What's the scariest horror movie you've ever seen ? I think the one scariest movie that I've seen was probably either The Entity or the Paranormal Activity Series. What's your favorite ? I'd say Nightmare on Elm Street remake if not that then like 28 days later or 28 weeks later who do you think are the best horror movie characters of all time? Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, Leather Face, The Ripper, and Michael Meyers. what do you think about zombies ? I don't really get into zombies I like the vampire concept but not many have really brought any good vampires to film. Zombie movies I do like an recommend is Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the dead, 28 days later and 28 weeks later. |

I do not see more horror movies. I watched as a child, but do not watch anymore. I'm afraid. The only thing I still see is Supernatural.

I think the scariest movie I ever saw was April Fool's Day. I saw it when I was about 10 or 12 and I haven't seen it since. It freaked me out. I tried to watch it again, but I could barely get through the opening credits. I think it freaked me out so bad because it was the first real horror film I had ever seen. I have seen much more depraved films since, but that one scarred me and it sticks with me to this day. I am a HUGE fan of the Saw series. I love the psychological aspect of the whole story, and how John tried to offer each person redemption in his sick twisted way. Best characters? I would have to say Chucky, Pin Head (I friggin LOVE Hellraiser!), John Kramer, and Freddy Kruger I dig zombies, but I think we've become a little over-run with them. I love horror spoofs, and I must say Shaun of the Dead was FANTASTIC! I love vampires, but there haven't been any really good vampire movies lately outside of the Underworld franchise. Interview with a Vampire was great, but I hardly recognized Queen of the Damned. Then again, I have unrealistic expectations of movies based upon books I have read. My biggest thing is when the author of the book gives VERY specific details as to a character's appearance...find an actor that looks like that description. With all the actors in the world it shouldn't be that difficult. I am pleased with True Blood though, Adam Ball gives it his own twist, but he stays true to the core of the characters as Charlaine Harris created them. The HC movies are just shock horror meant to be disgusting, and they are. Not disturbing, just gross. |

I can't stand horror movies. Except for those good old ones in b&w. Somehow, they managed to be scary without cheap "boo" scares and people cutting their own legs. But since this isn't supposed to be just about movies, what I'm a sucker for (aside from Stephen King): creepypasta. Great exploitation of your innocent childhood and of that thing called the uncanny valley. It's all about the psychological. That's the good stuff. http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/creepypasta I especially like Slender Man, BEN DROWNED (I already thought Majora's Mask was a bit creepy, that didn't help), and Candle Cove.
