May 21st 10:00 AM This...shopping mall place, it was so odd. It was similar to Iwatadoi's equivalent in so many ways, but then again, it wasn't. The book store, for instance, the place she was in right then. It held so many different books compared to the one that was in Iwatadoi; there were things on so many different subjects. Machines, robotics, technology...of course, all three of those were related to her in some way. She stopped browsing through those books and began looking through some of the other ones; humans were really strange. "101 ways to say I love you"? Really? Aigis eyed the book doubtfully; what kind of people would need something like that? She did not want to think about it; why couldn't they just follow their heart? Or its equivalent, in her case; she wasn't sure if she had a heart or not. She knew she felt though, and she knew that what she felt for Minato was beyond simple friendship. Was it, as the humans seemed to call it, love? She wasn't sure...she knew that love couldn't be described by many, and when it was described, people often couldn't describe it well; she stared at the book for a moment before she moved on. Ah, she came upon a book about shadows. Wait, what? Shadows? Frowning, Aigis opened the book just a tad, and almost laughed at her silliness; it wasn't an actual book on shadows as she knew them, just the normal, human kind of shadows. Then again, she wouldn't doubt a book about the shadows in this town existing; true, only Persona users were likely to survive an encounter with one of them, but that didn't mean a Persona User would keep quiet about it either. They could easily leave out certain details, such as the whole summoning a Persona deal, and be perfectly fine with it. She closed the book and glanced up; the shopkeeper was glaring at her just a little bit, probably irritated that she was "just browsing". The blonde offered him a small smile before turning back to the books, her blue dress swishing just a little bit. What to get? What to read? She was unsure. If only a lover, a true lover, of books was there to help her, to advise her. Knowing her luck though, no such person would come just walking in, so she began the process of picking and choosing which of the books she wanted to read, and which she did not. The girl, her friend Elizabeth, let her face flush a little, and Aigis couldn't help but be curious by this fact. People usually only did so when they were embarrassed or unable to proclaim they loved someone even if they wanted to say so. She remembered wanting to tell Minato such on numerous occasions, but always, her doubts overtook her wants and she stayed silent. Elizabeth obviously could not be feeling the latter...was she embarrassed about something? But what? Aigis just couldn't figure it out; all she had done was offer to show Elizabeth where they would be staying. Elizabeth...she was a puzzle to figure out on the best of days, and right then, she might as well have been one of those strange cubes called Rubik's Cubes. "Lead you? Of course, Elizabeth. I wouldn't want you getting lost," Aigis said as she decided to take the most direct route of leading Elizabeth, taking the other woman's hand. Giving a small nod to the other female, Aigis began to gently lead her out of the bookstore, out of the mall, and towards their dwelling place. All the while, she was wondering what it was that had prompted Elizabeth to let down her normally composed mask. "Why did you blush, Elizabeth?" she questioned as they departed. (A follow up thread later, maybe? :3) "Lost? Wherever I wander here, I find something never before set upon by these eyes..getting lost is not the problem, but I think my experience here will be more fulfilling and enjoyable with a guide," Elizabeth beamed. Much like when Minato lead her about. On hindsight, the only reason why she set foot in this world was because of him. She probably would never have found the world that interesting if Minato had not came along and shifted her world. Grasping Aigis's hand, Elizabeth held her book with her free hand and walked on alongside the weapon, smiling at the shopkeeper whose eyebrow was twitching at the sight of her. Such changes did Minato inspire in so many different people - the almost two dozen bonds revealed in the making of the one and only Universe ever beheld was proof of that, as well as the echoing voices of his many dear friends. Should they all know that never seeing him again was a large possibility.. "The heat must be starting to affect me," Elizabeth lied serenely as she cast a glance at the sky. So long had it been since she had last felt embarrassed..she couldn't help musing over the fact that she still had the little things Minato had fetched for her upon request, even the Muscle Drink which had been left untouched until now. <Elizabeth, exit stage right ♪> |
