Omega...the criminal capital of the Galaxy. Home to thugs, pirates, mercenaries and poor folks who can't afford to make it anywhere else. People regularly go missing before turning up severely beaten or dead.

You, for whatever reason have managed to survive on Omega and make a bit of a name for yourself. You have taken a job from a Batarian known as Silus to take out an offshoot of the Blood Pack mercenary group. Success means a handsome payout from Silus and a future friend on the station.

Wroth made his way to the meeting place, his tech armour up in case a trap awaited him. His large bulk, even for a Krogan meant that people often avoided confrontation with him. However there was always a small gang looking to make a name for themselves. As he entered the Red Bar in one of the most southern districts of Omega, the first thing he noticed was the women lining the wall. A vast array of women from all the races of the Galaxy paraded themselves in little to no clothing, their bodies moving in time with the music. He was then approached by a small volus.

"Good day Wroth. Silus is ready for you."

The tiny Volus was met with a grunt of acknowledgement before leading Wroth to Silus. The Red Bar was the only place left under Silus' control. The rest of his stuff taken by the Blood Pack. He sat at a rounded table with a Batarian woman at either side of him. They were not pleasant to look at, the majority of their flesh exposed as they smoked.

"Urdnot Wroth. When I received your communication I didn't expect it to be you."

Silus took note of Wroth's armour.

"There is no need for that armour here."

Wroth scowled at him.

"I'd rather keep it up. Better to have it and not need it."

The Batarian returned a scowl at the use of a human phrase. He was one of the few survivors of the few Batarian survivors from Torfan and since then had never forgiven humanity.

"So, take a seat while we wait for the others to arrive."

Kairn wandered into the bar. Seemed good enough, not nearly as good as Afterlife though, but then what was? He was unarmed, save for a pistol. This district was notorious for theft, well more notorious than the others, so he was better off lightly-armed otherwise he'd end up being blasted with his own arsenal. Now that would be embarrassing! It was a small bar, scantily-clad women of various race lined the walls and adorned the tables and it had the usual breed of gruff Batarian bartenders. He saw an important-looking Batarian sitting at a private table with what looked like two Batarian women (You never could tell with the Batarians..) at his arm. Another Krogan sat with him, black plates? This must be the Urdnot Wroth he'd heard so much about...

He hailed from Urdnot and was a fearsome warrior. Yes, he had heard much about the 'Juggernaut' but more about his attempts to raise awareness of the Genophage amongst Humanity. Most Krogan scoffed at this but it was important. Wroth was surrounded by the orange glow of Tech Armour, that was smart. This could have easily been a trap, Kairn hadn't seen that danger. He didn't keep enemies, not for long anyway... He flexed his arms and strengthend his biotic barrier, It'd be enough to dispel a few shots or punches. Anything bigger, well he'd cross that bridge when he reached it. He reached the Batarian and nodded in greeting.

"Silus?"

He offered his hand to Silus, it wasn't taken. Well, this was a grand start.. He turned to the other Krogan, hoping for a warmer greeting.

"You must be Wroth? Your reputation precedes you."

As Silus ignored the other Krogans hand, he gestured for him to sit down. The Krogan took a seat on the opposite side of the table before acknowledging Wroth's prescence.

"You must be Wroth? Your reputation precedes you."

Wroth didn't know how to take his words. Many Krogan thought his attempts to get humanity on side were a waste of time, yet he felt they were destined for big things in the Galaxy. No other race had risen as quickly to a position on the Council since discovering the Relays as humanity had done.

"Another Krogan? Silus you must be worried."

The Batarian snorted.

"Don't be so naiive. This is important to me, it's my entire livelihood at stake and I don't want it getting messed up. If I had an army at my disposal i'd send every single person to make sure this job gets done. As I don't have an army, a couple of Krogan is the next best thing. Besides, there are a few more people due to arrive."

Wroth chuckled at Silus. He was a typical Batarian, worried about himself and to hell with everyone else. It was a weakness that plagued his entire race. Wroth understood the need for unity more than most, his clan already starting to unite the Krogan clans under one name. Worth then turned to this other Krogan.

"What is your name then?"

"Kairn, Jorgal Kairn. I've heard about Urdnot's efforts, you do good work. It's a shame not all Krogan see it that way.."

Wroth was nice enough, in all his years of Mercenary work he had grown tired of self-proclaimed badasses who thought a lack of manners intimidated him. This Silus guy though... An icy character it seemed, if Aria didn't support this mission he wouldn't of thought twice about snapping his neck. Aria needed the Blood Pack under control, if they were running rampant someone might start thinking they'd make a better overlord than Aria...

Wroth had heard that name before, a mercenary if he remembered correctly. There was one thing he disliked in a Krogan and that was selflessness. Their race was dying and anyone not doing their best to help the cause was, in his eyes, a traitor. He chose to bite his tongue, simply nodding in response to the words. His reason for the mission was, as most people, for the money. However his share was going to be used to pay his way into a meeting with a human diplomat.

"Would you like a drink?"

The small Volus spoke to the two Krogans.

"I would rather just get this meeting started."

"Not yet my friend. We are awaiting the rest of your companions."

"Well if we're going to be waiting a while, we might as well have drinks!"

He had seen it, that little twitch at his name. Wroth, Wroth... He couldn't remember if he'd angered anybody of that name, perhaps he'd killed a freind or relative? Ah, these days the Urdnots were very anti-Merc. Ironic really, he remembered fighting alonside Urdnot Wrex killing Vorcha for a handful of Creds. Oh, how times change... This Krogan was obviously an idealist, he wished he had existed 200 years ago and seen the reaction when he had suggested uniting the clans! The look on his clan-leader's face was murderous to say the least, if he hadn't of left rather swiftly left he would've been killed or exiled, most probably the latter!

"I'll have a Ryncol, want anything Wroth?"

"I'm not here for the drink Kairn."

His answer was short much like his patience. He wanted to get the job done so he could carry on with his overall mission. Drinking and waiting for the other mercs to arrive was something he'd rather do without.

"Come on, Wroth! We could both be dead in a days time! One drink?"

Kairn exclaimed, taking his Ryncol and nodding to the waiter in thanks. Wroth was too serious, you had to be very careful about that otherwise you quickly became cold, fully. Kairn could be cold and merciless but he hadn't sacrificed his natural warmth. He was sure that wouldn't happen to Wroth but the Mercenary lifestyle could change you.. He brought his Ryncol to his lips and drank deeply, it's blunt taste hitting his tastebuds like a hammer. He shook his head, grinning, he loved the first taste of Ryncol. Kairn suddenly became aware of Silus who was regarding him with nothing short of contempt. He looked around, the bartenders, waiters and patrons were all staring at him. He changed his mood, he was not welcom here.

"I'm starting to think that I'm not liked around here?"

"Surprised? Anyone on Aria's payroll is watched closely in these parts..."

"I'm not on her payroll, I'm doing a favour for a freind."

"Immaterial. I'll be watching you.."

Dick.. Aria was the best thing to happen to Omega in years! Plus she played a mean Skyllian Five...

Wroth cracked a smile as the Batarian and other Krogan snapped back at each other. In his eyes they were both a waste of biological matter. One a sleazy business one and the other a traitor to his own species. As his eyes panned the room he spotted a Turian hassling one of the female Turian dancers. To Wroth they all looked the same, the only sign that gave away the gender difference was the clothes of the dancer. The male grabbed at the dancer with lurid intention, Wroth quickly getting to his feet. His mouth opened and a booming voice erupted drowning out the music of the club.

"Leave her alone!"

The Turian turned, clearly drunk by his swayed walk. He moved towards Wroth and when he was within reach began to prod him.

"You better watch who you talk to Krogan. I'm a big man round here and i'll have you killed."

Wroth hit the Turian with an uppercut, leaving him prone on the floor.

"Well when you wake back up lets see you try."

As Wroth sat down a small group of Volus came from nowhere and dragged the Turian out of the bar, leaving him on the street.

"Whether or not a woman is a prostitute, they still deserve to be shown some level of respect."

Silus looked at him mockingly.

"You my friend have your morals sorely mixed up."

Wroth turned and looked down over Silus, his gigantic frame casting a dark shadow over the Batarian.

"When your race has its own Genophage, tell me how you feel about females. Until then, i'd watch your mouth."
