gain power"
---
"Power can be a complex concept and as I said before, only those who are strong and Master their passions will ever grasp any power at all. Now we will look at power itself; the definition of power is having the ability to control your environment, or having the power to do something in a particular way. But it is not the meaning of power that is important, it is the aspects of power. There are two main aspects of power, one is having power over yourself and the other having power over others. Now having power over others without having it over yourself is pointless, because you will be betrayed and killed - I spoke before about ruling over others and what you must do, so I won't repeat it. The truly important aspect is having power over yourself, having power over yourself means you are ready to take the next step to becoming a Sith."
