With the Reaper War raging around the galaxy, Battlespace remains live and online to bring you up-to-the minute updates as events happen. As Alliance News Network's premiere programming following the war, it is our honor to bring the people information they desperately desire. Information that gives them hope...something to look forward to despite all that is wrought around them. We here at Battlespace can safely say that there is hope at the end of a rather long, dark tunnel. It is hope nonetheless.

Sources at CNN and elsewhere have shown us promising news. Despite the war raging on the Council race homeworlds, Kahje, the hanar homeworld, has managed in a surprising display to remove the Reaper threat from its borders. With the bulk of the invasion forces routed and the remaining pockets of resistance are being mopped up, it is one step closer to victory and possible aid to be offered by both the hanar and resident drell via The Compact.

Surprisingly enough, Tuchanka, the krogan homeworld, is on the verge of removing the Reaper threat from its surface through the combined forces of the Imperial Army and independent clans. While no formal alliances have been drafted, they share a common enemy and seek the Reapers' destruction in its entirety. After some interesting and bold political ploys by the Turian Hierarchy to circumvent the DMZ that surrounds Tuchanka in order to allow for Imperial forces from Virmire to arrive unmolested and eliminate the Reaper threat to their planet. In return, the Hierarchy wants the krogan to assist with the retaking of Palaven. Rumors are circulating that the Krogan Empire has only agreed to such terms if the Genophage is cured. Again, unconfirmed by our sources, but we strongly believe that to be true.

Most of all...hope for Earth. Despite the shady past and misgivings that the organization is known for, it is difficult to not look a gift horse in the mouth. The pro-human organization labeled a terrorist group by Council space, Cerberus, has made an interesting and unorthodox move. CNN stated that Cerberus openly approached and contacted the Quarian Federation's Admiralty Board seeking assistance and aid for Earth. As dire as things are, it comes as no surprise that the organization would seek help for humanity even through the form of non-humans. In exchange for their loose arrangements with Cerberus, the Migrant Fleet was retrofitted with up-to-date military hardware, giving the quarians more of a chance to hold their own against the Reaper threat. With the Quarian Federation fortunate enough to not be affected by the war, the offer of aid will not be refuted.

We here at Battlespace are certain that the idea of Cerberus assisting, employing the help of aliens of all things, is most unorthodox...but desperate times call for desperate measures. With what seems like the end of days upon us even with hope at the end of that proverbial tunnel shining brightly, there is still a long way to go.

This has been Battlespace, keeping you up-to-date, signing off.

Howdy, howdy everyone. This is your local Biscuit keeping you up-to-date on everything.

First and foremost, allow me to congratulate each and every one of you on your progress and participation thus far in the campaign against the Reapers. Without you guys, all of you, there is no MEU. The community makes it what it is, as it should be. The galaxy is shaped by the players within it rather than staff playing puppetmaster. We provide the scenario, but it is members that provide the solutions.

In any case, with that being said, there is some interesting happenings going on this month...well, week IC, but I digress. With the Reapers having made themselves at home and content with wreaking wanton destruction on that we hold dear across the galaxy, things are looking rather bleak. Morale is low and casualties high. However...there is promising news. As we are all aware, Kahje, thanks to the wonderful leadership of FieryBiotic, has organized an effective resistance and rid the Drell and Hanar of the Destroyer-Class Reaper that was giving them problems. Way to go guys.

Secondly, I wish to remain humble, but Tuchanka is fairing well as well. With clan Kolvant organized and ready to strike back against the Reapers alongside the Imperial Army, the krogan are set to follow in Kahje's footsteps in the near future...if all goes according to plan, of course. Surprises can happen and we all are not fond of surprises.

What is developing interestingly enough this time around though is making for a very interesting scenario. Those of you that are not aware by THIS CNN Post and the the others before it hinting at the possibility released by both CNN and Cerberus, the Quarian Federation and Cerberus have been in negotiations on coming up with a plan to safely evacuate as many civilians from Earth as possible. I am sure everyone has their assumptions and speculations they can make about it, but that is all they are: Speculation. This plot has been in the works for a few weeks now and we are ready to implement it into the timeline to get things rolling along with it.

That being said, I am sure the Alliance holds a grudge to Cerberus, of course the do, but Cerberus has been in contact with both the Quarian Federation and Alliance forces both on the ground and in or near the Sol System informing them of this plan. Again, the Alliance IS aware and is cooperating under the circumstances. Cerberus and the Alliance share a common goal: Protecting civilians and getting them to safety. Sign-ups have begun for this plot for all the participating factions in Plot Development HERE.

With the introduction of this plot, we are advancing the timeline forward 2 Weeks IC, meaning that the date for the Quarian/Cerberus Operation will be taking place on 3.31.2201. Keep this in mind for all upcoming plots as the war is now 2 weeks deep and similar skips in time in the near future will be by this amount or greater just as a head's up.

Also, one more bit of information for those of you confused or unsure as to what the rules are pertaining to the use of Reapers in plots and/or destruction of them. Given that the galaxy is successfully holding for the time being and possibly working towards striking back with the events of Kahje and Tuchanka working so well, there is a small amendment to Reapers. Destroyer-Class Reapers are amongst the more common variants and it would make sense to be able to take these down. Plots involving them CAN destroy them, but only if a sufficient/logical/believable amount of firepower is used against them. No magic supergun with one shot unless it's something like a point-blank dreadnaught round.

Reaper ships larger than Destroyer-Class, such as Sovereign-Class, CAN be targeted and possibly eliminated, but only on the condition that whomever is running the operation/thread in which it is going to take place PMs staff describing the overall thread and how the Reaper is supposed to bite the dust. Sovereign Class Reapers can only be destroyed with staff approval. Keep in mind that they are still quite powerful and there are many of them, don't press your luck.
