Dnd Next official release: http://media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/DnDBasicRules.pdf Literally fuck the above, use the official PHB http://www.mediafire.com/view/qcrblfk60vlq89u/DnD_5e_Players_Handbook_(BnW_OCR).pdf https://anonfiles.com/file/0011447798cc7d90e14b43e4d5ea5265 5 years ago, the continent of Rogrest came under siege from a bizarre and terrifying source. From a rip in the very fabric of time and space, a malevolent creature who called itself Mrzfdpnk (who insisted it be spelt this way) invaded an unsuspecting house within the human city of Torn. Without warning, provocation, or reason, the creature began reaping chaos, destruction, and misery wherever he saw fit to travel, often on a whimsy. Mrzfdpnk's power was seemingly without limit, and his sense of humor was sadistic. With a wave of his hand, he turned crops into glass and stone, people into malformed and horrific parodies of themselves, monarchs and aristocrats into lowly livestock. He would make the ocean surrounding the continent into syrup, clouds into floating forests, and cities into paper. He even rearranged the moon into the shape of a banana with but a thought. Within hours, he had rendered every nation, from the humans to the elves to the dwarves and everything in between, helpless before his omnipotence. Armies were wiped out in an instant, and Mrzfdpnk reveled in torturing, humiliating, and subjugating his new found playthings in all manners unnatural and cruel. However, Mrzfdpnk's reign was not meant to last: within three days of his arrival, a brilliant multicolored flash erupted from within the palace he had made for himself out of the remains of all the castles he conquered. Mrzfdpnk's screams of agony could be heard from the other side of the continent as the glow of the light eventually enveloped everything that could be seen in the continent. When the light subsided, all of Rogrest had returned to as it was before the monster's arrival, all of the creature's alterations and damage reverted. The tyrannical rule of the mad god had ended before it even had time to begin, leading many to question whether the entire experience was a mere fantasy, magically envisioned to all by some harrowing result of a spell gone awry. The tear that had led to Mrzfdpnk's arrival in Rogrest had remained after his expulsion. Recent experiences with the terrifying beast had caused once warring nations to cooperate in order to determine the nature of the tear, mages and philosophers from all nations making the former city of Torn into a multi-cultural paradise as they studied it. In the time since then, they have learned much. Within the first few years since its founding, the mages and scholars of Torn have discovered a means to safely enter the tear, which resulted in the discovery of the Planar Labyrinth: a series of dimensional corridors that connected dozens, hundreds of different planes with each other, many of which had not been discovered by arcane or divine methods. And many with inhabitants of their own, many of whom were remarkably similar to the races found in Rogrest. In entering the labyrinth, contact with other planes, entirely different worlds both similar and incredibly foreign to your own have been discovered. The world, already so large and full of differences, had become grander on a near unfathomable scale. As connections grew with the neighboring dimensions, constantly changing from the tear as readily as the wind shifts its direction, stories were learned about Mrzfdpnk, from other dimensions that had met similar monsters. He was a member of a powerful, reality-altering race known as the Zyx, whose power to bend the universe on a whim was what led to the creation of the Planar Labyrinth and the joint connection of the various planes. Many of the stranger dimensions hold their existence entirely to coming into contact with them. However, they were long thought extinct: the idea that Mrzfdpnk actually existed has made Rogrest the talk of the labyrinth in recent years. As immigration into the labyrinth began to be organized by the many curious inhabitants of the nations of Rogrest, word began to spread from beyond the tear: a rumor that has, for decades, driven many adventurers across the labyrinth that how now passed on to Rogrest. The order and shape of the roads of the labyrinth was determined by the order the Zyx visited the worlds... and many theorize that all these roads came from a common source. This led to one inevitable and important realization: on the other end of the Planar Labyrinth must be the land the Zyx originally came from. What sort of treasures must wait there? What sort of power could be obtained? What sort of evil might be released should anyone ever enter that world? The list of reasons to find the Land of the Zyx is as long as the list of adventurers traversing the Planar Labrynth. Whatever reasons they have, they now all have one over-riding purpose: to get there first. They all travel in one direction, toward the unknown on the other end. Your character must be native to Rogrest: very little of the campaign will take place there, though, so I don't feel the need to write an overwhelming amount of lore. As such, I will take literally almost any suggestion you all have for your backgrounds and respective nations. I would like to ask three goals, however, that your characters wish to accomplish in their lives and perhaps along this journey, besides reaching the Land of the Zyx. UPDATE IMPORTANTE: You use the starting equipment for your background and your class, rather than using the GP values by Class Table. Edited by Ryan, Aug 20 2014, 04:20 AM.

Not 100% on the details yet, but here's my sheet. Also, I'm sorry for being another wizard. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=15461 Alternis Dim is an elderly elf, considered crazed and senile by his former neighbors and friends, who worships mathematics and is obsessed with the Sun, Lightning magic, and the Aether. He dreams that one day he will be able to use the power of mathematics and magic to absorb the energy of the Sun, to create a device for calculation and communication using the potential of arc magic, and to create a method of travel for exploring the aether of his own world, and others. He was pretty normal until one day when he was standing on his toilet, trying to hang a clock, when he slipped and fell and hit his head on the sink, which gave him the image of the equilateral triangle, from which he began to derive the laws of the great god, Math. |

Kioko Fawks Human Age: 22 Monk: Way of the Elements Kioko Fawks is one of the Great Grandchildren of the Fawks family. Her Great Grandparents left main stream society but still supported and interacted with it as self appointed guardians. The family has several family friends, the most prominent being a Seemingly age less bard called Vates. Everyone in the family receives a basic education and martial arts training. Then they are encouraged to pursue their own talents and desires. Kioko's mother is Vivi a wild mage and to Vivi's disappointment, Kioko had little talent for magic. She is however a very gifted martial artist. Though disappointed, Vivi found a monk monastery for her daughter. The monks soon noticed odd phenomenons when Kioko would fight or practice he forms. The elements seemed to bend around her. Though the monks knew of the Way of the Elements as a path, This monastery had never taught it or produced any one capable of it. They encouraged Kioko to pursue the path but even Upon completion of her training she could not produce any effect beyond what the monks first observed. Vates taught all the Fawks children music. Kioko fell in love with what Vates called a trailmens flute. He gave her the one She had first seen him play telling her to take care of it for him, that it was older than she would believe. He gave it to her the day she left for the monastery and hasn't seen him since. Kesis Was her master at the monastery. Goal 1: Find Vates and preform for him. Goal 2: Master The Way of the Elements. Goal 3: Live up to her Family's Self Appointed duty. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=16338 ![]() ![]() Edited by Reic, Aug 23 2014, 04:24 AM.

James Harrington the 7th, a well off Half-Elf from a semi-noble background. Well traveled, he just arrived in Torn not knowing a soul, but he becomes quick friends with those he meets and people are quick to trust him, so it was not long before James found himself among Torn's social elite. A skilled entertainer James can play many instruments with his signature a beautifully constructed Violin whose notes seem to dance in the heads of the people who hear its music. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=18063 Temporary Picture

I might have changed my mind... Imma be a fighter. Teddy Hammer's back, bitches. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=17902 After getting killed in the harsh zombie apocalypse survival world, Theodore Odin Roosevelt awakens in... Rogrest? Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure this is Asgard. He can faintly remember surviving in another world, but he gets the sense that this is not the first time that he has died, only to find himself somewhere new, but never the eternal afterlife in the halls of Valhalla that he hopes for. Disturbed by a vision of countless worlds awaiting him, he seeks to find the reality-altering power that he needs from the Planar Labyrinth, so he can find the world he's been searching for. He appears to be biologically around 30 years old. He wants to run with a team of legends, like in the stories. With a magic hammer and power over lightning, he hopes to justice to those who deserve it... And eat their hearts for their courage. Their sweet, tasty courage. Best GoG reference ever. I have spoken w/ both of them, and they both said they were making characters. But considering neither of them have even made accounts yet, I'm not worrying about them. |
