You must fill in all of the bolded sections on your application. Other sections are recommended, but not necessary. You can also reorganize the application if you would find reordering it more logical. The key is accessibility of information, though, and not making it look unique or pretty, or outlining absolutely every interest they've ever had and the way they'd react to every situation in existence. Remember that you can update or edit your profile later on - whenever you want, actually (although if you change anything major, e.g. important points in their history, an entirely re-tooled personality, new demographics, etc, let an admin know). Also keep in mind that if you're mostly-sure of your application but have a few reservations or uncertainties - what house should the be in? Do they really need this special ability? - you can post it in the WIP forum asking for help or crit. Application / Profile Form Full name: Nicknames: Age: Gender: Ethnicity/ race/ ancestry: Blood status: Pure, half (including 1/4, 3/4, etc), muggleborn (magic with 2 muggle parents), unknown, mixed (i.e. partially nonhuman), nonhuman -- include nonhuman specie if applicable! -- most of Native descent just call themselves "half" because it's easier Magitype: Muggle, Witch/Wizard/Mage, Squib (non-magic with magic parents), Nonhuman Sexuality: Other demographics: {anything you feel fitting; neurotypy, trans status, religion, etc} Special abilities: mandatory if you have any special ability (you might want to outline any species-related abilities for quick reference as well) Occupation: Student, teacher, librarian, storekeeper, etc House/ class taught/ specific job: Quick ref. appearance: e.g. eye, hair and skin colour, body shape, clothing style Appearance: A more in-depth appearance, try to make sure we all know what your character looks like - this can be supplemented with, but not replaced by, a picture. Describe things like their build, facial structure, posture, clothing preferences, any noticeable tattoos or scars or skin conditions, common fidgets, etc. Quick ref. personality: the barest-bones, tl;dr version if the section is long Personality: Let us know your character's interests, skills, goals, fears, general demeanour, how they act towards friends, how they deal with scary situations, etc. You don't have to detail every thought and opinion they'll ever have in any situation, but we need to know what's up with them, in general. Quick ref. history: tl;dr version History: How your character has spent their life. If they're a young student with a relatively normal life, this doesn't need to be particularly long - but maybe they went on an exciting vacation or were in a school play? Older characters of course should have a longer backstory. If you're applying as a character with a special ability, nonhuman ancestry, or who has a relatively coveted position (e.g. teachers), they should have a standout backstory. Trivia! Boggart (worst fear materialized)? Wand specs (core, wood, length, flexibility)? Patronus (animal representation of something that makes them feel safe)? Do they play Quidditch (what position)? Speak a lot of languages (which ones)? Their favourite animal/ colour/ band? Are they always singing Muggle musical theatre tunes? Have frequent existential crises? Anything you like can go here.
