Atazos yawned as he laid his eyes on the key that was waiting for him. He had a feeling that this key was decently important because of the feather tied to it. The way it was laid out for him made him think it that it was likely the house key that Moria had left for him. He looked down a little bit as he realized just how much the girl trusted. It seemed naive and irresponsible, but after some thought, he wondered if that wasn't part of the plan. Moria knew he was a good soul deep down, despite having done some things that most would consider to be bad in the past. Her showing explicit amounts of faith in him could have been her unspoken way to ensure that he wouldn't have a change of heart at the last minute and betray her by stealing her things or something worse. Perhaps Moria was not as naive as he originally believed and was in fact a cunning mastermind who could read his emotions perfectly. But, after thinking about this further, he realized that the idea was very very silly. That sweet, cute girl couldn't possibly be as cunning and sly as that... right? He shook it off and went into the kitchen to see if there were any left overs from the dinner last night. Upon not finding any, he sighed and grabbed the house key. Atazos pulled the door shut and locked it up with the feather key, proving that it was the actual house key. He smiled a little, realizing that this mean that Moria trusted him as deeply as he thought... for some reason this meant a lot to him, but he couldn't put his finger on why. This girl was just someone he had flirted with not more than twenty four hours ago. It was funny how things seemed to work at times. He pocketed the key and turned to walk down the snowy path. Again, snow, but it was how the Revlik Isles worked. If there were no snow, he would have been a little worried. Although, even if lack of snow meant something catastrophic was about to occur, it would still be a lovely sight to be able to see a blue sky over Asharei... but these are things most Novali didn't think about or didn't care about. There more more important things to think about... like how much you hated outsiders. Perhaps this different attitude towards outsiders and the world in general were both results of his time on the Leviathan. Although his crew was made up completely of Novali men, he had met Humans and Dorian before, hence his linguistic skills and his ability to easily negotiate with them. He continued to walk through the nicer part of town, hoping that his newer clothing would not alert the guards to his 'street scum' status and allow him safe passage through the streets. The North tower was his destination, where he could meet up with Moria and start another day of work. |

Adventure Log Luckily the new clothes did not alert anyone, instead they seemed to work the opposite way. As Atazos moved along through the nicer parts of the city he passed a few people and a couple of guards, but no one seemed to give him any weird looks or anything. It was rather unusual for him to say the least. Sure the clothes were nice and all, but were they really that nice? Appearently so. Funny what changing clothes could do to ones status. He followed the snowy path that he and Moira had walked the day before. The north tower was just a couple of minutes away from the area were Moira was living, so it was not very hard to memorize the way. And quite right after just a couple of minutes of walking he reached the north tower. Just as yesterday that gates were open for Atazos to just walk right in to the main hall of the tower. In the main hall Moira was sitting by her desk again, deeply lost in her book. However this morning she did not seemed to be as focused as she did the day before. As Atazos got a closer look of her it looked like she was pretty tired, almost like she had gotten no sleep at all and would fall asleep with her face in the book any second. Had she had a hard time sleeping with him there, or had she been up all night doing... whatever it was she had been doing? |

Was actually quite surprised that none of the guards in the area got into hassling him. Perhaps that old stereotype "all Novali look alike" had some truth to is as in is new outfit, the guards didn't seem to recognize him as the street rat that they took so much joy in harassing in the past. Then again, he was a lot cleaner now and, especially with the way his sword was on his belt, he actually looked like a respectable member of functioning society. Considering he had a job and a place to live, he technically was. The thought of being a cog in the proverbial machine made him sick, but the feeling of being able to buy a new gun or sword at the store made that feeling pass quickly. Atazos smiled as the open gate of the North Tower was in view. The money from the job was only half the payment to the pirate. He loved being at work, on the ship, and carrying bags of grain to the merchant ships. He even liked the pain in his arms and legs that he got from standing on the swaying airship and pulling the ropes to tie down the massive sky-boats. Walking through the door, he feasted his eyes on the third reward of the day, seeing Moria's pretty pale face. She seemed tired, but Atazos knew she'd be fine. Having not been noticed as he walked up, he leaned on the counter. "Good morning, beautiful." He reached into his pocket and held out the house key she had given to him. "Here you go. I locked up and everything when I left." Edited by Solomonaros, Nov 10 2011, 05:40 AM.

Adventure Log Moira looked up from the book and smiled a little, and yawned lightly. "Good morning" she replied and wrote down something in the book quickly before she looked back at him again. When Atazos presented the key she just smiled and picked up another key in the same kind of feather keyring and the one Atazos had. "That's you key, don't lose it." She closed her hand around her own key and put it back into her pocket. She looked around the whole room a couple of times quickly and leaned over the desk to get closer to Atazos. "We have some things to talk about later. We can't do it here, they might be listening." she whispered to him, quickly looking around one last time before she went back to her seat. Her face turned around from serious back to the cheerful happy face again. "You should get going to work now." she said and smiled like nothing had happened. A smile crossed the Novali's face as he laid eyes on the second key in her hands. It was nice to know that she had so much faith in him... at the same time, it still worried him that she was a little bit too trusting considering that she knew he was a pirate. He didn't let this bother him, though he was a little concerned for her well-being. He cared about her to a degree and really didn't want her to go down for his mere living in her residence. But as long as the Empire was oblivious to who he really was, it was unlikely that she would get in trouble. Atazos nodded at her and winked playfully. "Alright. I can't wait. Let's get together later... and maybe talk about it over some food?" He continued to smile as he turned and headed for the elevator. "Well, off to work with me. Have fun." He waved over his shoulder and stepped onto the lift. After some finagling with the controls of the elevator, the gate closed and kicked to life. He and the lift rose up to the floor her typed into the controls; the top floor where the storage and sky port was. He was excited to see the ships again and feel the deck under his boots once again; though he was wondering if anyone would recognize him now that he was dressed in acceptable clothing. |

Adventure Log The working day was rather slow, a lot of carrying cargo and a lot less tending to the ships. Baile was chatty as usual doing his best to keep the team's moral high, and for the most part he succeded. Atazos pushed through the slow day and did get a lot of work done, even he managed to push the team a little further. All in all the work was succesful, and Atazos came a little closer to the working team. Just like the day before Krill managed to catch up with Atazos just before he left with the elevator. "Kind of slow today, eh?" he said with a bored voice and sighed lightly as he leaned against the elevator wall. It had definietly been a boring day, and it was noticable that mister Lombard was someone who liked when things happened. Engines was his speciality too and without any ships that needed service the boredom must have reached new levels. "Sometimes you just wish you could be onboard a ship yourself and just roam the skies, right?" he looked out into empty space for a second or two before he shook his head and laughed. "Us dreamers of the day are dangerous men, I guess." he continued just as the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened up. Krill gave Atazos a nod and walked out of the elevator and left the building. As usual Moira was sitting by her desk working and putting together some last things before the end of the working day. She seemed almost twice as focused as she did yersterday, maybe she was taking care of something extra important right now? She took a quick look at a silver pocket watch a couple of times, switched her eyes to the book, wrote some things down and then back to the clock again. She did not notice anyone passing by her at all. > The North tower crew social link has reached level 2. > +4 Experience points gained. > +2 Experience points gained |

While at work, Atazos' mind was nearly blank. The motions required to maintain the ship where so well ingrained in his mind that he could call commands, tie ropes, and carry bags without once having to think about it. Working was so mindless that it acted as a bit of a therapeutic exercise to him. the time of day when he could turn off his brain and just let his body do the work. Work seemed to buzz on by and before he knew it, it was time to clock out for the day. On the lift down to the main lobby, he ran into Krill, telling him that either the young engineer got off at the exact same time as him or he waited to catch the same lift as him. Either way, the pirate stared off as the young man began to speak to him, doing his usual ranting about something work-related. Atazos looked over to him as he talked about being flying free rather than working in a shipyard... he had his attention until he used the collective term 'us' to place him in the same category of dreamer as him. This was more than a little annoying to the sky pirate as he hated being placed in a box. But the kid was young and he didn't know Atazos well enough to know that the simple phrasing was enough to annoy him. He let it slide. He turned and looked at the walls going by as the lift went down. "If you want to do something, do it. Dreaming doesn't do anything by itself..." He was quiet as the elevator went down the rest of the way and rested at the bottom floor. Atazos stepped off the elevator and walked over to Moria's desk. He could tell something was on her mind as this was the second time that she completely ignored him that day. He looked at what she was doing, but it made very little sense to him. The bureaucracy was hard to follow as he had never filled out a form in his entire life... finally, he spoke up, trying to grab her attention. "Hey, pretty lady." He smiled, waiting for her response. "Here for my paycheck... and maybe you and me can go on a little date? I know a nice place near your side of town that I'm sure you'd like." He felt a little different hitting on her in his nicer clothes. The fact that he no longer looked like street scum made him look a lot more serious in his advances rather than playful. |

Adventure Log At first Moira did not even look up at Atazos even when he spoke. She was already long since lost in her work, but managed to give him enough attention to at least respond. "Hi..." she said as she flipped a few pages, wrote something down and then repeated the process. She sounded very tired on her voice and almost a little emotionless, but that could just be her being so focused on her work of course. But then Atazos continued. The part about the paycheck was ordinary to Moira, but what suddenly came after had a slightly different effect on her. As Atazos mention the word "date" Moira slipped with her pen in the middle of writing a sentance and quickly looked up at Atazos. It had seemed almost impossible to break Moira out of focus when she was working, and if anyone had ever even done it before Atazos would be one of the few. She looked surprised and almost like she was afraid that he would eat her or something. She sat quiet for a short while trying to figure out what had just happened. "You... are asking me out?" she said and closed up the books infront of her, picked them up and turned away from Atazos to place them back in the bookshelf. "Why?" she continued and turned her had back to Atazos again as she placed the books back. "It's... well I shouldn't say sudden, what I did yesterday was sudden. So why do I feel surprised?" Moira took one of the smaller notebooks, holding it close to her as she walked around the desk to face Atazos. She moved her hair away from her face with her hand and didn't looked down a little rather than looking him straight in the face. "Sure... I would love to." she said with a smile before she began walked to the gate of the tower. Edited by Vinterblod, Nov 14 2011, 09:38 PM.

Atazos smiled at her as she walked around the desk. Even dressed in the Imperial mage garb, she was still a very lovely girl. He looked at her as she looked at the ground a little nervously. He had not been too serious when he had asked her out on the date, but her reaction was beyond adorable. It occurred to him that she may have never been asked out before in her life, a fact that both flattered him and blew his mind. Perhaps the fact she was a mage put people off of her, but he was surprised this kept all the vultures and lectures in the ranks of the Empire from hitting on her. Perhaps she just shot everyone else down before, but he didn't let this get to his confidence as he interacted with her. He cleared his throat and made a small motion towards the desk. "Can't take you out unless I get paid, princess." He smiled cattily at her, trying to convey that he was serious, but was willing to forgive it this once.

Adventure Log Moira quickly walked back into the room and passed Atazos. Her rapid turn around back to the desk made it more than obvious that she had completely forgotten about the payment the exact moment he had surprised her like that. "I am sorry, I just kind of forgot what I was doing. So sorry." she said a little embarassed over her sudden brain freeze. She walked around the desk and opened up one of the drawers to pick up a pouch of gold coins, one just like the day before. As she walked back she handed it to Atazos and apologized one more time. The both of them walked out of the building together, and Moira locked up the huge gate just like she had done the day before. The key opened up the shutter door and the mechanism inside was fiddled with in order for the gate to be closed up with steel bars. "So, where did you plan on taking me if I may ask?" Moira asked as she closed up the shutter door and put back the necklace key around her neck. She turned back to Atazos "I should probably get changed before too, right? I am not used to this to be honest..." she said and laughed a little. It was a somewhat insecure laugh, like she was trying to make it less obvious that she was actually nervous. > +200 gold gained. |

Atazos followed her out of the gate and watched as she locked it closed. His bag of gold in his hand clattered a little as he pocketed it next to the other small coin purse within. He was now sitting on a grand total of three-hundred-ish coins, more than enough, he hoped, for a slightly above par dinner for two. He smiled as Moria asked him questions, worried about her appearance in her uniform. The pirate looked at her wearing a smirk as he felt more questions coming on about how she should look and how she should dress. He reached out, grabbing her hand and locked his eyes with her own black eyes. "Don't worry, Moria. You look fantastic. We're going out for dinner, not going to a ball." He chuckled a bit, realizing that he was wearing his work clothes now as well, albeit nicer clothes than he normally wore but work clothes all the same. He took her hand and lead her West of the tower, right along the line that Asharei was split between the higher class part of town and the slummier bits. Taverns were open this time in the evening and normally served food, but were more pricey than pure restaurants. There were only a few within his price range that would be open, so, he kept an eye out for any. Along this side of town, most would be fairly high class (at least as opposed to what he was used to). |

Adventure Log Moira looked away from Atazos as quickly as she could, trying to avoid getting her eyes locked with his. "Fantastic is probably a overstatement, but I suppose you are right." she said as their hands connected and they began walking together away from the north tower, west of it. "I've never been on a ball before either though." she chuckled a little and smiled warmly. The way she said the words made it clear that she did not really feel bothered by it, neither did she expect it to happen anytime soon anyway. Though she hadn't really expected on being asked out either. There was thanfully no hard winds this evening, so the ever so regular snow was gently falling from the sky. It was really great wheater for a walk through the city. Not only that, but the company was pleasant too, and also as one could expect walking with a imperial seal sort of had it benefits. Guards and regular people alike seemed to greet and generally be nicer when Moira was around. Even a street rat like Atazos got respect just because of the company. After a bit of walking the two came to a street with a tavern and a restaurant. The tavern, the brass dragon, was a good place to have some drinks and it also served food for a rather reasonable price. It also seemed to be a rather cozy place with its dimmed room only lighten by candles. It definietly had some atmosphere at least. The restaurant called the golden gates was a much more expensive place, and rightfully it looked very fancy. |

Atazos was more that relived that we wasn't being hassled by the guards, he was very happy that he could enjoy a nice night out with Moira without having to deal with foul-mouthed, disrespectful imperial guards giving him flak for dressing like a bum. He saw the tavern on the edge of the high-class district, but gave it little mind. He wanted to bring her to a nice restaurant to talk, not some dolled up pub that served food. When he saw the Golden Gate restaurant, he smiled covertly. It may have been the most expensive restaurant in the mid-class district, but with a regular income it seemed okay to splurge just this once. He looked over to Moira and smiled. "This is the place~" He chuckled before turning his head to look at the light up eatery once more. On closer inspection, he wondered if this was the type of place that they should have dressed up for. However, he wouldn't know for sure until they had a look inside. He held Moira's hand tightly in his and lead her to the front doors of the place. He was actually a little excited as it would be the first time the sky pirate ever ate anywhere more class than a pirate's banquet hall - though he wondered if it would be anywhere near as memorable. |

Adventure Log As they entered the restaurant they were instantly greeted by a very clean and well dressed young man. He took a quick look in a reservation book and made sure there were seats ready for the newly arrived visitors. After confirming that he smiled and showed them both the way over to one of the tables where they sat down. The inside of the restaurant looked very fancy, had neat flower decorations everywhere and probably the most comfortable chairs in the whole world (probably not, but close). The nicely dressed young man went away for a second and came back with two menus, and handed them both out to Atazos and Moira. "Would you like something to drink while you decide what to order?" he said as he picked up a small notebook and a pen, ready to take an order any second. "I'll just have some water, please." Moira responded with a smile and looked over to Atazos. She looked a little worried, and she was. It was nothing serious, but she was wondering if it was really worth it for Atazos to blow all his money on something like this instead of something useful. Then again, maybe he just tried to impress her or something which would make sense but also be pretty weird considering he barely had any money at all. The waiter wrote down the order and looked over to Atazos "And you sir?" he continued. Atazos placed his order for a drink and the waiter quickly wrote it down. "It will be here in just a moment, sir." he said as he flipped up his notebook and walked away for now. (I just speeded it up a little, so you can place the order in your post and then just continue with talking and stuff you know. ^^ I am awesome!) |

The fanciness of the place didn't scare him off just yet. As they waited for refreshments to arrive, he looked across the table at his pretty dinner guest. He looked around once more before looking back at her. "Is this place suitable for us to talk? You mentioned something you wanted to tell me after work." Atazos smiled a little at her. Even if what she had to say wasn't ground breaking or anything, they would still enjoy a filling, delicious meal in one of the nicest places in Asharei. With any luck, he woulds score some more points with Moira, something that wasn't the highest priority on his list of things to do since he already had free success to her home, but it didn't hurt to try to win her over a little more... Adventure Log Moira discreetly looked around the restaurant. The other guests were busy with their own conversations, some of them laughing and talking loudly over each other. The waiter would not be back in a bit it seemed. It was probably alright to talk here even though it was more in the open than she would have hoped for to begin with. Their own conversation would be drowned in the sound from all the other guests anyway. The imperial clothed lady cleared her throat and turned her head back to face Atazos. She hesitated a little before speaking, and once again looked around the room but only from the corner of her eyes this time. "I have not fully thought this through yet, but last night I was working and just noticed something that gave me an idea. Can't go too much into detail right now, but I started to read up on a few things..." she stopped very abruptly as she saw that the waiter was approaching with their drinks. The two ordered something to eat while the waiter was there to leave the drinks, and once again he left them for now. Moira looked a tad bit annoyed that she had been cut off in the middle of something. She took a sip from her water and tried to get back on her train of thoughts again. "Right, so... I need you to go see someone tomorrow." she said sounding like it wasnothing special even though it had just came from nowhere. After another sip from her glas of water she continued. "I would do it myself, but I have to be at my post so... Of course I will make sure you get paid anyway, no problem." a smile appeared on her lips. It was rather obvious that she was screwing a little with the system when paying Atazos even though he was off doing something else. Then again maybe it was just work related? After all she had not explained herself just yet, and maybe she wouldn't even do so. Either way some more specifics would be nice. |

Atazos raised an eyebrow at her behavior. If it was not obvious before that she was a little uncomfortable talking in public about this topic, it was now. He smiled a little, finding the way she acted nervously about the prospect of illegal actions simply adorable. He reached out and placed his hand on top of hers, ensuring her that this was a safe place to talk about anything she had on her mind. His dark eyes seemed to glint at the mention of seeing her friend. It sounded a bit risky, but this was the kind of man who stole right under the noses of guards. He nodded slowly. "Someone? A friend of yours? You never told me what kind of company you keep..." He chuckled. "I just hope they all aren't like me. I'd start to think you have a taste for 'bad boys.'" He pulled her hand closer and leaned forward to plant a kiss on the back of her hand. To a human, it would have felt rough with her tough, Novali skin, but to him, the back of her hand was as soft as any other. He let it fall and looked Moira straight in the eyes, wondering how she would take it.

Adventure Log Moira blushed slightly as Atazos grabbed her hand and kissed it gently. His lips felt soft against her skin making her somewhat tingly inside for a second. As he let her hand fall out of his grip she quickly shook her head and pretended like nothing just happened. "A-Anyway..." she took another drink from her glas of water before she continued. "He is a horologist, a clockmaker. I have not seen him for quite some time now, but I am sure he will help if he know I sent you." she said and thought for a short while. When she was deep in her own thoughts she always looked troubled, but that might just have been because she was so concentrated on one thing. When she was done thinking the troubled expression from before quickly vanished again like it had never even been there. She now smiled at Atazos instead. "You can find him close to the black market districts. He has the only workshop there so it shouldn't be that hard to find." she said and looked around the room from the corner of her eyes one more time. "When you are there just give him this..." Moira descreetly handed over a rolled up parchment with a piece of silk tied around it. It didn't look much to the eye, probably thrown together really quickly last night. "That should be all I think." she said and smiled again gently. |

Again, Atazos found her overly cautious behavior to be the cutest thing there was. It was almost as if she was doing some... *gasp* illegal! He looked down at the piece of paper she handed him and nodded before taking it, not too worried about being covert about it. Once he had i in hand, he pocketed it and shook his head. "You know, if you keep acting suspicious, you might tip someone off~" He teased her, knowing that this would make her more nervous. Hopefully, he would be able to teach her how to break the law effectively as it was obvious she needed some help. "So clockmaker. Bad part of town. Sounds easy enough to find. Probably best your sending me... pretty young girls have been known not to fare to well there all alone." He reached down and tapped his fingers on the hilt of his sword. He was surprised that the restaurant worked let him walk into the place with it on his hip, but perhaps they thought he was an officer due to his company with another Imperial unit. The thought amused him to no end. |

Adventure Log Much like Atazos had expected when he pointed out her suspicious behaviour Moira got a little more nervous than before. She was not used to have secret plans like this, and neither did she feel all that secure about it in that crowded restaurant. And really it was hard not to get paranoid about it when you actually knew how easily information ended up in imperials hands. Even at that moment she thought to herself that she must have gone completely insane for even trying something like this. She was not even sure why she did it to begin with. "Sorry... you know how it is. It's almost like the walls have ears sometimes." she sighed a little and seemed to actually calm herself down a little. Even though it had scared her a little to begin with it seemed that Atazos telling her had helped somewhat. She was not sure if it was a good idea to go deeper into the whole thing though. Atazos would understand later anyway, so there was no need for her to explain more right. Moira felt a little bad for making him go and do it though, if anyone found out he would be the one to get in trouble. It was not really right. Then all of a sudden Atazos mentioned that pretty young girls such as herself could get in trouble close to the black market districts. She raised a eye brow, gave away a weak smile and wondered what exactly he was saying. "I have no problem taking care of my own." she said and laughed a little. "I might be a 'pretty young girl', as you put it, but I promise that I have enough experience to fend for myself. The reason I am not going myself is because it would be suspicious, considering where I am stationed and the fact that I am a imperial. I can't just go around however I please during the day." she felt she was stating things he already knew, so she ended it with a smile just to make sure he didn't think she got annoyed or angry by what he said. |
