Well, lucky you then! Ah these wives...!

That said, it sounds really good! You have effects to add then or you don't use them?

Personnaly, I use a Vox Valcetronix VT80+. It's a modelisation model with one tube to improve the sound, with a huge panel of effects inside. I'm quite happy with it, it delivers well, even for metal! I'm quite proud of myself seeing as it's my first amp! :wink
Ah yes, that are cool kinda amps to have. In fact, I'm looking for a small one again myself. To use for recordings. The Roland Cube ones are pretty cool for that also.
I don't really use effects myself but recently, I could get a harmony pedal for a third of the price. It's a Digitech Harmonyman. It's really cool. I've always wanted to have a pedal like that, but didn't even know it really existed! It does everything I want and even more than that. It even makes it possible to downtune (or uptune) your guitar without actually turning your guitar tuners! I recorded the Load songs using this pedal. All this time, the guitar was in standard E tuning, while the pedal made it sound like Eb. And I could just as easily tune down even more for Sad But True (D) or more for a song like Bad Seed (C#), by only touching 1 single knob on that pedal! :D

@ Metallica 4 Life: Awesome! :rockdevil:
That's dead useful! Especially the function that modify your tune. It's one really annoyinf thing when you play guitar! At least, with violins you don't have the problem! But with guitars, your favorites songs are each generally in a different tuning! :angry And my guitar has a Floyd, so changing the tuning is VERY annoying!

Oh yes, with Floyd it's hell! I can build guitars, but I've never built one with a Floyd so my knowledge on them is very limited. I have a friend that also builds guitars and he only builds guitars with Floyds (so he's kinda the opposite of me). He knows everything about them.

So Violins always have the same tuning? There's no one that uses a violin in some alternative tuning?

no, violins are always in the same tuning G-D-A-E from low to high. Violins are instruments that are too fragile, especially considering the huge pressure applied on a hollow body, to be able to change the tuning.

If you want to go lower, you get a violin alto, then a cello, etc... Also the means used for sound's reasonance and propagation are vastly different and specific to these notes, so if you change your violin's range, it will not sound really well!

There are, like in every rule, exceptions for some peices even in classical music, when you can have an E flat and/or G sharp, etc... It never goes further than 1 tone though (For instance, St Saens Danse Macabre with en E flat)

There, the minute violin's class!! :dance

Is not the worst!! :0!!

Actually in cover bands I ALWAYS hate vocals. but you band vocals are METAL. and I like the tone, and that is noot usual in me c:

My influences? well when I was younger I was pretty into J-rock, I don't know if influences...metallica (DUH), Rush, and some jazz fusion bands (I love Weather Report, so what? xD), but I like to experiment. :DD
