lol Well, I'm stealing this challenge from another forum, lol and it goes like this: Legend has it that Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” SMITH Magazine re-ignited the recountre by asking readers for their own six-word memoirs. They sent in short life stories in droves, from the bittersweet (“Cursed with cancer, blessed with friends”) and poignant (“I still make coffee for two”) to the inspirational (“Business school? Bah! Pop music? Hurrah”) and hilarious (“I like big butts, can’t lie”). What's your six word story, or memoirs? Mine: I had to let you go. Edited by Lilith, Jan 8 2012, 05:50 PM.

Mh the Hemingway challenge isn't supposed to be that simple, whatever Smith something says. Your six words need to imply a beginning, a middle and an end of an entire story. Most of the time people imply a beginning and a middle, that's it. Or a scene that'd last five lines anyway. And that's why I never came up with anything. lol |

The problem for me was always the middle. (I've tried this challenge previously, on a few different forums.) I could convey a beginning, and an end, but I never knew wtf to do with the middle. So here's my attempt at describing my life currently in six words with a beginning, a middle and an end (for now!). Born: Orlando, Loved: NH, Loving: Vancouver |

Well that just makes it even more interesting of course. Still determining a middle and an end is a bit relative. Hemingway's was perfect. I'll give it a try. Too young to be so bitter. Edited by Lilith, Jan 12 2012, 04:07 PM.

I have to agree you with you. Hemingway's is brilliant. He says so much by saying so little. |
