A young barefoot man meandered down the hallway, seemingly half asleep. Occasionally, he paused to sniff the air, long bushy tail sweeping the floor behind him. His hair was messy and unruly, like bed-head hair, but... On a grand scale. A cat-like beast with wings was curled around the man's neck, occasionally batting at this crystal chains hanging from his ears. For one of the Advisors of the academy, Jarvis really looks like he could use some advising instead, on recommended sleep habits. Finally, he stopped his drowsy walking to pause outside the entrance to the cafeteria, suddenly seeming more energised. "...Food." the fera grinned, and straightened himself up, before walking inside. Collecting a tray of food, Jynarvis set his things down at a table near one of the windows, and took a seat. Barely moments after sitting down, he practically inhaled his chicken soup, and vacuumed up the bread roll. Sylph grumbled in protest at not being spared any food, so the albino laughed and set her down on the table, folding his arms on the table and laying his head back down, with the intent of randomly sleeping in the cafeteria. A boy seemingly no older than seventeen stepped into the Cafeteria, glancing at the food stalls. With perfectly combed jet black hair and violet eyes that seemed to glow, the boy was wearing a cloak of sorts which covered his outfit underneath. If anything, he looked a tad bit suspicious. For one, what kind of person would be covering their whole body in a school? Usually one would have expected a shady figure to be slouching slightly, but no. His posture was perfect, as if overflowing with confidence, making it all the more odd. The boy walked over to one of the stalls, pointing at a few dainty pink macarons sandwiching a layer of fresh raspberries and cream mousseline without a word. The person managing the stall was slightly puzzled by the appearance of him but followed his orders all the same. The person placed the dessert on the counter and just resumed doing his stuffs. A pale hand stretched out under the cloak and took the plate. With the dessert on his plate, he set it on a table nearby. He took a seat, his composure elegant as he looked straight ahead to notice a certain man. He instantly recognized him as one of the members of the Triad Magus Council but was sort of disturbed by his lack of delicacy. Just wolfing down his food and then about to sleep in a dining area. Did he mention his clothes too? Well, his own were rather odd so he was in no position to judge. But something else caught his eye. The furry little critter curled around the man's neck. Gazing right at it, he soon directed his stare back at his plate. After all, it would be considered rude for staring so long. Picking up one macaron with slender fingers, he bit down onto it, the cream filling his mouth and he chewed silently with his eyes shut, concealing the glowing orbs beneath. Sylph was lapping up the remains of the soup, when she felt her fur raise. Looking up, the beast noticed a strange man staring at her. Nudging Jarvis awake, he startled and mumbled some gibberish, looking to his familiar for an explanation for the disturbance. Following the beast's gaze, his ears flicked as he too noticed the cloak-clad individual. Frowning, he shrugged, returning to his usual pleasant demeanour. Life was too short for constant suspicion of people, even if Jarvis had every right to be suspicious of people. Beckoning to the person from before, the Fera smiled good-naturedly, gesturing to the empty seat across from him. He always made sure to greet new students, and get to know new members of staff. He wasn't able to discern the age of this person, but thought it couldn't hurt to meet him. After all, surely they couldn't be any more unnerving than his previous run-ins with the nurse and the gardener... Gee this place had jobs for some creepy, creepy people. |

Opening an eye as he continued to munch, he noticed the Fera beckoning to him. Always being in the Library almost twenty four hours a day, other than the times he went to the Cafeteria to eat when he was hungry which was not very often, he barely interacted with anyone. Surely it couldn't hurt to talk a little bit? The last time he had talked was perhaps around a week ago. He swallowed the remaining bits in his mouth before picking up the plate and shifted to sit in front of the Fera. Even though the Fera was resting his head on the table, he could obviously tell that the man was much taller than him. The cloak's hood cast a shadow over his violet eyes so the Fera couldn't tell how he looked like at all. His hand slipped out from under the cloak, picked up yet another macaron and nibbled on it, not paying attention to the man in front of him. His gaze was affixed at the plate which still had several pieces of the tasty delights left. Edited by Cytezed, Sep 1 2014, 08:25 PM.

Sitting up and stifling a yawn with the back of his hand, Jarvis discreetly took in as much detail about the other as he could, even memorising his scent. It was a habit of his, so he wouldn't forget anybody. However, it was Murphy's Law that he was terrible with names. Either way, he was going to make an effort to make conversation with the silent hooded person. "Sure is warm in here, isn't it." Chuckling, as if he'd justified why he'd been sleeping and making a joke at the same time, he went on to say, "Don't believe I've seen you around before. New to the academy?" By this time, Sylph was already inspecting Cytezed's plate of food, attempting to sniff the man's fingers as well, before Jarvis picked her up and hung her over his shoulder with a disproving sigh. "You really shouldn't be on the tables, let alone trying to steal other people's food." Though he chastised the fluffy critter, it was caring and light-hearted. Finally, the albino decided to introduce himself after the small talk. "Th' name's Jynarvis, but most call me Jarvis. I'm one of the teachers." Deliberately omitting the detail about being an advisor, Jarvis always felt more comfortable when he wasn't estranged by rank, completely oblivious to the rank of the person he was dealing with. "Oh, and this naughty kitten here is Sylph. You'd better watch your food when she'd around." Waving a hand casually, he laughed again. One might accept somebody so casual to proffer a handshake, but seeing as Jynarvis really didn't like physical contact, he refrained. Edited by Jynarvis, Aug 31 2014, 01:03 PM.

It was definitely warm for him. In fact, a little hot with the black cloak he was wearing. Though he may be in disguise, he didn't really like to show any skin. He would've worn gloves but it had gotten dirty the other day so he had thrown it away. New to the academy? How should he respond to that? Pondering for a little while, he eventually just shook his head. A ghost of a smile appeared on his lips when the furry critter was pawing around but it had quickly vanished for he was one who rarely changed his expression. Nodding at the Fera who had introduced himself, he continued to remain silent. He had instantly noticed that he called himself a teacher though he knew that he was an advisor but he just went along with it. Finally speaking for the first time in a few days, his voice was surprisingly smooth instead of it being dry like how one would've expected. "I don't mind sharing. That is, if she can eat macarons. You can have some too if you'd like," he offered, pushing his plate with a finger towards the middle of the table. Though he may be cold, he can also be nice if he wants to. A gust of wind blew into the cafeteria from the windows that they were just beside. The wind caused his hood to fall off and he immediately reacted, reaching for his hood and pulling it tightly over his head. Though he reacted somewhat strongly, his actions still seemed quite calm and his expression didn't change. During that short interval, his jet black hair could be seen and his violet eyes were glowing somewhat strangely. Maybe he shouldn't have shifted seats after all. As much as he liked the wind, sometimes it was just plain annoying whenever it did something he didn't like. Edited by Cytezed, Sep 1 2014, 08:26 PM.

"Really? Gee, thanks." He commented with a thankful nod, prying Sylph from his shoulder again and popping her back down on the table. "Did'ya hear that, Sylph? You're in luck, snacks are here." The white creature lashed out and grabbed one of the treats with surprising speed, biting into and almost instantly purring. Jynarvis seemed sheepish as he rubbed the back of his neck, confessing, "I'm not sure if she should really be having those, but... Oh well, we have a school nurse for a reason, don't we?" Before he managed to get a reply from the other, a gust of wind came from the window, blowing the hood from the other. A flurry of insanely fast, yet calm activity burst from the raven, before he sat like nothing had ever happened. Blinking a few times in confusion, he nodded slowly and decided to watch his familiar eating instead, unsure what to make of what had just happened. "Sure is uh, window outside, 'ey?" Looking at the beast which looked a little like a cat, snatching up one of the treats, he would've smiled at that moment but because there was a person around, he didn't. He always had a soft spot for animals but he'd prefer not to show it others if possible. After all, the world was a cruel place and people easily took advantage of others the moment they knew their weaknesses. "Doesn't a nurse treat people and a veterinarian treat animals?" he asked before taking another macaron and popped it into his mouth. He completely ignored the statement about it being windy outside, wanting to forget what happened. If he could destroy the wind, he would've done it long ago. The moment it disturbed him, he would've made sure it didn't exist. But sadly, he couldn't do a single thing against the wind so he just pretended to have never heard the Fera and instead, just watched the creature eating the little snack.

Deciding not to push the incident further, he changed the topic back to introductions again. "I don't believe I know your name yet. Or did you mention it earlier? I have the tendency to forget names, my apologies." Shrugging it off, to make the question seem more casual, though he was fairly certain the other hadn't introduced himself yet, Jarvis started patting that beast's head. Sylph purring in response, pushing into his touch. "You can pat her if you like, she doesn't bite." the Fera smiled, watching as she stole yet another sweet biscuit, and started licking up the crumbs. He had noticed that the ball of fluff seemed to be the thing Cytezed was most focused on, so maybe they'd get more conversational if they were on that topic. |
