I'm using my indoor Nuwave grill to make hamburgers and hot dogs. Also corn on the cob and baked beans. Tomorrow might be leftovers depending on how many people eat tonight.
I'm trying to find a wider selection of veggies to make than the basics. We do corn, green beans, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and brussel sprouts plus potatoes. Mom like spinach and so do I but nobody else does. We eat tomatoes and cucumbers fresh. I'm running out of ideas lol.

I was going to shovel out the driveway and the walkway to the house. I got one shovelful-and turned around and fired up the snow thrower.
That stuff is really heavy! It's seriously only around 4 inches, but even the weather forecasters were telling people to clear the snow now, because it's going to get really cold tonight, and the snow will turn into a block of ice. I'm guessing a lot of people who didn't dig themselves out today will be having issues tomorrow morning.

Just back from a nice weekend getaway. Although it was too cold to go horseback riding, so maybe next time.

Good evening, Peeps.
(((hugs))) dinky. I'm sorry you didn't have a mother whose loss you could truly mourn. I hope you have peace.
Well, Thomas Wolfe wrote You Can Never Go Home Again, and although it wasn't exactly home, I wish I hadn't gone today. My dad designed and built his dream home here near Portland. Although I visited, it was never my home. My dad took exceptional care of that house and built it very, very well. It was beautiful. Well, the people who own it now have turned it into a dump. Trash everywhere and full of dirty stuff (on the outside). I am heartbroken for that house and the grounds as it was so loved and is now so disrespected. I'm sorry I went.
Tomorrow we will visit the cemetery where Mom and Dad are buried and then we will meander to Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River gorge. No idea where we will stay tomorrow night but after that will be the family reunion and Uncle's memorial service.
Sorry for everyone who is experiencing unpleasant weather. Hope you are all warm and comfortable and that conditions get more seasonable soon!

Hugs Kina, My dad built the “dream” house just south of Portland. Views of the Oregon City Falls and Mt Hood. I’ve revisited it since his death and our move out of it. It was not the house of my memories..... a 2 bedroom with daylight basement on 1/2 acre... became a home to 7 boys. After 2 visits, I never returned. Hugs. Hurts to see dreams turned into less than they were meant to be.

I know my husband likes to drive past where he grew up and where I grew up, but I don't want to go after the last few times.

Same general area, dinky! south of Oregon City in Beavercreek. Willamette. Just across the river. Best memories of my life. Small town. Fringe of the farming community.
