I've got a couple things to bring to your attention today, and I'll try to keep it short so you can go right back to enjoying your RPs and all that fun stuff! Firstly, I'm sure most of you are familiar with MEU's 'Fornax' section (or 'The Subforum Formerly Known as Dark Space'). I know how you must gaze upon it longingly and wish that you had that coveted password so that you could perv it up with the best of 'em. Or if you're ~~depraved~~ lucky enough to already have access, I know how much you enjoy ~~humping ALL THE PEOPLE~~ your threads there, huhuhu! Anyway, Fornax has been a part of the site for a few years now. Yar thinks it was implemented in '09 or '10, and since then it's always been password protected. The problem with this, however, is there's no way for us as staff to reliably police it. We don't want any under-agers in there (sorry guys! plenty of ~~wank material~~ quality reading elsewhere) and we can't exactly force people not to sneakily give the password out to their friends, etc. To remedy this we made Fornax a usergroup now. There's no more password nonsense. If you're a part of the group, you'll automatically be able to see the subforum and its Archives. All of your friendly Admins and Mods have the ability to add you to the group, provided you're 18+ and have reason to be there. Keep in mind that we don't grant permission just so you can browse, you may request permission when you have an actual thread that needs to be there by PMing a staffer. All of the old rules still apply. If you previously had access, you should have been invited to the group, if not, I must have missed ya. Just PM me and I'll get you added. Moving on! We are implementing two new rules that in all likelihood don't apply to you personally: The use of proxies is not allowed. If you are discovered using one, you will receive a warning. If you continue doing so, you will be perma-banned. There are very, very few reasons for a normal, non-malicious user to be using one. This applies to the forum and cbox. This really goes without saying, but your account is your own. Sharing with another person, or allowing them to log on your name for any reason is not allowed. There's no reason to do so when they can easily create or use their own account. And that's that folks!
