MAY 29TH 6:00 P.M. Yuchi had stepped out of his hotel room to do some late night shopping in the Central shopping district, trudging through the rain with his hood up. As he stepped into the south district, however, he started to notice a strange fog building up all around him. "Huh? Where's all this mist coming from?" He didn't remember seeing fog forming so quickly from his childhood memories of Inaba. He was about to continue on his path when suddenly, he noticed a giant blur in the fog. Curious, but cautious, he took a step back as he squinted into the fog, his eyes focused on the giant hulking figure approaching him. At first, he believed his eyes were deceiving him. Barely visible in the fog, he saw what appeared to be giant, black furred lion, it had 13 tails, demonic wings, a long, flowing mane, and, a most disturbing feature, a human like face. The face was pale, feminine, with dark, empty eyes. It's lips curled to reveal an array teeth. Yuchi recognised this creature. It haunted his memories and dreams. It was the Shadow of his mother. "Y-you," Yuchi stammered. Before he had realized it, a body numbing shudder came over him, his mind now feeling detached from his body. And yet began to grin, a most unnerving grin. His eyes refocused upon the monster, an expression of crazed thrill plastered upon his face. "Yuchi" was gone now. And in his place stood "Zaiaku". "Keheheh. . .I've finally found you. . .You damn monster!" The boy who was now Zaiaku outstretched his hand, and a card appeared, its corner spinning on his palm. He shouted, "Persona!" and proceeded to crush the card in his hand, summoning his Persona, Gemini. The Shadow stepped back into the fog, hiding itself. "Don't you run away from me," Zaiaku shouted, and as if on cue, Gemini lunged after the Shadow, slashing haphazardly into the fog. Sure enough, the Shadow leapt from the dense fog and swatted Gemini into the side of a building. As Gemini was struck and collided with the wall, Zaiaku fell to his knees in pain, and swore under his breath. Gemini pulled itself out of the wall, and continued to swing its nodachi aimlessly, only to be struck again and again by the Shadow, until neither Gemini or Zaiaku could hardly get onto their feet. The Shadow roared with satisfaction, enjoying the futile struggles of its prey. Because Zaiaku could not see through the fog, he could not direct Gemini efficiently. He was fighting a losing battle. |

A short red haired girl walked through the Central shopping district. Her father had encouraged her to get out of the house more in order to socialize with other people and as such that is what she was doing. Despite this though other than a few hellos and thank yous she had not really spoken to anyone. Still the fresh air was a nice despite the rain and change of pace and there were a few interesting shops here and there. She had gone into one of the shops and lost track of time, as such when she exited it was dark. Sighing she puled out her phone to give her father a call to tel him she would be a bit late. After the call with her father ended she made her way to the southern part of the shopping center when an all to familiar mist rose around her. "No..not this." Her heart began to race as she shivered her body cold suddenly as she remembered the last time such a fog had appeared. Taking a step forward she would begin to run when she heard the sound of battle followed by a roar and a curse of pain. "I..I..." She could see it now or at least somewhat, a large shadowy monster lashing out. She raised her hand, her breath steadying and her face calming as her tarot card appeared. "I can't be afraid of my own power anymore..Pale Rider!!!" She punched her card as her Persona appeared, tall and dark upon it's white horse. "Save him" She ordered. With a deathly wail Pale Rider rushed forward it's scythe raised. As it neared the shadow the horse reared up as it lashed out with it's powerful hooves before the scythe came down. Shana stood behind her Persona her eyes narrowed. She was going to fight. |

After now taking a considerable beating, Gemini began to retreat from existance, along with it, Yuchi's "Zaiaku" state, returning him to his normal personality, watching his mothers shadow draw near. As he tried to stand, his "Yuchi" mind finally reconnected with his body, and his nerves exploded in pain all over, causeing him to stagger onto his knees once more. "N-not good," he muttered as he struggled to concentrate on making his tarot card appear once more, his body still screaming in pain. This isn't it, is it? he wondered. Am I gonna be torn up just like. . . Before he came around to finishing that thought, he heard another voice in the fray, followed by a spine tingling wail. Yuchi looked up and stared in disbelief as he watched Pale Rider lunge forward. The lion like shadow had no time to react and was hit with both the horses hooves and the rider's scythe, being knocked back away from Yuchi in the process. It soon got back onto its feet and hid back into te dense screen of fog, cautiously circling the figure, then launching itself forward to lash out with it's monstrous paws. After staring dumbfounded for a moment, he realized the pain in his body had dulled to an ache and got back onto his feet, his hand held out. "C'mon! I need you're help once more, Gemini!" As if finally coaxed out from his plea, Yuchi's tarot card reappeared in his palm. "Persona!!!" As his hand clenched around the card, it shattered into particles of light that drifted into the air, rematerializing in the shape of Gemini's secondary form, now wearing a white coat and mask and it's wings outstreched as it drew it's nodachi. Gemini then glided back towards the fray, dive bombing the shadow lion as it began to lash out from the fog. |

"Defend" Shana caled out the order as the lion like shadow vanished into the mist. The shadowy Persona spun he's scythe as it looked around for the shadow. As the loin shadow lashed out with it's massive paw Pale Rider swung up his scythe the blade blocking the blow though the force behind it managed to push the Persona back a few feet, the sound of the metal horse shoes dragging on the ground could be heard. The shadowy rider stumbled for a second as Shana tok a few steps forward getting closer to the battle. Shana was about to have Pale Rider counter attack when another figure dive bombed the shadow. Even with her martial arts training Shana didn't fell confident enough to have her Persona attack with this fog and not hit the ally, or what she assumed was an ally. Raising an arm she signaled Pale Rider to wait until she could figure out a safe way to attack the shadow without hurting anything else. Even if she was no longer afraid of her power that didn't mean that she had the best of control over it. "Damn this fog...if only there was a way to see through it" |

Violet~ The Promiscuous Hooker / Mother Harlot~ The Sinful Persona
|
Violet swished through what little people present in Junes regally, feeling severely pissed off. Memories of the virtuous hag he met the day before still bothered him, taunts provided by Mother Harlot serving to do nothing than to tick him off more. What did she know about the difficulties of life? Prim, goody two-shoes ninny. A glance at the sky told him that the sun was setting rapidly, casting a lovely red glow over the town of Inaba. Bah. He was dressed in his revealing, provocative outfit. Wearing a shirt with an outrageously low neckline that reached his crotch and loose pants, he headed for the Central Shopping District which, coincidentally was where he met Miyako. He halted in his tracks, half-tempted to turn around and head back to his room. The place was literally deserted. Not a single sound was heard. That was, until he heard a cry. Turning on his heels at once, he was about to sprint back to his motel when he realized a familiar looking fog rolling in like nobody's business. It was as the hag said after all - it came and went. And, surprise, it just came. Closing his eyes as the cold mist swept over him, he opened it to find himself in the wasteland that was Inaba in fog. It was unrecognizable. It was like a ghost town. An open door banged as it swung too and fro eerily, and empty wicker baskets rolled along, blown about by unseen breezes. Violet had more important things on his mind than parlor tricks conjured up by the fog, however. You say I can summon you. Indeed, Mother Harlot smirked. Then get your ass out here and lead me back home. Ohohohohoho! It works not like that, fool. Do you hear? Hear what was what Violet wanted to shoot back impatiently, but he realized there were sounds. Sounds as in loud neighing and galloping, no doubt the demonic creatures called horses. Violet had ridden one (Not in that way, please, he was not interested in animals) once and it had not been a pleasant ride. He walked towards the direction from whence the sound originated very warily. He hadn't walked for very long, and then the mist seemed to part and reveal what looked like a supernatural war before him. A large, slender figure that wielded a long sword engraved with mystical writing was charging at what seemed like a lion shrouded in darkness. The figure had massive wings, black and aiding him in mobility. Close by stood a handsome young man who didn't really look wealthy in any way. The mist rolled against his vision again, and Violet cursed under his breath. He could see the dark silhouette, the outlines of what was more than a dozen tails swishing as it leaped and dodged nimbly. Violet walked forward boldly, nearer to the male until he realized the boy was not the only person there. It was the horse which he had previously seen, and upon it was a figure in a grim reaper's cloak. Mother Harlot gave a low Ah of recognition, and Violet was starting to get second thoughts as he neared the scuffle. Now is the time, Mother Harlot chuckled. "No," Violet grunted out loud. He did not want to be involved in some lord-forsaken battle. He was not going to get himself dragged into some stupid fight. However, he felt himself being drawn forward until he was a little ways behind the girl who seemed to be in control of the horse and the man riding it. Do it. Inhaling deeply as he felt an exhilarating, almost painful surge of energy rush into his hands, Violet raised both to reveal this small, stupid-looking card hovering just above his hands. Hissing as he brought both hands together, utterly crushing the card that seemingly felt like nothing and disappearing, a single tall lady appeared beside him facing behind him. She held with her a large, golden goblet that was emitting smoke. Smirking at the slightly dumbfounded Violet, she turned towards one of the four horseman of the Apocalypse and Violet, although used to it by now shuddered at her completely skeletal face. Raising the cup she held, she spoke as one would to an old acquaintance as the violent battle between the winged figure and the dark lion continued. "Good evening." |

Midori kept her eye on Yuchi, watching as he encountered a shadow that had strayed into the real world. Why did she do this? To see his power, of course. She needed as much information as possible and she felt that she didn't need to take action. Yet. The fog was making it hard to see, but she was far enough not to be seen, but still see. It seemed that his personality changed when he summoned his persona. Is it possible that he has multiple personalities? This was a strange development, and one that she would keep locked up in her memory. She watched the events take place before her eyes, a girl with the persona Pale Rider. She found it strange that they didn't need evokers, like she did. Was it possible that they were a different type of persona? Or was it something else? Yuchi's persona turned out to be Gemeni. She didn't know why they called out their personas whenever they summoned them. Maybe it was more impressive and cooler to shout out your persona, sort of like when people call out their attacks. Then, another boy entered the scene and yet again, he summoned another persona, and yet again, there was no evoker, only a card. So many persona users, in this town alone. Back in Tatsumi Port Island, she knew only of SEES and Strega being persona users. But here, it seemed as if everyone had a persona. Just what the heck was going on here? Why were there so many persona users in one place? Midori continued to watch from a safe distance, barely able to see them through the fog. What other events will unfurl before her? Only time could tell. |

The shadow, seeing Gemini approach in it's dive-bomb attack, skillfully leapt to the side, evading the assault and hiding itself in a veil of fog. Having missed its target, Gemini pumped its wings to bring its course of flight to a halt, lest it would have barreled into a nearby shop. "Cr-crap! That was too close!!" Yuchi exclaimed, gesturing desperately for his Persona to withdraw back into the air before causing more damage to the surroundings. However, as Gemini attempted to do so, the shadow lion leapt at it, swiping with its claws. Gemini, in one furious pump of his wings, managed to escape back into the air, yet endured a severe gash in its side. In response, more pain burst through Yuchi, in the same location Gemini was harmed, making him stagger. "Owwowow" Yuchi whimpered. He racked his brain for some sort of strategy. It was clear that the shadow was using the fog to its own advantage, first hiding, then attacking, jumping from one target to the other. And while Yuchi could use more of Gemini's techniques and maneuvers, he considered the potential damage it could cause without him being able to clearly see his opponent. Then he had a thought. With this other Persona fighting as well, would it be possible to surround the shadow and then strike at the same time from both sides? He searched for the other Persona user fighting with him, yet the fog obstructed his view, so he shouted, "HEY!! WHOEVER ELSE IS THERE!! LET'S FLANK IT FROM BOTH SIDES!!!" The Flanking Attack, where two or more units would attack from either side of the opposing force, reducing the enemy's ability to maneuver from said attacks. It was a long shot, but at least it was a shot. Edited by Yuchi, Feb 21 2012, 09:46 PM.

Shana squinted as the dive bomb attack seemed to have failed, the sound of flapping wings reached her ears. With the fog obsuring her vision and the sound of wings dulling her ears she was going to have a hard time fighting this shadow. In truth the other Persona user's presence was making this fight far harder as she had to worry about hitting her ally with her Persona's attacks. When the wings of the other Persona seemed to distance itself she ordered Pale Rider to attack as once more the Rider charged forward his scythe swinging down as he tried to rake it acros the side of the lion shadow. Shana ordered another attack but it was then she heard the footsteps behind her. Turning she would see the two other people a boy and a girl. She tok a step back as she saw that the boy had a strange figure by him, a woman with a skeletal face upon a massive dragon like beast Her persona would turn as the other persona greeted him as if they knew each other. Pale Rider turned his head as it spoke it's voice a low whipser "Hello to you as well Mother Harlot, what does thou want with me?" |

Violet~ The Promiscuous Hooker / Mother Harlot~ The Sinful Persona
|
Mother Harlot chuckled. "You speak in olden tongues that have long since escaped the memory of these humans," she spoke disparagingly as Violet crossed his arms and glared at her. Although her trademark massive beast was not present, an air of deadly power seemed to emanate from the very unimpressive looking lady..in a physical sense, of course. She studied the white-haired boy flailing like a drowning human as his Persona drew back, wilting away from the lion that was - now that Violet had a closer look at it - larger than your average king of the pridelands. Mother Harlot snorted to herself, turning away from the dark lion. It was nothing to her. Even though her mighty Beast was not summoned yet, she could easily deal with that pest. Her eyes narrowed slightly when Violet gave her a questioning look - none could challenge her power and survive. In terms of magic, at least...it was the fault of Violet that she was physically frail. The boy's carelessly loud cry earned a grimace from both Violet and his Persona. Mother Harlot spoke to Violet with a dangerous air of grace. "I lust..for battle." "Keep on lusting, then," Violet grumbled as he moved away from the dark shadows of the lion and the winged figure. "I'm not getting involved in this-" "Forget not about the arena you saw on the TV two nights ago. This will be excellent practice, hone your talents to win. After all..there is a prize." Violet had forgotten, and he stopped in his tracks at once. The glint of treasures shone in his eyes, and he turned back to where the sound of the boy's voice came from with a completely different outlook. Yes..might as well start practicing now. What did the boy ask for again? Flank? The hell was that, some part of a horse wasn't it? "Here." And a moment later, Violet's mind was flooded with Mother Harlot's capabilities. Half-impressed and half-amused with what she could do, and decided to give it a little test. Feeling like a puppeteer as Mother Harlot raised her goblet, the fog temporarily parted to make way for a flash of lightning, the bolt aimed straight at the lion. |

Midori continued to survey the events before her, watching closely each of the personas that the group had summoned. It seemed as if the Pale Rider and the persona Sumire had summoned, which she found out was Mother Harlot, knew each other and exchanged a dialogue with each other. Interesting, she didn't know they could interact with each other either. It seemed as if there was a lot to learn about personas. Alliat, is it possible for personas to interact with each other? Midori asked Alliat curiously, not letting her emotions of surprise and the worry about not knowing something show. As she asked Alliat, she continued to survey the events before her, not one letting her eye stray from the action. Why of course we can. She replied calmly, a motherly tone laced into her voice as she addressed Midori. I never felt the need to tell you that as we barely ever encountered any other persona users. But now... Alliat trailed off, letting Midori finish the rest of the sentence. "Now it seems as if there are persona users by the dozens." She replied in a serious tone, Alliat making a noise of confirmation in her head as Midori continued to watch. You know what this means Midori. We're going to need allies. And they seem to be perfect people to help out. Alliat stated calmly, obviously indicating the 3 persona users that were fighting against the shadow. "Let's just wait and see for now. I need to see how they would handle themselves in a fight before jumping to conclusions and asking for their aid." She stated serenely, the small smile becoming just a little wider as she continued to watch the 3 persona users. |
