Worst Metallica album ever. The only good thing about it is that it's so bad, I won't have to listen to people hating on St. Anger for a good while. Mediocre music, vulgar lyrics that are disgusting and disrespectful to women. There's not enough criticism to adequately discribe the abortion that is Lulu. What a terribly judgement call for Metallica, it really makes them look bad for choosing to do something this bad. Lou Reed's vocals are just as terrible as the lyrics. Calling it terrible is being kind. I listened to it online. I have no urge to buy this piece of shit, ever. 0 out of 10.

Woah woah hey... it isn't a Metallica album. The reason it sounds like a Lou Reed album is because it is, in a sense. Metallica is just helping put their spin on the instrumental part of it. (and ig James backs up vocals a bit) The idea wasn't to draw attention to it as a follow up to DM... it was merely a project.

The lyrics I suppose could be a bit of a touchy subject, but one really has to know the whole story behind the LuLu thing to get why the lyrics are so awful.

Lou Reed's vocals... yeah... they're shit. But for some reason for God knows why.... I love the songs "The View", "Iced Honey", "Cheat on Me", and "Junior Dad".

Ok so I guess opinions are your own... but I just guess this is kind of a habit to stick up for the boys even when I know you girls still love them and all. I just... eh idk. It's a habit I have... but I'm not about to break it.

i really dont like the vocals at all. i never really finished listening to whole songs. i think the only song i listened to intirely is "cheat on me". i dont like lou reeds voice at all. but i do like the way metallica plays cuz i can hear little bits and pieces of other metallica songs when they are playing which excites me. but otherwise i havent even given the 2nd disc a listen to yet. metallica experimented and hopefully this was an experience that they will never want to go back to again. they fought fire with fire and that whole experiment went up in flames and turned to ash... dont like "lulu" but i will listen to it to support our boys cuz i thought they played amazingly

Eh, I don't know.. I mean it's great if you want to support them. But if you don't like an album, don't listen to it. lol

I mean we all know there are plenty other albums of theirs we can be supporting them by listening to

But yeah I guess if you don't like it then you shouldn't feel the need to listen to it... but I rather like LuLu. I'm kind of taking to it

I still haven't listened to it and probably never will. I can't stand Lou Reed's vocals. Never have. Why tolerate his vocals just to hear Metallica play? Sorry, but no. I'll wait for a Metallica-only album.
