May 28th 10:00 PM "Every day's great at your Junes!" Sarina repressed a sigh as she heard that come from the TV; she disliked the song immensely, because it was just so...cheery and optimistic. Neither of her parents were home; her father was off, working, while her mother was doing much the same, having taken a job to augment the family's income. They were rarely, if ever, home at this time of night, but Sarina didn't mind that; she liked being alone. It gave her plenty of opportunities to draw in her sketchbook; but she was not doing that this night. No, instead she was watching the TV, turning her gaze to any program that happened to come on. If it didn't interest her? She simply resumed her drawing; she was drawing just random things, mostly the room she was in being distorted. Hm, curious, but she had never noticed how big her family's TV was before...not to mention the fact that this night, programs that were on seemed so very, very boring to her. With a sigh, the girl turned off the TV and continued to draw; she wondered, what did Personas do while their users went about their daily lives? Where did they go? It was when she was thinking this that the doorbell rang, and hastily, Sarina put her sketchbook to the side before rushing to the door leading downstairs, since she was still in her room. And, on the way, she tripped, sprawling straight towards the TV. Right before she crashed into it, she briefly thought she was going to die. She expected the impact, but it never came; she just...fell into the TV, and when she opened her eyes, she was in a strange world. A world she definitely didn't recognize. Just a tad scared, and reasoning this had something to do with shadows, she was about to reach for the Evoker she had stolen when she noticed it tumbling over a nearby edge; she stared at that spot for a while before she picked herself up. "Where...am I?" she asked of herself. Strange...her head was beginning to throb too; was it the fog? Determined to figure this place out, she began wandering, not knowing her destination. May 29th Midnight She had found a destination. Or rather, her destination had found her; she had managed to wander into a tower of some kind, though it was a relatively small tower, and she had stumbled across this...thing. This thing masquerading as her. And just what was she wearing? It looked similar to that outfit she had been forced to wear at that strange ball on the 26th, but...it seemed a bit more provocative somehow. "Welcome! I'm Sarina Daiju, and tonight, I will be your host!" the young girl who appeared to be Sarina exclaimed to those watching the Midnight Channel, a grin on her face; obviously, the real Sarina could not be seen by the audience. "I wonder, just how far can I push the envelope? How much can I pander to the fetishes out there!? Join me and find out!" the girl exclaimed, and with that said, the peak those outside of the Midnight Channel ended, and when it did, the shadow turned to the real girl. "You're afraid, aren't you? That you can't do anything, because people will think you're just some stupid little girl? At the same time though, you just want to use people. You don't really care about them," it was mocking her, and enjoying it. "What's that? You're angry? Well then, do something about it!" with a cackle, the shadow rushed off. For some reason, Sarina found herself chasing after it, up the castle. |

"Siiiiiggghhhh" was what Yuchi breathed out as fell onto his bed, rather exhausted. The events of the day had not only left him sore, but it also left him pondering the things that he witnessed, how the Personas of Shana and Sumire interacted with each other, the things that Midori had spoken to them about. But more importantly, his mind drifted to the Shadow he fought. It's face, it seemed so similer to hers that it was uncanny, if not disturbing. The fact that its presense seemed to cause Zaiaku to rise into activity only troubled Yuchi more. He wondered, was he starting to lose control of himself again? What if Zaiaku started going around in Yuchi's body, causing trouble? This dreadful thought lingered in his mind, very much like the fog he encountered earlier. He figured he must have dozed off for a while, for when he stirred back awake, the strange glow of the Midnight Channel rose from the screen of his TV. A slight chill running through his spine, Yuchi bolted upright in that instant. "Wuh?!" It wasn't as if it was the first time Yuchi had seen the Midnight Channel, in fact, he was more aware of it than the rumor that went with it. In truth, what caught Yuchi by surprise was that there was someone being shown on the channel. "Huh? What's up with this show?" Yuchi wondered, as some girl in a provocative outfit spoke. He felt a buzzing sensation in the back of his mind. Could Gemini be trying to warn him about something? Maybe, maybe not, but Yuchi couldn't shake this horrible feeling. His mind drifted back to his conversation with Midori back in the store regarding the Midnight channel, and how there were strange deaths in Inaba. He wondered how accurate his idea on how those deaths occured was, and he knew there might be only one way to find out for sure. And should this idea be correct, whoever this girl on the TV was might be in grave danger! Yuchi sprang from the bed. Even though Midori had lectured Shana, Sumire, and himself about equipping themselves with weapons, he knew he didn't have time for that. And so, after examining the size of his TV screen, finding it just large enough, Yuchi took a few steps back, ( "here goes!" ) and charged headfirst into the screen, feeling the familier sensation of traversing through it like water. The next thing he knew, it was almost as if he were falling through space. "W-WHOOOOOOOOOOAAAAHH!!!" Edited by Yuchi, Mar 19 2012, 10:46 PM.

"Another worthless person! Just how many people are worthless? All of them, all of them! I hate people!" This voice filled the area where Yuchi came out, and Sarina was forced to listen as this being said this. She couldn't fight against this creature, definitely not without Alice, and yet...the things being said were so untrue! They just had to be! Kumiko! Kumiko was definitely Sarina's friend, and not someone that she was using, right? "Everyone is a tool, no one is a friend! What's the value of friends when they always let you down, when they're so damned pathetic!?" the voice rang through the area again. It was true, and yet, not true; she was changing inside, wasn't she? ...Wasn't she? Sarina was, for once in her life, rather unsure about what she should do. What could she even do in this situation? She couldn't run away, not if she didn't want to risk being attacked by shadows; she had seen them on her way following after this version of herself, but they hadn't attacked her. Good thing too; she couldn't seem to get in touch with her Persona at all, for some reason, and that was what she was really worried about. "I'll show you," the other her was not speaking directly to this person that had seemingly arrived in the Midnight Channel; Sarina did not like the tone her other self held. "I'll destroy you, and show just how much people are worthless! How people can't do anything right without me to lead them!" the shadow was still speaking to Yuchi, and although Sarina wasn't able to tell, several shadows had just appeared near the boy, obviously summoned by the shadow before Sarina. The young girl stared at the creature that was still seemingly lost in the madness of what she was saying. "Ah, yes, and of course, there's also the fact that I'm worthless myself! I'm just a little girl! What can I do that would ever help people!? No, no, no! My best task in life, the one I'm most suited for, is eradicating life as much as I can, no matter how worthless I am, others are worth even less!" she seemed to be speaking to everyone who was still watching the Midnight Channel, which at this point, unfortunately did not include Yuchi. She was also dressed once more in a provocative outfit, or rather, a fetishy one, this time being a maid outfit. "I-I'm not like this..." Sarina said, but she wasn't sure about that at all; for the moment, the real and shadow Sarina waited at the top of a tower. |

And where exactly did Yuchi land? On his head, of course, fortunatly not all that hard enough to cause any potential damage that wasn't there before. "owie ow ow. . .why, just why?" he complained, rubbing his head. It came to his attention that a voice was ringing around him. "Huh? Worthless?" Yuchi found himself sitting there, a little confused upon hearing the voice continue. How everyone was a tool, unreliable and pathetic. The voice also seemed to threaten him, its desire to prove some sort of point. "Who's there? . . .wait, that girl from the TV, maybe?" Before Yuchi had time to pursue this thought, shadows began to manifest themselves around him. Shortly after appearing, one of them began to lunge toward him. "Whoa, WHOA!!" Yuchi shouted as he scurried out of the way, barely evading the attack. As the shadow turned its attention back toward him to strike again, Yuchi brought a hand in front of him, and a card appeared, spinning on its corner in the middle of his palm. "PERSONA!!!" he cried, crushing the card in his hand. From the particles of light that were emitted from the card, the white masked, white coated, and black winged form of Gemini emerged at once, and upon drawing its nodachi, it cleaved straight through the first shadow. Enraged, the other shadows surrounding Yuchi leapt forward. Gemini, as if on cue, spun around to face them, and before they could come to close too Yuchi, hacked them away. Yuchi then gave a sigh of relief, finally getting onto his feet. He then turned toward the tower that loomed in the worlds dense fog. Gemini floated to Yuchi's side, its gaze focused down upon him, expectant. Yuchi turned to his Persona. "She's up there, right?" Gemini responded in sign language, its gestures confirming Yuchi's statement. "Alright. We gotta hurry then! Let's go Gemini!" The angelic persona nodded, and knelt down, allowing Yuchi to climb onto it's shoulders, and then with Yuchi in tow, glided into the tower, and began counterstriking the shadows waiting within as they proceeded to ascend the towers levels. |

What was she? If the shadow was to be believed, and more and more Sarina felt she was right, then she was worthless. Yet, she felt herself better than everyone else...didn't that mean that everyone else was worthless too? But Kumiko...she wasn't worthless at all! Why? Why did the shadow not stop in berating her? "Just stop it..." Sarina muttered, trying to drown out the voice of the shadow. But that was impossible; it was her and she was it, even if she didn't realize that right then. She could never drown out that inner voice, no matter how much she struggled to do just that. "Stop? But you know it's the truth! I'm you, don't you know!?" the shadow exclaimed, then suddenly she went quiet; apparently Yuchi's ascent was being relayed to her. "Well, it seems our guest is here, our worthless guest! I shall greet him, and show him how great I truly am," the shadow informed Sarina, before she left the girl alone with her thoughts at the top of the tower. She was alone, now, and she realized just why she was so desperate to change her ways: loneliness...it was terrifying. She wanted to change from using people to making friends because it was easier to move through life if you weren't alone; she was definitely not the shadow. But she couldn't confront herself yet, and so, she waited while her shadow went down to greet Yuchi. The tower wasn't so much a tower as it seemed to be a burial crypt, with many tombs embedded into the walls of the tower. It was in a room filled with tombs upon tombs that the shadow Sarina appeared, and when Yuchi arrived? She laughed, and within moments, a greater version of a Wondrous Magus was present. "Did you come here thinking you could save anyone? What a fairy tale! If someone is useless, why would they need saving!? Why would they deserve it? And how could a person, someone just as useless as the one to be rescued, save anyone?" was what her shadow said to him; her words were in stark contrast to the outfit she wore. "Just you wait! The world will see just how pathetic Sarina Daiju really is inside!" she promptly informed him before rushing off, back to the top of the tower. What did the enhanced version of a Wondrous Magus do? Why, cast Zionga on Yuchi's Persona, of course. |

As Yuchi continued his ascent within the tower riding upon Gemini's shoulders, he started to take notice of the tombs in the walls. "This just keeps getting creepier and creepier," he muttered, keeping a cautious eye as he proceeded. Eventually he came to a room where many tombs seemed to be piled up on each other. It was here that he made Gemini halt its course, and stepped down to the floor. Shortly afterward, he saw the girl he saw from outside the midnight channel standing a distance away, laughing. As she did, Gemini seemed to tense up, as if wary of this girl, and upon seeing this reaction from his persona, Yuchi knew something wasn't right about her. He even recognised the demented joy on this childs face. It reminded him of a certain night long ago. "Are you a. . .Shadow?" he asked. "Where's the other person!?" A moment later, a large shadow appeared in the room. "What the-?!" Yuchi exclaimed, and in response, Gemini moved in front of him. The shadow girl spoke toward Yuchi, mocking his intention to save the girl trapped in this world, and inquired why such a useless person would need or deserve saving, and called Yuchi just as useless. "What are you talking about?! I dunno about whether or not I'm 'useless', but I don't see any reason why people need to be 'useful' to be saved!" After the girl stated that she was going to show how pathetic a "Sarina Daiji" (whom Yuchi assumed the owner of the shadow) was and rushed back up the tower, Yuchi was about to give chase when the enhanced Wondrous Magus sent a bolt of electricity toward Gemini. It didn't take much longer than a second for Yuchi to instinctively direct Gemini to evade, due to how he already fought against a certain electric foe earlier. The bolt crashed into the wall behind Gemini as it pumped its wings to propel itself upward. "Crap. . .looks like I don't have much choice!" Yuchi took cover some distance behind Gemini. It seemed he was going to have to do something about this Magus before he could go any further. "LET'S GO GEMINI!!!" Yuchi shouted, and as he did, the winged Persona glided toward the spellcasting shadow, swinging forth with its nodachi. |

She had even more time to think now. She thought herself a thinker always, but she really never did think about the deeper questions, did she? Was she really what the shadow claimed she was? Or was she different? She knew she had problems, so many problems, but she had gotten over them, or so she thought. Sarina was torn out of her thoughts by approaching footsteps; her shadow was cheerfully skipping towards her, maid outfit swishing as she did so. "Our friend's gonna dieee~," she cheerfully informed Sarina. She wanted to say something to the girl, but...what in the world could she say that would convince her to just stop? "Nothing," the shadow promptly stated, a wicked grin on her face. "How did I know what you were thinking? I'm you, remember," Sarina couldn't find it in herself to refute that, to refuse the girl, and instead, she cast her gaze in the direction the shadow had come from. "Like I said, he's gonna die...so you might as well get used to the new and improved you!" her shadow informed her. "B-but..." Sarina stuttered out, causing the shadow to offer her another grin. "What? What do you wanna say? 'You're not me'? But I am you, and always will be. You can't deny that," the shadow said, before turning to face the audience that might still be watching the Midnight Channel. "World, I am Sarina Daiju, and I'm just a young girl who needs saving! Oh won't someone out there save a little girl who can't do anything on her own?" once more her shadow had changed outfits; Sarina was a bit disturbed to see herself, or at least something that looked like herself, wearing a stereotypical nurse outfit. But still, she could not find words to say to the creature. Meanwhile, the Wondrous Magus, or enhanced Wondrous Magus which Noka was just going to refer to as a Wondrous Magus, roared as it was struck by the nodachi. It, obviously, was not enough to just outright kill it, but it was injured by the attack. With a cry full of fury, another spell was cast towards the Persona and Persona user, this time a high intensity Agilao spell. |

Gemini's nodachi struck the mage, causing it to cry out in pain from the blow. After the attack had been dealt, the persona ascended higher into the air and began to circle around to attack once more. As Gemini circled, the shadow unleashed a furious cry, and it cast forth a torrent of flames rushed upward toward the persona. Forcing itself to cease its flight path around the room, Gemini closed it's wings around itself in a defensive cocoon as the flames engulfed it. And with that, a burning pain jolted through Yuchi's nerves, and he stumbled to one knee, and let out a pained cry of his own. The pain only seemed to intensify as flames continued to engulf the persona. Dammit, he thought. I've come so far. . . His vision was starting to blur, as if he himself were in the center of mirage spawning flames instead of Gemini. Though it took an incredible effort ,Yuchi found the strength to stand back on his feet. Too far, he thought, to give up now! " I . . .I won't," Yuchi began. "I won't just stand by and let this happen!!!" As if empowered by these words, Gemini threw its wings outward, blowing back the flames around it. "Gemini, let's give it all we've got!!" In response, Gemini circled over the Wondrous Magus, and dive bombed towards it, swinging its nodachi once again as it came in range. |

"Our guest is losing, dear Sarina. Worthless. People, that is. You always think that," her shadow said, patting her on the head. "But don't you worry. I'll take care of everything. I AM the real you, after all," the shadow said again, before frowning. Back with Gemini and Yuchi, the Wondrous Magus cackled in delight as its attack hit home, at least partway...and then the next instant it cried out in pain again as it was struck by Gemini's nodachi. It eyed the weapon evilly, but the attack had sent it to the ground, and now it was struggling to get up, to find some way to continue fighting. Yes indeed, Yuchi had just scored a lucky critical hit, and now he had a chance for an all out attack, however weak it might be with just one person. "Hm, that's curious. Oh well, I shall just deal with him myself!" the shadow cried, ignoring the irony in the fact that Yuchi was not as worthless as she had claimed he was. "H-He...he's beating the shadow, isn't he? Doesn't that mean he isn't worthless?" Sarina asked; she hadn't been told anything, but she had perceived enough to be able to deduce that something was going on. "Shut up. Worthless creatures...they just don't deserve to speak." the shadow said plainly, its yellow eyes glowing as it stared at the door, awaiting for the moment that Yuchi would defeat the Wondrous Magus, destroy the shadows on the way upward, and meet them, the two of them. The room they were in...it was a large, rectangular room, coffins lining the wall, with a large one serving as a sort of throne upon which shadow Sarina was sitting. |

As the nodachi cleaved into Wondrous Magus, it fell to the floor, apprently stunned. Yuchi wasted no time and directed his Persona in the gestures of sign language. Taking heed of Yuchi's instructions, Gemini circled around and in a blur of speed, flew past the shadow once more, swinging the nodachi in a wide arc as it did so, and stopped as it reached the other side of the room. At first, nothing seemed to happen, in fact, it almost seemed that Gemini missed the finishing blow for a few seconds. But then, large tears ripped across the shadow, reducing it to ribbony wisps of darkness. As the shadow faded away, Yuchi and Gemini turned in the direction the shadow girl fled before the battle. "Alright, let's go!" Yuchi said to his persona. In response, Gemini lifted Yuchi onto its shoulders and glided up the rest of the levels of the crypt-tower. A few more hoards of minor shadows came there way, but Gemini managed to swiftly dispatch them as they continued. They eventually reached a door near the top of the tower, and Yuchi dismissed Gemini. Yuchi found himself hesitating for a moment, but soon opened the door, and entered a very large room, filled with coffins, one of such coffins was being used as a sort of throne for the shadow girl, her yellow eyes sending a chill down Yuchi's spine. |
