THE URBAN PIG. I can’t decide if that would be an amazing corner bistro, or a terrifying one. |

It was shocking. I'd never seen him viciously go after something like that. At least it was quick for the rabbit. Poor thing. My current dog (11 pounds) got a chipmunk and dropped it as soon as it squeaked. She does not have a killer instinct. |

To be honest, I was surprised Herman DIDN’T do what Tank did. I think she thought the rabbit was a moving version of the stuffed toys she adores. She had a gentle grip and was just prancing around carrying the rabbit. She spit him out the second I told her to drop. I was surprised to see he didn’t make it given how gentle she was. I honestly don’t think she fully connected the rabbit with food; I think she saw motion and the prey drive kicked in and she chased. But given the prey drive is there, I was expecting more predatory behavior. |

To be fair, I might start biting if you moved me out into the country. H3L has never caught a small animal to my knowledge, but I’m pretty sure she’d gleefully kill it. She has an insane prey drive and she wants to kill all the things. I’ve also seen how she shakes her stuffed animals. 8.75lbs of walking death! |

Aqua that would be hysterical. H3L I think would do awesome. Wolf has killed rats and possums. He's got quite a body count but seems to have reached a truce with the large tomcat next door. That piglet would have been snacks at our place |

Kunekune pet today; aloha barbeque in August. Not that I could do that. I would go the rest of my life w/o bacon if I had to associate an actual porcine acquaintance w/ what eventually ended up on my plate. No, no, no! Unilateral decisions are not a good idea for those who don't live alone. Not to mention, I would really not care to think that a pig could substitute for my dad. |

Lol she really is though! She literally slowly and gently steps half her body out of the doggy door, then she full on sprints to the she'd. I swear she thinks she's being all quiet and slick. She makes this desperate whine while she chases them across the yard. One time she was chasing it around the shed, the rabbit actually stopped, like full on stopped, and she STILL couldn't catch it. I watch out for the baby bunnies if they come out but the adults? Meh. She has no hunting skills. |

Something like this happened near where I live - SPCA seized several animals from a farm that were the victims of extreme neglect. This included a pot-bellied pig. The staff spent months nursing it back to health before they could put it up for adoption. The person that ended up taking it found out, after a couple of months, couldn't properly care for it. So they butchered it (despite the fact that they signed a form on adoption that they wouldn't). The staff is devastated and can't understand why the couple didn't just return it and they could try to find a new home. Also, they didn't legally do anything wrong as it is not illegal to butcher a pig. However, it was mentioned that pot-bellied pigs really aren't considered food animals. I'm not sure they can actually eat any of the meat. |

Do you even have to ask??? Here's my current conundrum: (1) my spiffy new spring squall jacket from Lands End is raspberry in color; (2) I forgot that Ruby's coat is pink when I ordered said spiffy new spring squall jacket from Lands End in raspberry. Last night I realized we looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVio in Twins. I changed to a different jacket. Sigh. Spoiler: click to toggle

If H3L and Baxter could join evil forces, then they might be able to take over the world. This winter, Baxter (7lbs) ripped a chunk of squirrel flesh out of a squirrel butt as it was escaping up a tree. I have no doubt that he would have ripped it to shreds if the thing hadn't decide that a hunk of its butt was a good thing to leave behind. |

This could be my parents dog - a Jack Russel named Pixie. she would 'kill' the squeaker in any stuffed animal she was given (she would get tons on Christmas and my parents living room would look like the scene of a massacre) and would chase anything that moved outside. Disaster almost ensured one Christmas when a neighbour put out deer made out of lights - she ignored them until one moved (animatronic). My Dad said it took all he strength to keep her from attacking it (I shudder to think of the carnage that would have resulted). After that, every time she walked by that neighbour's yard, my Dad had to hold her back - she obliviously remembered. |

We would do our morning feedings before school and Mom would drive down and pick us up. In the winter, with the car heater going, the smell was too much. Mom bought us boots that had to stay at the barn. |

I would start calling that pig Sir Lunchalot and put the nearest abattoir or local butcher on speed dial. Well, the second part is not true but I could see me telling old family stories of my mother's pet lambs and how her parents and the farmer who lived down the road shamelessly used her kindheartedness to hand-raise orphaned lambs that did not, in fact, end up back in their flock as happy mummy ewes once they were hogget-sized, because hand-raised lambs think they are people and are a bad influence on the other sheep. The LW is in a very difficult situation but his grieving wife should not have brought any animal into their home without getting his input and agreement first. |

My female dachshund is a excellent mouser. As far as I know, tiny tot has yet to encounter anything prey-like, some I'm not sure what he would do. I'd love a baby pig, but probably not after it grew up. I wish tea cup pigs were really thing. |
