Charon entered the Unicorn’s Paw completely covered by a cloak to block himself from the sun. Thankfully cloaks weren’t uncommon wear in the Unicorn’s Paw, but still he’s minions were making him risk his health journeying outside in the middle of the afternoon. Apparently, a lot of warriors had been snooping around at night, but still Charon detested the sun. However, facing the sun was a bit better than having his plans foiled by some nosy do-gooders. He had come too far and made too many sacrifices to let that happen. The tavern-goers acknowledged him when he walked in, but that was it. Without interruption the dhampire made his way to a corner table in the back. A few minutes later the waitress came by, she couldn’t be much older than eighteen or so, Grimn would be happy. “Are you expecting anyone? “ she asked “A few” Charon said “All right, can a get you a drink?” she asked “Red wine.” “All right. I’ll be right back.” The waitress left, leaving Charon to wait on his minions. Edited by LeopardWriting, Jan 31 2013, 11:40 PM.

Grimn stepped through the staff door leading into the pub's floor. He didn't even bother to scan the room for his master. Grimn knew he was here since Muginn had notified him as soon as Chernobog turned down the street to the pub. He quickly uncorked one of his finer wines and poured it into a crystalline wine glass. Carrying the glass and bottle on a waiter's tray, he casually sauntered over to the corner table. Pausing here and there to chat to the various disgusting alcoholics who enjoyed visiting The Unicorn's Paw in the usual mock curtsy before reaching his master. The corner table was screened by a half wall and ivy in hanging pots, and had a very strong ward that prevents any sound to reach the rest of the pub's guests. So far he managed to talk the very naive and very curvy waitress into believing the phenomena was due to the latest architectural technology; he could not afford another disappearance of his employees. F*cking cops! Full tray still in hand he bowed grandly and spoke proudly, "A pleasure to see our Lord and Master doing so well! May your power and nobility forever live on." He held the bow waiting for Chernobog's permission to rise. Edited by Kikkatar, Jan 31 2013, 09:29 PM.

Thankfully Charon didn’t have to wait long since Grimn owned the place and his informant sauntered over with wine and bowed (as he should). “At ease and take a seat,” Charon said, “We have to talk strategy that troublesome brother of yours always keeps the damn warriors one step ahead of us. We need a spy, any ideas? ” Charon sat back in his chair arms crossed as he waited for Grimn to respond. Edited by LeopardWriting, Feb 13 2013, 11:43 PM.

Grimn frowned. He had Muginn stake out both the Preserve and the Academy, but no easily-turned prospects remained. There was one hope however. "Master, I'm afraid none there can be persuaded without great risk to your plan." Then he smiled smiled broadly and grandly spread his arms to indicate the magnitude of his next words, "But there is good news Master! The old Ruby magic teacher is retiring and they'll be looking for a replacement soon!" |

"Excellent, all we have to do is get one of our members that are lesser known, besides me of course, to take that position and slowly destroy that damned academy from the inside." Charon said. Choosing Grimn as an informant had been one of his best decisions Charon ever made. With him as his ally and a spy on the inside it was only a matter of time before his greatest adversary fell and then he could rule both worlds and free all his monster kin. “Do you have anyone in mind who can take that position?” Charon asked. |

Grimn was opening his mouth to speak when a feminine high-pitched voice spoke, "I have someone if you wouldn't mind Sir Chernobog." Grimn started and glared angrily at a white-haired young woman dressed in very unfashionable clothing had appeared in the booth right next to Grimn. "Did you have to do that you damn shorty!" he snapped in a very undignified manner, "When the hell did you come in!?" Rin completely ignored Grimn's fury. She enjoyed being able to surprise the pompous informative. She decided to answer Chernobog directly to make him squeal a bit longer, "I arrived here shortly before you Sir. And as I was saying one of my subordinates is a Ruby warrior. He could be suitable for the job after he finishes his last bit of training." Edited by Kikkatar, Feb 16 2013, 10:57 PM.
