Alice sat on her bunk, alone in the Crew Quarters, thinking about the Funeral, she had spoken and was proud of the fact that she didn't totally break down. She thought about Robert, he was taking this hard. Well, of course he was. Adams was like a brother to him, she remembered his raw display of grief and his tears at the Funeral. She had found it hard to look him in the eye at the Funeral, Adams sacrificed himself for her and Riley. If it wasn't for them he would still be alive... But it was the past, she couldn't change it no matter how hard she wished she could. All she could do now was live her life, honor Adams' sacrifice by standing strong. This she would do; No more fear, she would be strong like Robert, like Kaja and like Adams. She reached up and touched Adam's bandana, she would wear it as a reminder, a reminder of his sacrifice. But she'd need some more training, after all the only reason she killed so many on the Dryden was her quick trigger finger compensating for her lack of aim and coordination. She would ask Kaja, she didn't feel right asking Cadogan for anything... She got up from her bunk, strapped her Pistol to her belt and left the Crew Quarters. She reached Kaja's quarters, they were much larger and seperate from the crews own due to her rank. She knocked gently. "Commander? You in?" |

Kaja hit her omnitool, breaking out of her reverie and took a deep breath. She wasn't going to get any sleep anyway. She stood and went to the doors, the automatic hiss and slide answering before she did. "Of course Lieutenant. Come in." She beckoned Alice into the room and let the door close behind them. She went straight over and poured something amber and heavy into the shallow spirit glass. Which she downed and refilled instantly. Hell, she was on long leave anyway. "Would you like a drink?" |

"Of course Lieutenant. Come in. Would you like a drink?" Alice walked in, these Officers quarters were amazing.. "Umm... I don't know, I'm not much of a drinker. I'll have what you're having." Kaja poured Alice a glass and passed it to her. Alice looked at the bronze liquid before taking a large gulp. She spluttered in surprise, she hadn't touched anything this strong since the Academy and had forgotten how strong alcohol could get. She took another cautious sip. "Anyway, Commander. I wanted to ask you if.. Woah, this stuff is strong.. if you had time for some weapons training.. I'm not very skilled myself and... I-I'd appreciate the help." She managed, her voice cracking under the influence of the liqour. |

Kaja carefully took the glass from Alice with a slight smile and poured her something less harsh in the form a sweet wine before the girl ended up choking on the military grade liquor. She handed her the new drink and downed the spirits in her glass before switching to drinking Alice's abandoned one. "Weapons training? May I ask why and for what purpose?" She knew Alice would have had rudimentary weapons training as part of her Alliance cadetship. But clearly she felt she wanted infantry grade weapons training. Kaja wanted to know before she went putting weapons in someone's hands. Kaja slipped off the formal uniform coat she was wearing and threw it over the back of a chair. She gestured to the lounge seating opposite her as she sat with one leg tugged underneath her casually. She looked drained and even more pale than usual. |

Alice collapsed into the seat, Officer furniture sure was luxurious and she would enjoy every damn second. She took a sip of her new drink, just her kind of thing; light and fruity unlike Kaja's drink which was about as weak as Adams was. She chuckled at Kaja's question. "Have you seen me shoot? I'm surprised I got out of the Dryden alive with my shooting skills. I have no accuracy or precision. Hell, the only certain thing about my gunnery is gravity! Anyway, I didn't want to dishonor Adams sacrifice by dying on a different battlefield..." She took a sip of her, drink. "What is this stuff? It's fantastic, tastes of Asari." Kaja raised an eyebrow wondering if Alice was aware of what she had just said. Then wondering if that was a literal comment, and then deciding it was best to let that one go. She cleared her throat and downed the last of the drink she had been nursing. She did not pour another one. "Are you asking me to teach you as a C.O. or are you asking me as your friend?" She put the glass down on the table separating them from eachother and looked at the girl carefully. "I can't teach you anything officially without you getting a transfer into my area or onto my team." Such as it was. She might not even be in the Alliance in a few weeks time. Dishonourable discharge maybe? "If you're asking me as your friend. I'll teach you whatever you want, whenever I can. But it wont be as steady as if you were assigned with me." |

Alice weighed up her options; the crew of the Agincourt were 'nice' to her but she didn't really have any friends where as with Kaja she felt at home. Strange, considering how little they knew about each other but that wasn't important. They had been through a lot together. "I'd love to be transferred, frankly you've been a better friend to be than the Agincourt's crew have been in the last year plus you're rather badass. Make me feel safe.." She could feel herself slipping away, she never could handle her drink. "Hand to.. Hand training would be useful.." |

Kaja laughed softly and stood up. "Well if you are certain..." She rifled around for a moment before providing a set of forms. "Standard transfer request forms. Fill them out and I will submit them. I can also put them in with my crew requests anyway so maybe that will help smooth the process some." She waved a hand in a manner than indicated she had been drinking quite alot, though she was not at risk of falling on her ass anytime soon. Instead she refilled Alice's glass and her own and sat back down. "Hand combat is great. But then I am trained to be good at it. Just don't ask me to teach you to use a sniper rifle. I can't shoot one of those for shit." |

"Same. So.. Much paperwork.. But then we should probably be used to it by now? Alliance does love their paperwork..." Alice downed the rest of her drink and took the forms from Kaja. She had a quick flick through them before placing them on the small coffee table. "Is there any chance of another glass?" Alice staggered to the bar, searching for more wine. |

"Yes they do. Everything has a form. They had forms for the forms." She pointed towards the bar. There were alot of bottles. "Yep, don't need a form for the alcohol. So there is plenty of that." Kaja managed to get to her feet. She went to the bar and handed Alice the whole bottle while she grabbed a decanter filled with the scotch she had been downing. She refilled her glass and leant against the bar. "I really love my job. I hate the politics and the paperwork. Just give me a gun and a team and point me at the bad guy." Yep, she was drunk. |
