May 21st 10:00 AM This...shopping mall place, it was so odd. It was similar to Iwatadoi's equivalent in so many ways, but then again, it wasn't. The book store, for instance, the place she was in right then. It held so many different books compared to the one that was in Iwatadoi; there were things on so many different subjects. Machines, robotics, technology...of course, all three of those were related to her in some way. She stopped browsing through those books and began looking through some of the other ones; humans were really strange. "101 ways to say I love you"? Really? Aigis eyed the book doubtfully; what kind of people would need something like that? She did not want to think about it; why couldn't they just follow their heart? Or its equivalent, in her case; she wasn't sure if she had a heart or not. She knew she felt though, and she knew that what she felt for Minato was beyond simple friendship. Was it, as the humans seemed to call it, love? She wasn't sure...she knew that love couldn't be described by many, and when it was described, people often couldn't describe it well; she stared at the book for a moment before she moved on. Ah, she came upon a book about shadows. Wait, what? Shadows? Frowning, Aigis opened the book just a tad, and almost laughed at her silliness; it wasn't an actual book on shadows as she knew them, just the normal, human kind of shadows. Then again, she wouldn't doubt a book about the shadows in this town existing; true, only Persona users were likely to survive an encounter with one of them, but that didn't mean a Persona User would keep quiet about it either. They could easily leave out certain details, such as the whole summoning a Persona deal, and be perfectly fine with it. She closed the book and glanced up; the shopkeeper was glaring at her just a little bit, probably irritated that she was "just browsing". The blonde offered him a small smile before turning back to the books, her blue dress swishing just a little bit. What to get? What to read? She was unsure. If only a lover, a true lover, of books was there to help her, to advise her. Knowing her luck though, no such person would come just walking in, so she began the process of picking and choosing which of the books she wanted to read, and which she did not. Elizabeth was absolutely right, of course; unless they came up with another way of doing this, of handling it, they would not be able to release Minato. Aigis frowned, wondering why it was that no one could change like she had; she knew she had taken great strides forward, and that she still had strides to take. But she didn't know where she was going to end up...was that it? Did fear of the unknown stop people from changing? From what she had learned, and from what she had experienced with Minato, people did not like change at all. They preferred their ordinary lives, staying as they were forever; there were exceptions, of course, but the former camp were far more prevalent than the latter. And it didn't seem like Elizabeth could help either, not if she truly did only have one Persona left; Aigis briefly flicked her eyes in the direction Elizabeth had looked in before returning her gaze to the silver-haired woman. "I...am not sure. I shall stay in Inaba, and try to figure out what is causing these Shadows to appear, if it is not Tartarus, then my duty will be to put a stop to it. If it is Tartarus' influence..." she didn't finish that; they both knew that if it was Tartarus' influence, they would have to go through with what Elizabeth had suggested a moment ago, permanent limbo. "I hope to obtain this box that's been stolen, and it is apparently here in Inaba. I didn't come with anyone, but I know that Akihiko and Mitsuru are here." Aigis said. She realized the names might be foreign to Elizabeth, as Aigis was unsure if they had ever met or not, but she had asked, and so, Aigis had answered. What now would the two oddities do? |

Elizabeth shook her head, amused. "This is completely unrelated to Tartarus and its occupants," she stated cheerfully. "I am very sure. The main reason for that is because the tower no longer exists. It existed for once reason only - an edifice for Nyx to proceed with her deliverance." Elizabeth thought for a while. "However..should Nyx return..there is no telling what changes will be wrought. The Dark Hour may return as well. They are very unpredictable.." She recalled marveling at the group as they ascended the tower quickly, not one showing fatigue. Well, that goes to show just how much humans wanted to live, how very badly they wanted something and how they could and would do anything to accomplish their goal. New spawned creatures with strength greater then anything they've faced so far, but the group got past all challenges to reach the top and face Nyx. And from thereafter, Elizabeth knew little. All she knew was that Minato sealed away the mother of the night. "Box?" Elizabeth inquired curiously. "A box has been stolen? Is it related to Tartarus?" she asked sharply. She still had the documents Minato gave her, all hidden within the pages of her book. Try as she might to pore over them, nothing useful could be gained from them - they were only about the Shadows after all. |

Aigis didn't know how Elizabeth could be so...sure about her assumptions. What if they had it all wrong? What if Tartarus was still in existence, in some form, somewhere out there, and its influence had spread to Inaba? Aigis then realized something. Minato...he wouldn't want his friends assuming the worst, would he? He'd want them to look on the brighter side of life, to think positively about things; she kept that in mind as she continued to listen to the former occupant of the Velvet Room. "How can we be sure the Dark Hour isn't present in this city as well? Since Shadows are here, it's possible that the Dark Hour is here as well," Aigis pointed out; but if Tartarus wasn't causing these Shadows, what was causing them? It was disturbing to think that there were more things out there that could cause creatures like Shadows to come about; if it wasn't Tartarus, what would be required to stop the Shadows this time? Another sacrifice? "I don't know if the box is related to Tartarus," Aigis said, frowning a little as she conversed with Elizabeth; her tone had seemed a tad...sharp, just a moment ago. Why had she gotten so urgent about it? "I know that it was taken from the Kirijo family, Mitsuru's family, and brought here. No one knows what's in it, so I was hoping to find it and use it, somehow...it has to be important if it was stolen from Mitsuru." Aigis reasoned. True, her beliefs had many flaws, such as the fact that no one was sure what was inside the box, but that hardly mattered to the robot girl. It was a chance, albeit a small one, of seeing Minato free from his bonds while keeping the seal intact. In truth, Aigis was probably just hopelessly clinging to the belief that she could save Minato somehow. |

"I have already spent a night in this lovely and wondrous hoard of incredible treasure's of life," Elizabeth smiled. "There was not a trace of the usual signs of the Dark Hour, nor was there a single transmogrified human in sight." It was true, she had been rather expected the Dark Hour due to the shadows. Sleepy and desiring nothing more then to drift off in the heavenly soft bed of the Amagi Inn, she had been rather disappointed that she forced herself to stay up for nothing. "A family box? It appears inconsequential," Elizabeth sighed. Not a trace of Tartarus or anything to do with the Shadows were left back in Iwatodai, and she had came here expecting a lot. So far, she had found a lot - just nothing to do with the Shadows still. Her eyes shone with the luster of adventure and discovery - such wonders did the human world have! For instance, they had this slot machine from which one could derive a great pleasure after donating some coins. It drew a fine line between joy and disappointment, although Elizabeth had only derived from the latter so far. "There is naught to do but to follow this box of antiquity, it seems," Elizabeth frowned. |

So, it seemed that there truly were no leads at all. If Elizabeth was telling the truth, and Aigis had no reason to doubt her, then it seemed that Tartarus was in no way connected to this place; how did that explain the Shadows? What was causing them to show up in Inaba, of all places? She frowned, wondering; had something like this happened in the past? Or was it recent? That was certainly something she was going to have to check, later, after she had parted ways with Elizabeth. As happy as Aigis was to see the woman, it was inevitable that they would have to leave each other's company. "It might seem inconsequential, but...I have a feeling. Besides, it's the only lead, even if it is a bit of a long shot," Aigis agreed, frowning as well; there was truly nothing the two of them could do. They had helped save the world once, the both of them, and now they couldn't even figure out what it was that was causing the fog in Inaba; frustrating. So very frustrating. "I wish there was more we could do, but for now, it seems the best that we can do is chase after this box...maybe see if the others would be willing to help us." Aigis said. Strength in numbers, after all; they had proved that adage in Iwatadoi, even if Elizabeth hadn't directly been present during the battle with Nyx, she had helped. |

"And so commences the hunt," Elizabeth said cheerfully as she carefully spun a card bearing her Arcana. So far, she had yet to fight - no Shadows had bothered to even approach her on their own..perhaps they were not capable of entering inns? My, had humans that ingenuity? Perhaps that explained the magnificent patterns upon the doors of the Amaga Inn, or mayhaps the flowers around had something to do with it? She had heard, afterall that garlic deterred vampires from humans. Hmm. Perhaps she should find out what flowers were placed in the inn and place one in her pocket. And commission a personal little tablet bearing the patterns of the inn. A Shadow repellent would certainly ease humans' already large repertoire of worries and distresses. "Indeed. However, your friends have yet to become associated with me, I believe. I doubt either you or Minato have told them about me and the Velvet Room..don't they wonder where the two of you receive your wide array of Personaes?" Elizabeth said, amused. The card faded, and she shook her head. "No matter. For now, I think I will continue my excursions around town. There are still many places that I have not visited. In fact, I have heard of a specific shop that sold 'killer' food. Would that not be great aid in your fights? Food that murders...it reminds me of the takoyaki so luscious that your cheeks were to drop back in Iwatodai," Elizabeth frowned. She had felt rather cheated when nothing off interest happened, except maybe a slightly burnt tongue. Perhaps one needed to be human to experience this "jaw dropping" experience. Elizabeth giggled. |

Aigis found herself nodding just a little bit to Elizabeth; now that she thought about it, neither her nor Minato had ever told their friends about Elizabeth, or the Velvet Room. Or Igor, for that matter. Why? What possessed them to not tell their friends? Was it due to the mysterious nature of the Velvet Room itself? Or was it because Aigis got the feeling that Igor would not like a bunch of people intruding on him. Actually...if she remembered right, one of her friends, or possibly Minato herself, had said that Minato had tried to tell them about the Velvet Room the first time its door appeared in Tartarus, but they hadn't believed him because they couldn't see it. Perhaps both she and Minato kept quiet about it because they did not want to be seen as damaged, in a way, by their only friends; Aigis especially. She wouldn't want to lose her friends over being unable to keep the Velvet Room and all it contained a secret. "Elizabeth...I am aware I shouldn't be surprised by you not understanding this world, but I think killer food is slang. As in, it's very good food...not food that kills you. I wonder why people came up with a term like that though," Aigis informed her companion. Oh dear...if Inaba had to suffer Elizabeth by herself, unsupervised, Aigis wasn't sure if the city could survive it. Elizabeth seemed a force unto herself whenever she got curious about something, which...seemed to happen quite often. "Might I suggest we stay near each other during our stay in the city? We wouldn't want anything happening, after all." Aigis added, though she didn't say what she was really feeling, that Elizabeth would draw attention from numerous places. Likely the police. Not many people had her features, after all; silver hair and golden eyes. Not to mention the outfit she wore; suffice it to say, it really stood out. |

Elizabeth felt disappointed again. What was with human and their strange language within words? She placed a hand under her chin, thinking what she was to do now - she had quite lost her mood to eat. Her interest in the human world had not waned in the very slightest, though. If only Minato was still here. She would ask him to take her around town as he did once, and fetch a myriad of objects which she had overheard in conversations around town. Trying not to think about the time when she asked him to take her to his room, she noticed a little piece on the Jabberwocky. He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought-- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought. She wondered if Minato was conscious. Although he had thrown away his life for the seal, it didn't mean his mind left him as well. How else was he to return to his body when they freed him of the seal after all. "Hmm? Oh, yes. I would like you to be aware that I probably will stray to pay a visit to places I find..intriguing," Elizabeth nodded. Like the food store, she supposed it wouldn't be much harm to take a look afterall. |

Well she couldn't say she was surprised by how Elizabeth responded; as she had already told herself, that girl seemed a force unto herself whenever she became curious about something. Hapless passer-bys would be wise to move out of her way whenever she was rushing towards something she wanted to investigate. In many respects, Elizabeth was so very similar to her, wasn't she? They both had learned things from Minato, albeit in different ways; Aigis doubted that she would have survived as long as she had if she had the naivete that Elizabeth seemed to possess, at times. Not to say the girl was stupid, just she could probably use some foresight at times. "I wouldn't expect anything less from you. After all, if you weren't curious, you wouldn't be yourself," Aigis said, offering her...friend, yes friend, a warm smile. How strange to imagine this woman, Elizabeth, as a friend, and really, the only friend she had right now; she had yet to meet any of the other SEES members, and she hadn't made any friends of the local populace, so right then, Elizabeth was her only friend. That prospect might have daunted some people, but not Aigis; to put it really simply, she liked Elizabeth, she liked her perspective on things. "Shall we go, then? So that you can see where you will be staying?" Aigis questioned. The woman likely already had a room at the Amagi Inn, for there was nowhere else for Aigis to stay, but still, it wouldn't hurt. And besides that, the owner of the store was glaring at Aigis, probably because it did not look like she was intending to buy anything. |

Elizabeth was jolted back into reality by Aigis's words, but all that did was to promptly send her into another deep thought. If she wasn't curious..she wasn't herself. Wasn't she. Mayhaps she had gone too far the other month. There was a limit to everything after all, and her there was certainly a limit to knowing things. To the point that she went too far with the new experience she had experienced..not physically but actually emotionally. Perhaps pushing the boundaries of exploring the real world with, for example Aigis wouldn't have turned out so chaotic in the end. The events that occurred remained crystal clear in Elizabeth's mind as though it happened mere minutes ago. Even I am not blind to the significance to calling upon a gentleman in his own room. Clearing her throat in a somewhat nervous manner as her face flushed somewhat, she nodded at Aigis as she marveled at her boldness for asking so and her daring for even asking Minato to bring her to see his room in the first place. "Oh, yes," she said as calmly as she could while she was holding back a deep blush. "If you don't mind - will you lead me? I am still unused to this place.." |
