In the beginning.....there was empty set. On the first day, Math said - Let there be numbers, and there was numbers. On the second day, Math said - On the third day, Math said - Let there be fractions, and there were fractions. On the fourth day, Math said - Let there be Pi, and there was 3.141592...... On the fifth day, Math said - Let there be a plane, and Euclidean Geometry came into existence. On the sixth day, Math said - Let there be wrong numbers, and there were rong numbers. On the seventh day, Math's head hurt, so he rested. And on the Eighth day, Math said - Let there be imaginary numbers, and there were imaginary numbers. |

I was thinking more along the lines of: In the beginning, there was the empty set. On the first day, Math said - Let there be integers, and there were the integers. On the second day, Math said - Let there be a plane, and Euclidean Geometry came into existence. On the third day, Math said - Let there be...... Etc. |

How about: On the eighth day Math slept, and he dreamed of imaginary numbers. |

On the ninth day, he was getting weary so he created the little guys with the bow ties who lock themselves in rooms for months at a time just to solve one problem. |

Maybe: On the seventh day, Math's head hurt, so he made mathematicians to do his work for him, and then Math slept. |

On the eighth day, Math gave the bowtied midgets the assignment of creating a new frame for the math system. Something went wrong and they had to store their mistakes in what are now known as "fuzzy math books" |

You make it a BIBLE of Math instead of a TORAH of Math?!?! I feel gravely insulted. |

That is such a steryotipical remark, that for some reason, has started being used this year. How can 'Asians' all be classified under the same criteria?! I mean, you don't go around saying, "Oh, but he's/she's European, so it's ok" or anything like that, no, but you do say, "Oh, but she's/he's Asian, so it's ok", and such. Not all 'Asians' are the same, and all 'Asians' are most certainly not all of the same faith. There can be Muslim 'Asians', Christian 'Asians', Hindu 'Asians', any 'Asian' can be any religion they gosh darn want to be!! And what really ticks me off is when people assume that 'Asians' are so much smarter than everyone else. I don't know about you, but I have seen non-GT 'Asians'. And Einstein wasn't 'Asian'! Or Newton! Or Galileo! Or Mendeleev! Or Mendel! Or Watt! Or Morse! Or the Curies! Or Lavoisier! Or a lot of other geniuses throughout history. |
