Blade walked down the streets of what no longer looked very familiar. At one time, this place seemed like home. Now, however, it was barely recognizable. Trash and debris scattered the streets, brawls and petty crimes could be witnessed from just about anywhere, reploids and humans alike in not-so-great-shape could be seen slouching in the streets, and all of the once industrial buildings laid in rubble.

He was weary of where he walked. His eyes darted, unseen, from behind his visors. He noticed people gathering from the corners, the streets; even rubble seemed to shift aside in order for someone to peak out at him. It was obvious he was in an area where the people were prepared for fight for what they cared for. That's alright, however, he thought; he wasn't here to take anything of theirs. He just wanted to go home.

If I get home and I find any folk like these, I'm afraid I'll have to extricate them. . .forcefully, he thought with a grimace, realizing that he just might. With this area in shambles, and apparently getting worse by the second, even he would take somewhere so old in order to live.

Finally, the familiar building came into sight. Glass letters barely hung from the cracked walls, while almost all of the windows were blown out. The gate that used to block access to the building was wide open, and practically looked like it was completely ripped off of it's hinges. The once tall, proud building was now but a shadow of itself; the upper most floors, which would have been arcing into the air, instead found in rubble on the ground. With a sigh, Blade rounded the corner and stood in front of the gate.

"Siega Labs. . .after all of these years, this is what it's turned into. Perhaps the restoration modules are still in tact. . ." he mused, walking forward through the debris. Once he got deeper into the land, he had to tread over the debris to get further. He was alright with this, though, as this gave him a rather good insight as to what could have been within the rubble. Thankfully enough, he seemed to be alone.

He walked straight through what would've been the front door. It was ajar. Naturally, all of the lights were off. Mechanical pillars, normally radiating with a dark light, filtered the floors; pipes and wires stretched down from the cracks in the ceiling. Blade dared to take the stairs, finding his way towards the topmost floor of the building; which hadn't been taken down.

Thankfully enough, Dr. Siega had built his labs in the middle of his building. No one would suspect a scientist to build his Lab anywhere but near the top, which led him to do this. A security caution, he always called it. . .insanity, Blade always corrected. Of course, with the building in the state that it is in now, he had no reason to question Dr. Siega's means; it didn't protect him, or the lab, in the end.

Of course, there was a reason that Blade had found his way up here. There was something important; very important. Doctor always talked about it; a sort of fail-safe plan in case his lab ever went in flames. If the device is still protected and functional, Blade will need to find it and activate it. However, that will also lead him to need to constantly defend his work space. Of course, he had done this plenty times before; he wouldn't mind doing it again. Activating his Visual Analyzer, he began to scan the room; moving around as needed.

Something caught his eye. Suddenly turning back to where his eyes just were, as he was quickly scanning the room, his visualizer picked up a heat signature.

"Whose there?! Answer me; you have ten seconds before I attack!"

"Ack! Please don't shoot! I didn't think this place was occupied!"

A feminine voice yelled in response before popping her head out of cover. Her long braid hung over her shoulder as she looked at Blade. Her armor was a Orange and yellow like fire and her eyes were a lovely red like rubies. two large flaming wings seem to be coming out of her back which gave off the most heat in the area.

"I was just here to recharge my P.R.U... and maybe crash here for the night."

Blade wasn't pointing any kind of gun at her; rather, there was a sword drawn and ready for action. Wild eyes studied her behind his visors, as if ready to attack should she show a violent tendency. Appearing satisfied, Blade threw the sword up into the air around him; while he came out of his battle stance, his sword was consumed in a fire that sprouted from the very hand that held it. Afterwords, he began on a purposeful walk towards her.

"This place is a mess. Why would you want to stay here?" he queried, looking about all of the rubble. Stone pillars, shattered walk ways; even the ceiling was a sign of danger. He would never stay here. . .not in his right mind, at least.

He realized, however, that if he were pushed against the wall without anywhere to stay. . .he would think this to be a mansion.

"Well I'd give you a whole story but I'm just here to Recharge my PRU... this place seemed to have power unlike the other places... and not to mention the group of Mavericks I saw in the streets not too long ago."

She responded as she scooted back a bit to keep her distance from Blade. From the looks of it she seemed to already have set up camp here, probably until the mavericks pass or she gets kicked out. a belt hung from her body with a large array of energy knives which were all turned off at the moment.

"If I'm in your home then I'll just leave. There's no need for us to fight."

He noticed her beginning to back away. As he got closer, it seemed that she would get farther away. With a sudden decision, he stopped moving. "I wasn't aware I was scaring you. You have no need to fear; I have no issues with you staying here. So long as you don't make yourself a nuisance, that is," he told her, just before a crimson circle suddenly popped up on his visualizer. This circle seemed to shift around from it's original position, and could be viewed by her.

Blade followed this circle's movement keenly with his sharp eyes, knowing what it was. It finally rested on a section of the wall, near the back; becoming rather larger, and somewhat jagged. His visualizer scanned said wall, and he gave off a smile. "Stay here; I think I've just found what I came here looking for," he ordered, taking a warning glance towards her. It wasn't that he meant her any ill harm, or that he didn't trust her; he wasn't, exactly, sure what this would do. Once he activated this device, it could do practically anything. Once he was sure she would obey, he began a careful walk towards the back; continuing to scan the room for any other signs of life.

"Oh... okay..."
She watched him head to the other room before checking on her P.R.U to see it was almost fully charged. She looked around a little bit to see the building's damage. she was pleased to find that it hadn't been damaged beyond repair, some elbow grease and a few hands could fix the place up and make it at least operational.

"So... uh, do you know this place or something?"
She asked as she grabbed her PRU and stuffed it into the duffel bag with her stuff in it.

He scoffed at the thought, finally coming to the wall. With a kick of his foot, he took some rubble out of the way. Then, he gripped the wall with a steel hold and, quite violently, pulled it apart; what laid behind the wall, was a small device. It stood about two feet off the ground, and seemed to only be a small pedestal with a data-insert device. He seemed pleased with his find.

"Know this place? Hmph. This is where I live; it was once in much better condition, back when my maker called this place home. So, yeah; you could say I know just about everything there is to know about this building. . .except, what might happen when I do this," he answered, placing his hand onto the data-insert device.

A small, yet audible, voice suddenly came from the device: Data Recognition System, Active. . . . . . . Welcome, Blade.

Siega Labs Status Report : Vital Repairs Required!

The computerized voice seemed to grow louder at that last piece. Small wires suddenly came from the pedestal, attaching to other remote places around the room, and even leaving the room to attach to places around the building. Blade stepped back, but never let his hand from the device.

Structural . . .

Blade didn't stick around for much longer. With a decision, he bolted from where he was standing, grabbed the girl, and created a brand new hole in the wall of the building to jump out of. With a single kick, the two were through the wall and safely floating above the ground; Blade's thrusters holding them up as he made a careful landing. Once he was down, he let go of her and began running at full speed towards the gates.

He turned back to her, in case she didn't get the memo. "Come on!"

Blade didn't need to grab or tell her to run, she was already out the door when the warnings came on. before blade came out she took flight with her wings and hovered a good 10 feet off the ground with every flap of her flaming wings.
"By Lucifer's name! The heck did you do?!"
She began frantically checking herself for something, she then checked her bag before becoming more relaxed as she pulled out a old cosset player and turned it on with a earphone in her human looking ear. who ever designed her made her to look as human as possible but keep small reploid pieces stick out.
"Thank god I still have it, I don't know what I would do without my music."
