Okay, I was wondering if Technopathy has a range, or something of that equivalent? Because I'm sure I can't just run around going ape sh*t with it, Lol And also, say there was a range of, whatever, could you control anything in that area? As in multiples, which I can see as easily doable, but would there be mental repercussions? Like exhaustion, but mentally, not physically. Would it just be a common sense thing? For example, if I am trying to hack into a government system looking for a specific file, it would be kind of hard to be looking for 5 different files from 5 different government databases on 5 different computers all at the same time. You would get too mentally confused, and it would all go to crap. But if you were just chilling in your living room at home and you wanted to turn on your TV and switch through your channels while telling you computer to update your Facebook status at the same time, would be quite simple. And if 5 cars were in my range, I could tell them all to drive towards one point, no mind confusion there. But if I tried to send 3 one way and 2 in the other direction, it gets just a little more complicated, would that affect anything? So, yeah, just wondering what exactly the restrictions are for us Technopaths, so I know what I can and cannot do without worrying x) I hope this wasn't too much of a ramble, Lol. |

Technopathy is hard to judge via range as almost all technology can be connected in some way. But I think for the main part you should start small and build traits to make it a stronger power Though... Zaulyl will obviously be way more specific than me, that's just my two cents ^.^ Edited by VeiledInsanity, Jan 28 2012, 07:35 PM.

You pretty much guessed the restrictions pretty well. Simple programs and simple commands are easier; harder things are harder. Though, breaking into any government system won't be exactly EASY. You still have to deal with firewalls and passwords and stuff like that...but a technopath could still be confident that he or she COULD do so if they needed to. Basically, complex systems and commands are more difficult. As for exhaustion, it scales with difficulty. Hacking your friend's cell phone might not be uber exhausting-breaking into the CIA's database would be moreso. There's also the factor of how familiar you are with the system. It's one thing telling a car to go; it's another entirely telling a plane to go. And then, if you're going up against another technopath for control...hm. Basically...I'm not going to set hard limits. But be reasonable. Someone who found out she was a technopath yesterday likely won't be breaking into super intense databases. |

Okay, sweet x) Thank you for the clarification and whatnot, much appreciated ![]() And going up against another technopath for control would be very interesting indeed O.o And kind of scary? I just picture them fighting between control of a helicopter or something and fighting to make it crash into the other person or something... Anyways... Brea is quite comfortable with her techno powers, not saying she is extremely powerful with it, but not new at least @ Veiled: I wanted to know exactly how small, exactly for that reason, Lol. So I can know exactly what my boundaries are and start coming up with trait ideas to start pushing those boundaries x) Kind of an obvious thing to point out, considering that the main thing about the powers is the traits, right? They are what make the powers unique and whatnot But almost every power has the basic traits that are pretty much generally needed to make the powers even at all good xP
