Bet you can't get this one! (Andre and Mr.Williams, you know the answer, don't cheat)
There is a room with light bulb inside it. There is a door connecting this room to a hall way. There are three switches in the hallway. There is no way to see anything from inside the doorway without opening the door. The door is magical. When you touch the door or doorknob, you are magically sucked in and the door locks behind you, without any way to get out. Once inside, you may examine the light bulb in any way you wish. Right now you are in the hall way. The switches are named A, B, and C. Do whatever you want with the switches, then go into the room. Remember, assume this is real life (except for the magical door), you can do anything you would normally be able to do in real life. If you're still stumped, there is a hint at the bottom. I'll post the answer later. -------------- ---------------------------- ------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HINT: Remember, lightbulbs don't only give off light energy. ?:-( ?:-( |

I would assume you are trying to figure out which switch is the correct one. Here is your answer: Don't touch switch A. Leave switch B on for about 5 minutes, then turn it off. Turn on switch C and do not turn it off. Now go into the room. If the lightbulb is on, it's switch C, If the lightbulb is off but warm to the touch, it's switch B. If the lightbulb is off and not warm, it's switch A. |
