And it is here- wind gusts up to 50mph today, but so far, no snow. Lots of rain though. We may get some late tonight or tomorrow.

Anyway, it's a 'finish up the painting on the rental' day. Looks like we may have new tenants, so I need to get busy.

Happy Saturday, Friends!

Good morning, PM. Rental seems to be coming along pretty quickly.

Rain all day here, but good times planned with my Girl Scouts. I will certainly earn tomorrow’s nap :)

80 is the high for today. We are in Philly so it's strange for us!

Up super early because we have to be at church at 9am because we are picking the music for our wedding!! They have a bunch of couples at once and they play all of the songs on the organ :)

The final practice went well last night. It's all up to them now.

I have to run a couple errands then I'm heading to the high school. I have to make and print the programs, then finish a set piece.

Incredible, you will definitely earn that nap. I hope you and the girls have a wonderful time today!

FCL-it sounds like you will have a fun day. When we got married, the music was very traditional-Hubby and I agreed that if we ever renewed, the recessional would be "One Shining Moment" the song that's played to the video collage at the end of the NCAA Tournament. ;) yeah, we are weird like that.

Morning PM, FCL, and Incredible!

Pudgy's- Yay new tenants! Are you painting the inside or the outside?
Incredible- have a good day, and advanced well wishes for tomorrow's nap ;)
FCL- A high of 80?! Wow! Good luck picking your wedding music!

Nothing really interesting going on at the PBW house today - I might stop by the post office if I get around to putting a package together. Then maybe a little bit of cleaning, but other than that, I'll probably just waste time on the internet (although I really should start studying for ProfessionalExamInMyField. But I don't wanna.)

Have a lovely day, ladies, and try not to get caught in any wind gusts!!

Good morning all. DH went to Krispy Kreme to get us a couple of donuts so help yourselves to donuts and coffee.

It's supposed to get to almost 80 today but may rain. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful but now they say more snow flurries may happen Monday! What a weird spring!

Good morning Peeps!

I hope everyone is OK after the snowstorm!

Unseasonably warm today; it's already 69 degrees at 9am! High of 80 predicted.

I think I'll do some yard cleanup today. Lots of sticks and small branches are in the yard after our recent storms.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning everyone! The storm is just starting here. We've got the ice coming down right now. Luckily no wind so far. The kids activities have all been canceled due to weather so we may hit up the beer store and put the hockey game on at 3 . Then as long as we don't lose power the plan is make your own pizzas and watch the mighty ducks for movie night.

Enjoy picking your wedding music.
Have fun with the girl guides.
And a great day to everyone else :)

PBW, it's all interior. The previous tenant left the place in a shambles-to the point where I had to replace the carpeting in two rooms, and the bathtub water knob and faucet. Put it this way-they did NOT get their security deposit back and it has cost us some serious money to get the place rentable again.

I was really disappointed in this tenant, as I thought she would have taken better care of the place. :(

Good Saturday Morning, Peeps!

Yikes! They are predicting 80 degrees where I am, too! Don't quite know what to wear. Going for a hair style in a bit; first one in three months, so yes, I am way overdue! Will be good to see the old dyed brown hair gone and the new natural "platinum" white that is coming in more prevalent. Want to look nice in time for the mini Peep meet tomorrow in NYC with Bunny and HarpKitten and whomever else would like to join us. Would also be nice to look good for the new temp job. Right now, I'm sitting here with a GlamGlow Charcoal face masque on my face, waiting for it to harden so I can wash it off. I should be getting my IPSY bag today and that's always a nice once-a-month treat, which after the week I've had with tummy issues, I think I deserve (have my consult with the GI on Wed., before work.)

Have a good day, Peeps! Take care! Stay safe!

Good morning. Everyone in the path of extreme weather, please stay safe. I feel guilty that our weather is supposed to be a sunny 85 today. But tomorrow's prediction is possible severe weather in the area, so I'm going to savor today. Wishing you all the best day you can have! Off to find more coffee.

Morning Peeps!

So far, I am the only one up. Really waiting on DH so I can have coffee. (We are camping, and I have to turn the generator on to use the Kerrigan. Gen is close to our bed - ao can be a little loud.) We pulled in late (after 9), so we didn't stay up too late. Today should be nice, low 80'speed. It was fairly warm a bit ago when I took the dog for a walk. Will celebrate DD's birthday this evening with cupcakes and ice cream. Tomorrow is racing.

Hope no one gets hit too hard by the weather. It's been kind of bipolar here....warm for 3 days, then really windy, highs only in 50'some, then back up to almost 80 the next day ^o)

Happy Saturday!

Morning friends! It is a "small dog warning wind advisory" day today.
The birds on my patio are not pleased with this wind.

Take care of yourself!

Morning Peeps! It's been cloudy all morning but the sun is trying. Going to be upper 70's to low 80's. Tomorrow is supposed to be thunderstorms.

I woke up at 6am. Took a short walk at like 630. Then went back to bed with DH after watching some tv. Just woke back up and it's almost Noon. Going to do some grocery shopping and home. Cooking fish for dinner tonight.

Thankfully the water heater was a quick and easy fix, so now we can wash things.

Morning All!

Currently 63 degrees and highs in the 80’s for all of the next 7 days. I would appreciate it if someone could stop the wind. I’m acquiring a huge hatred for my neighbors bougainvillea right now as it’s not dumping in her yard, but has chosen my courtyard (2garages away).

Had a great evening yesterday as my neighborDP, came for our usual Friday drink and we were later joined by our favorite neighbors M&S who brought friends along.

Today it’s laundry and I’m venturing out to have lunch at the local Scandinavian Club.

Stay safe everyone!

Good morning! Still a little chilly here, but it's going to 84 later. In a little while when my trailer is warmer I have a bit of housework to do. Then it's outside to water the potted plants.

Dinky - we had crazy winds yesterday trying to tear the tarp off my trailer and yank the trees out of the ground.

Seattle's forecast, once again, is a 100% chance of rain, although it is not currently raining, & a high of 50F. Lovely! Looks like I will need to take my daily walk about noon unless I wish to be out in a downpour (which I don't).

My sister is going to a baby shower this afternoon & -- wonder of wonders! -- the hostess has not asked the guests to provide the refreshments. What an amazing concept ... at least, to the church people here. Other Northwesterners are less devoted to the must-always-be-potluck idea.

Yesterday I replenished my ginger & white sugar supplies, so I can make the ginger cookies now. I didn't find the sanding sugar I wanted, so have sent a PM to Bets for advice on where I might find the clear crystals which look so nice.

Grocery shopping is done. I'm going to put the salmon into a ziplock bag with some teriyaki marinade then broil it later for dinner. Toss some asparagus, squash and zucchini in a foil pouch with some seasoning to cook. Dh and the boys will have broiled flounder instead of salmon though DS16 wants to try salmon. Tomorrow is burgers and hot dogs with baked beans, corn on the cob and homemade red skin potato wedges.

I'm going to try for a nap once the salmon is prepped

Currently 58, with a high of 64 predicted. The wind has calmed for the moment but is supposed to be coming back later.

Rampage was fun! I do love a good unbelievable action movie with Dwayne Johnson starring! George stole the show though :)

I do feel sorry for the little 6-7 yr old girl sitting next to me. Going by her reactions to some of the scenes, I am betting she is going to have nightmares tonight :(

LW - I will be there for dinner tomorrow! Lol.

Saucy - Right? I don't think a potluck is the best choice for a gift occasion. Lol.

BE - I am hoping to see that one.

Well, I got my anxiety up over nothing. The Scandinavian Club luncheon was....well, interesting. I got there 20min early, walked in, and found 40 people already seated and dining! Took a seat between strangers, ate a $22, warm “old peoples” meal then listened to a very boring lecture on a subject I could care less about. It wasn’t until I was midway thru the meal that I saw the gal from crochet who’d invited me (but hadn’t saved a seat or greeted me).
This really isn’t a group, that after one visit, I’m particularly interested in returning to.
My inner introvert is very happy.

Pink you're always welcome to stop by.

So far the angel hair pasta with herbs is done. Squash, zucchini and asparagus is baking for like 10 more minutes then I'll put it on broil for about 15 min. Last the fish goes in to broil which is the shortest at less than 10 minutes per batch. Choices are Teriyaki salmon or Flounder with old bay.

I'm back. Rental interior is all painted, curtains/curtain rods hung, oven cleaned, etc etc. All that's left is to get the plumber out to fix the faucets, and DS1 will be painting the stairwell to the rental. I'm just happy it's almost done.

Wind is blowing like crazy, and we have freezing rain here. It was a chore to chip the ice off my windshield, and the drive home was-challenging. It felt like I was on an ice rink. I should be happy though- an hour and a half north of us, my friends are using their snow throwers as they have about 8 inches of snow on the ground-and more coming.

After the emotional morning and a tense late afternoon drive home in almost white out conditions, we have found out that FirstSon has been called in to work for an emergency. As he works at a state prison, this is not good news.

I'm really ready for this day to be over.

Velma, it's crazy. Did you see the photos of Sheboygan's lighthouse? Amazing how big the waves are on Lake Michigan. There's power outages to the north of us. Fingers crossed that we don't lose power.

spoiled for size- this lighthouse is 55 feet tall.

Green Bay has over a foot so far, and according to WTMJ, they are getting another foot of snow by tomorrow evening. Lambeau field closed down today. No tours or pro shop. That never happens, but the snow and freezing rain combined is miserable. I just have freezing rain and a dusting. We are only getting a couple of inches, but Wausau is getting hit hard too. Minneapolis Peeps, how are you holding up?
