So far I've seen quite a few mistakes with BBCode. First, BBCode is what the forums use to make text bold, italic, colored, larger, smaller, etc. It's also safer than using HTML (I've actually made it impossible for anyone except an Administrator to post HTML). To make text bold: There are tyo ways you can do this. The first way, just click on the button labeled B (Bold). Then type your text in, and when you are done click 'B' again. It will look like
Alternatively, just type out all your text first and highlight the section you want bolded, click 'B' and you're done. To make text italic: Do the exact same thing that you did to make text bold, just this time use the 'I' (Italic) button in place of 'B'. To underline text: Do the exact same thing that you did to make text bold, just this time use the 'U' (Underline) button in place of 'B'. To change font, color, or the size of writing: Type out all your text first, then highlight the text you want changed. Select the apropriate option from the drop down menu and you're done. To insert a hyperlink: Click on the button labeled "http://", first enter the website address and then enter the text you want disply that you click on the link in the next dialog box to pop up. To insert an image: Host an image on a site such as Imageshack, and get the link to the image after you upload it. Now click on the "IMG" button and paste the site link into the form. |
