Howdy folks. I've got a bit of a serious matter to talk to you about, so bear with me here. I won't drag this out longer than it needs to be. It has come to my attention that there has been a great deal of harassment and animosity going on behind closed doors among some of our members. So let me make this perfectly clear. Just because it's not taking place out in the open and instead in third-party messenger programs or through PMs, does not mean that it will fly. MEU is a close-knit community, and because of this, bullshit circulates and stinks up the place faster than a clogged toilet in a poorly-ventilated bathroom. Targeting individuals and starting 'hate groups' will not be tolerated. Individuals found to be doing this will receive disciplinary actions that can and will lead up to permanent bans. This isn't Disney World. And I'm not Mickey Mouse. If you fuck with my community and friends, you're gone. I don't care who you are. Of course, I don't expect everyone to get along all the time. But keep that shit to yourselves. Gossip, slander, and all that ugly bullshit belongs in grade school and not in our community. You are all adults here, I expect you to act like it. On a somewhat related note - MEU staff takes time out of each and every day to keep this site running smoothly for you to enjoy. The staff strives to keep our boards a fun sanctuary for like-minded people to come together and enjoy the things we all have in common - Roleplay and Mass Effect. Make no mistake, it is work for us, and most of the times it is not fun. Most of the time it is thankless. Our duties to the site often cause us to neglect our own roleplays and characters. The staff is presented with hard decisions everyday. Often we have to give the answers that people may not want to hear, but it is not because we dislike that person or want to hold them back; it is because we're upholding the rules that we have in place as best we can to keep MEU running smoothly. If a staff member tells you 'no', or asks you to stop disruptive behavior, they are not 'harassing' you; they are not singling you out to be a meanie-head, they are simply doing their duty to uphold the quality of the site. We're fairly lenient folk. We don't ask much of our members. If you use your common sense and treat your fellow members like the people that they are, we won't have any trouble. This is not something that is up for discussion, therefore this thread is locked. Chances are, if you feel the need to argue this point? You are part of the problem, and you should seriously consider cutting this shit out, or finding somewhere else to RP because this place is not for you. Otherwise, you will be removed, and you won't be welcomed back. Thanks for taking the time to read this dudes. I sincerely hope that we won't have to ever readdress this point. And to all of those that this post doesn't apply to? Keep on keepin' on <3 |
