Discuss Season 4, Episode 10 below. The episode hasn't aired yet, so feel free to speculate on what will happen. Use the spoiler tag for any spoilers-for episode discussion threads spoilers are defined as anything that isn't just speculation.

The rule for the episode discussions are that people are allowed to talk about episodes live, so you don't have to use a spoiler tag for any information about the episode (unless you know something that hasn't been broadcast on TV yet). So as soon as the episode starts airing on the Eastern Coast in the US, there is no need for spoiler tags or warnings when you're talking about something you've just seen. People on the West Coast who don't want to be spoiled, just stay clear of that episode discussion until you've seen the episode (there's lots of other areas on the board you can have discussions on-including the previous weeks).

After the episode has aired/or while it's airing you can discuss anything about the episode: what you thought about Andy and Nick (this is a McCollins forum of course ;) ), the other characters, the plot lines for the week, what you liked or didn't liked. Go wild, but as always be respectful to each other!

I thought it was a really good episode. Not enough Nick and Andy interacting for me (but then again I would settle for an entire episode of just watching just the two of them).

I actually didn't feel bad for Gail until this episode-I guess a lot of it was Charlotte Sullivan's acting when her facade finally broke and she broke down in front of Andy. I was personally never drawn to the Nick/Gail relationship, but after watching tonight's episode I guess I realized that Gail really must have seen Nick as the person she was definitely going to spend the rest of her life with. I guess that makes seeing him with Andy that much harder because she knows Nick views Andy completely differently than he did her. She knows that Nick's in it for the long run (we'll have to wait and see what the writers choose to do in regards to the Andy/Sam relationship before we know if Andy wants to be in it long term).

But it was nice to see that she actually still chose to be with him, despite Gail's reaction. That's the first sign that we've had that she really does harbor romantic feelings towards him-I really wanted to believe it but we've only seen him professing how he feels up until tonight. We didn't get a declaration, but I think that her actions speak pretty loudly about where her head is at. She's not one to betray a friend (usually she would hesitate or back off and overthink things).

I am a little worried about Sam's confession and that it just happens to coincide with when Andy's moving ahead with Nick. However one of my biggest complaints about Sam is that he never talks about how he feels (which is in complete opposition with how Andy behaves), so it was nice to finally have him admit his feelings and the truth. Now if he could just work on doing that in relationships.

Other fun stuff in the episodes was the cabin. I'm really liking the story with Celery dating Oliver-he seems to have moved on well from his wife (then again I always like any storyline with Oliver) and I liked that he called Sam out on using Marlo as a way to try to fill something that wasn't there and that he wasn't giving her the attention she needed.

And I was glad Dov called Chris out on letting everybody walk all over him. I'm excited to see what's left for him this season.

Last, but not least. I hate to admit it, but Chloe has grown on me. Her really annoying/irritating behavior at the beginning of the season has been toned down and now she's mostly just confident, quirky, and a little dorky at times. I really liked that Nick admitted that he was wrong and that he told Traci to take her as his way of telling her that he thought she was a good, capable cop. It's small moments like that that remind me why I really love Nick even outside of his relationship with Andy. He's such a good guy.

Can't wait for next week! I'm almost watching episodes live now that McCollins is canon and going strong.

I Love this episode even though there wasn't a lot of Nick and Andy scenes. I thought it was hilarious how Andy ended up hugging Gail instead of telling her about her and Nick. The scenes with Gail high on Oxycontin were also funny. The scene with the little elephant was very clever because of the saying "elephant in the room" ( the elephant being the secret that Andy was trying to tell Gail). One thing I hated was how Gail tried to make Andy feel even worse about what happened by using the whole girl code thing. Although Andy did break girl code - and i get how that was hurtful to Gail - Gail was the one to cheat on Nick , therefore leaving the path open for Andy & Nick. Andy is already such a kind and emotional person that knowing she hurt someone would hurt her too. So I'm glad to see that Gail's reaction didn't stop Andy from wanting to be with Nick. Oh and that was so cute that Andy thought Nick was worth it. (yayyyyy!!! lol)

And now lets move on to the boys and the cabin. Chris is back! Woohoo! I think Oliver and Celery are so cute and I'm glad hes giving her a chance even if shes a little weird. Also I love Shaw but i feel like he still treats Dov and Chris like rookie. They haven't been rookies for quite a while now so i don't think Oliver should still be ordering them around like they still are. Especially if they're not on duty or at work. They should be treated as equals.

Sam's confession about missing Andy and wanting a life with her was a little unexpected. First of all Sam's not usually the type of guy to admit his feelings to anyone. Second, he seemed totally fine last week and now hes staring at her and confessing his feelings? Is this because of how Nick stood up for her when he was questioning Andy about Christian's kidnapping? Is this jealousy or is he really ready to commit to Andy? Either way I hope he doesn't come between Nick and Andy because that would be a major disappointment.

Chloe was awesome this episode. She was right about no one taking her seriously even thought shes a cop just like the rest of them (giggle stick though? lol i wouldn't have believed that one either). But I'm glad that even though everyone keeps underestimating her she came through big time and helped solve the case. I didn't like the way Traci treated her though. When Traci said " Why are you still standing there" i was a bit surprised because Traci's usually a nice person.

And last but not least Traci and Steve's budding relationship. Ahhh they are just too cute. Its time for Traci to get back into dating and Steve is the perfect guy to start with.

Okay I'm going to wrap this up now because its starting to like an essay. I can't wait for the next episode. From the promos and sneak peeks it looks like its going to be another good one.

Glad to see that someone else liked the episode too! I really really liked the scene where Andy hugged Gail too. It just emphasized what a bad liar Andy is when it comes to things that count. It was like if you're not going to confess that you've been sleeping with Nick, hugging Gail is the one of the biggest ways that you can inadvertently let her know that you're hiding something or that something's wrong. But I liked that Andy wasn't able to lie. To me it meant both that she cared about Gail's friendship and feelings and that even though we haven't exactly seen how she feels about Nick romantically she obviously feels something for him as more than friends with benefits (lying would have been easy if it was just sex and not some sort of real relationship).

But yeah Gail trying to make Andy feel worse with the girl code thing was messed up. One thing I've wondered about is whether Andy knows that Gail cheated on Nick. I have to believe that if she knew that Gail had that scene would have played out a lot differently. She probably would have had a little sympathy for her (Gail did believe Nick was the love of her life after all at one point), but I think at the point Gail tried to guilt trip her she would have stood up for herself and reminded Gail that the only reason Nick broke up with her was because she was unfaithful. I do wonder if we'll ever find out if Nick told Andy the whole truth about why he broke up with Gail (or whether he already has).

Sam's confession... I think that Sam has never stopped missing Andy, but the writers haven't exactly gone out their way to write scenes to show it this season, so I can definitely seem how it seemed a little sudden. Most of Sam's feelings for Andy have been expressed this season (especially lately) as either longing glances or him being abrupt with her (which many McSwarek fans see as a sign of him trying avoid admitting to himself how much he loves her). I think him admitting how he feels was because Oliver asked him a question and he answered without having time to think (sort of like the game people play where you tell them the first thing you think of when they give you a word). Then Oliver pressed him and he didn't really have an escape.

I think that part of Sam's reaction is driven because he does love Andy, but I can't help but think that another part of it is he's more willing to admit his feelings because she's moving on and he's started to see it. He realizes that she's gradually pulling out of his reach and that he could lose her for good. I think he sees the friendship between Nick and Andy and might suspect that Nick has feelings for her, but at this point he doesn't realize that she's started something with him. It'll be interesting to see what happens when he actually figures it out. But like you I hope that Andy stays with Nick (at least through the end of the season) because it would suck if all they did was to put McCollins together for a few episodes just so they could unite Andy and Sam at the end of the season. I will not be happy because it will end up hurting Nick really bad.

As for Chloe, you're right she was awesome this episode. And I worked in law enforcement for a long time (and have several friends who are cops) and have never heard the term giggle stick, so I don't blame Nick for looking it up. But it was awesome of him to admit that he was wrong and check his ego by letting her work the case instead of him as a consolation. And fun fact about her language skills is that Priscilla Faia (the person who plays Chloe) speaks a bunch of different languages and they wrote that part of her character and the storyline based on what she can do in real life.

Anyway, that's my essay (you don't have to worry about writing essays :P ) I like discussing the episodes, so hopefully you don't mind my long response!
