M A Y ▪ 2 2 N D // 5 : 0 0 P M Really now, she shouldn't have been cheating on her husband in the first place. Odette snickered away quietly behind the fence of a unhappily married couple who had been living in Inaba together for a few years. She has collected various intel on them, for example how many years they lived together (three), the fact that they had both moved in from the city, met and got married, and then that she was having various... 'encounters' with the next door neighbour. It wasn't a pretty sight. The couple argued, shouting at the top of their voices – which unfortunately for Odette – attracted a lot of attention. But for now? She didn't care about that. She was just waiting for the icing on the cake. It had taken many months of careful planning to execute such a ridiculous scene. And for what? The women stepped back slowly from her red-faced and clearly angry husband. Step by step... Odette braced for impact, and tightened her grip on the bag she was holding. The women stepped back further.. and further until... There was a slight moment of silence as the women's back hit the plastic drainpipe behind her. There was enough time for her to wipe her tears, and take in a deep breath before a deafening crack was heard, and murmurs rang out from the people whom had stopped to watch the scene. Only a few milliseconds passed between the crack, and the downpour of black, thick sludge falling on top of the women, covering her nearly from head to toe. Odette dived up onto the fence, wielding the bag she had brought with her for this exact moment... and dumped the bag of feathers over the top of the women, whom barely had time to react to anything. “Hah!” Odette shouted. “Now you look more like the chicken you really are, running away from your marriage like that!” She shrieked with laughter. “Now go run off like the little chicken you are, lady!” Odette turned, and jumped off the fence. “Oh, wait!” she said, jumping back up. She saluted the husband, and grinned. “You're welcome for the note and the pictures, Mister!” She hopped off once more (leaving the husband, and the standers-by utterly flabbergasted.) and – spotting the local police officers, she ran off at breakneck speed through the back treets of Inaba, winning out to their inability to turn around the sharp corners. She heard the distinct sound of one poor man face planting a concrete wall and turned back to pull a face at him, before carrying onwards to her hiding place. She had recently changed her 'Field base' in favour for a more secure one. She has previously been using the shrine – but lately she had seen a girl and her dog staying there from time to time. She decided that the secrecy of her Field Base was compromised, and therefore she should move on to better places. Her new choice of base, was simply an old, run-down and abandoned house on the far side of the Residential District. A lot of the locals turned their noses up at the place, and a lot avoided even walking past the building itself. It was perfect for her. She hopped in over the fence, and fell back onto the grass, trying to get her breath back. And now, all she needed to do was to find something new. She was bored again. Busy day, busy day. Senosuke was practically jogging through what felt like an endless maze in the outside of Inaba. He hadn't only been here long, and already he's gotten to fill every last errand until the bones on his fingers and toes give. He almost wish he could swear under his breath from all the chaos in his shaken head. He needed a break, heaven knows he does. Question is, how to get all of this stuff out of the way. It probably would've been impossible, at this rate. Until... A crowd? Indeed, there was a bit of commotion coming ahead of him. The frenzied sounds of rumors, dumbfounded bystanders...looked like something out of a weird gag manga. In the end, the boy kept to his mind and tried to shuffle up one of his older, beaten notebooks. Closing off his eyes, he started to imagine a better sense of solitude, one that would smother him and take away the unneeded stress...although, a speeding human being was not what Senosuke had in mind. Psh~! Scattered papers flowed about the place, looking almost like overgrown snowflakes in the odd timing of a warm day. Great...more work, he sighed as he tracked down the trail of his belongings. One by one, they came to lead him onto a more beaten, barren path. Before Senosuke now lied a fence fronting an empty house, a faint skip of his heart all too telling. Many of the locals came to avoid the place...perhaps, it's too dangerous? Nonetheless, as he came to check into his notes, it came to his alarm that an important piece was missing... And that's when he saw it. A patch of white on the other side of the fence. Lingering thoughts of monsters and murderers crossed the mute's imagination, but he came to shake his head. Heh...c'mon. Why would any old boogey-thing stalk a town like this?....r-Right?" Slowly, he made his over and landed over the fence and onto his back with a loud thud... |

Someone was lingering on the other side of her fence. Someone who didn't have permission to be there. Nonetheless, she listened to the unwelcome guest, propping her upper body up with her arms outstretched behind her. She heard a shuffle of papers, and wondered to herself what kind of person would be carrying that much paper around on their person to begin with. "Maybe this is a chance to test my latest invention!" she thought to herself. She scrambled under the shoddy, broken down house to where she stashed some of her projects, and retrieved a medium sized megaphone from amongst her things. There was a loud thud from the garden area, an she scrambled back there as fast as she could. Upon seeing the silver-haired intruder, she jumped up and pointed in his general direction. “HAH!” She shouted, making her presence known. “Soooo.... trespassing on my secret base, hmmm~?” The boy turned towards her, dusting himself off a little. She glared at him in response. “You do realise you're going to have to TERMINATE YOU for being here, right?!” she grinned down at him. He remained silent. Odette rubbed her chin theatrically, “Though... I suppose...” she mused aloud, circling the intruder. “Yes.... YES!” Still nothing. “You. I'll allow you to pass freely on ONE CONDITION!” The boy stared back at her. “You are to be my assistant!” she boldly announced. With a small giggle and a flick of hair, she skipped towards the boy and put the megaphone in his hands. “It's my laaaaaaaatest invention~! It's a voice-changing megaphone!” she rubbed her hands together, and wondered around the grass, “Although, at the moment it only has my voice programmed into it....” she mumbled. She turned back to the boy, her eyes bright. “You should try it!” |
