:D Someone says they are lying, but they aren't. Are they lying, or telling the truth? ?:-(

If you look at it another way, it's an obvious lie. Someone says, "they are lying, but they aren't," it's a contradiction in itself. Thus it cannot be true, thus the speaker is lying, because the subject of the quote cannot be both lying and telling truths at the same time, it is a physical impossibility. (I mean this as such: Some guy says, "they are lying, but they aren't" about a different chum of his, so he is lying because that person cannot be saying lies and truths at the same time, it's impossible. Try it yourself, say: 'I am stupid', and 'I am smart' at the same time. You can't.)

Now I realize that this is not how y'all percieved it, I just felt like bringing up another argument. Of course it is undeterminable, because they are lying since they say they are, but aren't. But since they are, and they say they are, they aren't. Quite simple, really.

"I am a liar!"

If the person is lying, then that statement must be false. Thus, the must not be lying, a contradiction. If the person is telling the truth, they must be lying, which is a contradiction. It is solvable, however. The solution is that it is undecidable.

Since it's already been solved, why is the topic still up?

No, Andre is a he. Because Andre feels like it. Because he feels like it.
