This was something along the lines of what my dad said to my mom about a month back.... "I would have come back long ago if I was the one who had left." That line from your story hit me bro.

This line is from a relationship of my own, and the divorce in this story is largely written from my own experience as a child when my parents divorced. So these parts of the story are, I suppose, somewhat real. While I'm sorry it brought up something so difficult to the surface, I'm glad that it touched you.

Thank you for your comment and for reading! :wavey

I actually really loved this story and adored the ending. I'm glad that he ended up with Fran. Even though i was totally Hannah team, I totally changed my mind when fran came down for Christmas. That was like, it for me. Haha. Yeah, it touched home but it's not really a painful thing to bring to the surface. Shit happens.

Yes! Christmas was the turning point in the story. I'm glad you picked up on that--sometimes I think my narrative hints are too subtle!

I have a question for everyone who has been reading this series of stories. Would you be interested in reading a fourth story where Ray works for Lemmy of Motorhead? It would also involve more about Hannah, Anthony and the Hetfields, especially James' growing family.

I ask as I am thinking of writing a part 4 and wondered who would like to read this if I did. (It would be another epic length story if I did).

Please feel free to tell me which characters you would be most interested in reading!
