Cyber Meetings; Replace Augusta with monthly cyber meeetings

due to the challenges of having membership travel to Augusta from all Maine points, it would be terrific if we could establish a cyber version of a club meeting on this site with proper meeting rules. Perhaps once a month a topic(thread) or several separate threads could have, say, 3 days of open discussion to be followed by a motion, binding vote, and recorded, as a means of conducting club business

Big news from your dual sport and dirt bike association!

The steering committee met on the June 28th in Augusta, and determined due to our Associations state wide reach, we would move to a semi-annual meeting for full membership in Augusta at the Great Wall Buffet (or other location with advance notice), exact dates to be determined and posted here, and that our monthly meetings would move to a new section of threads on our Discussion Board to be as inclusive of as many members around the state as possible. We appreciate all the input!

We also decided that as we become more skilled at organizing group rides and events, those rides, which often have discussions before, during and after would also serve as ad-hoc member meetings to best capture the intent and spirit of our association - we are a dual sport and dirt bike association after all!

At that steering committee meeting we also signed off on the paperwork to form a mutual benefit non-profit corporation in Maine. To all our members who joined and are making this possible we thank you!

For new members about to join, or thinking about joining welcome! Our membership is only $25 per year (spouse and children under 18 are included) and checks can be sent to our Treasurer as described on our Home page. We hope to establish an online option for joining in the near future.

To get the latest news on rides in your area, updates on state rules and regulations that effect our sport please read our new Facebook page here.
