They had drum battles every night until some point in 92, but I doubt any of them was in Poland. Actually I doubt any of them happened in Europe. |

^^well I can't find any tour dates that would indicate that they were in Poland at the time. I have them in 1996 in Poland, well anyways, so you say Portland I'll go with Portland even better for the story, and you said the whole 1992, so that's good enough to me. For future reference, if in doubt, please check out metallica.com, or my favorite website in the world, http://www.chapterinc.com Here are the 8 dates Metallica has played in Poland through the years: February 10, 1987 Katowice, Poland - Spodek February 11, 1987 Katowice, Poland - Spodek August 13, 1991 Katowice, Poland - Slask Stadium September 8, 1996 Katowice, Poland - Spodek June 1, 1999 Warsaw, Poland - Gwardia Stadium May 31, 2004 Katowice, Poland - Slask Stadium May 28, 2008 Chorzow, Poland - Slaski Stadium June 16, 2010 Warsaw, Poland - Bemowo Airport The only date played in TBA-esque era was 1991 as you can see there, and that means Audrey is correct. They never did a drum battle in Poland whatsoever. Portland dates though, go as follows: February 27, 1992 Portland, ME - Cumberland County Civic Center June 1, 1992 Portland, OR - Coliseum June 2, 1992 Portland, OR - Coliseum So whether that thing was in Portland, ME, or Portland, OR, bottom line is Audrey is correct, and they never did a drum battle there. You can use either city for your fic. But I hope chapterinc.com helps you in the future with finding correct dates.
