I noticed on the ADVrider forum that there is a meeting this Friday at Maine Cycle. I noticed on the AMA website that MEDSDBA actually made some progress on the contradictions in streetbike/atv registrations here in Maine. Is somebody from the club actually going to announce these things on your own website? There's nothing here. I don't do facebook - and your facebook page doesn't let anyone view it unless they are logged in as a member. In my opinion you shouldn't rely solely on facebook for communication, because not everyone is on facebook. Just curious about your outlook and how you are handling communications. I'd like to see the organization grow. |

I don't typically use ADV I normally only use DRriders, Doesn't seem like anyone regularly use's this forum... which is a shame since, it would be nice to meet other dual sporters in maine... And since I host a DR ride with many guys every year.. wouldnt mind having a few locals join. The guidlines about registration are confusing since, as of last year at least if your bike was registered, insured, and you were legal to ride there was nothing wrong riding trails (that alloud dirtbikes).. Now its starting to look like you have to register them as both, but only on certain trails? which is fine, but kind of a P.I.T.A if your from out of state, which about 15-20 guys that ride with me are. |

Peter,It was great to see you Friday at Maine Cycles. You and Soarmking both make a good points! We started this website/forum with all good intentions. Early on we had some traffic, but most of the discussion ended up on FB which became our forum for discussion. Clearly, as our group becomes more active with the up coming ride season , it will be important to focus our activity discussions back here onto MEDSDB's website! We most surely welcome the interest and want to have even more members actively involved in our ride/event activities, and especially in our push to promote more and more places to ride. Brian ps I think DMV registered out of state bikes should be good to go unless there is either a verbal warning or signage prohibiting access.
