This is my first slash! So I'm sorry if it sucks!

This is a Klars pairing (Kirk and Lars). There isnt gonna be any sex scenes, 'cause for some reason, I can't write them, but there are gonna be some romance scenes.

Anyway, I hope you like! And if it's shitty, it'll get better! Trust me!

Chapter One

"What the fuck is your problem, James? Metallica isn't gonna slow down if I'm working on this other project!" Jason yelled. Kirk stood just outside the door, listening. "Well, I just can't accept this!" James yelled back. Kirk's eyes widened. He slid down from the wall and hugged his knees, looking strait ahead.

'This isn't gonna end good... Someone's either gonna get hurt or killed...' He thought. He had too many scars from trying to stop James' fights in the past. He'd learnt his lesson.

"Why not? I'm not gonna be gone permanently!" Jason cried. "I said no!" James yelled back. Kirk put his head in between his arms. ''Why can't we all just get along?''he asked himself.

"Then fine! I quit!" Jason yelled. Kirk's head shot up, tears In his eyes. Not again. He couldn't let another one of his friends go. Jason opened the door, not paying attention to the silently weeping Kirk.

Before Jason could leave, he spoke. "Y-you aren't REALLY leaving, right Jase?" He asked. Jason turned around. His intense expression softened as he saw the guitarist.

"I have to. If James won't let me work on this other project, then I'm going." He explained.

Then he left.

No 'goodbye, Kirk',

No nothing. He just left.

"Kirk!" A Danish accented voice pulled him out of his flashback. Kirk slowly lifted his head to look at him. "You were spaced out!" The Dane told him.

Kirk blinked slowly. "Sorry, Lars." He muttered. Lars was about to ask what was wrong, but the producer/fill in bassist, cut him off. "Well let's not, fuckin', just sit here. We need to start writing!" He said.

He tossed them all a note pad. it hit Kirk in the head. He winced. "Come on, Kirk! Wake up!" The producer yelled. "Fuck off, Bob!" Kirk whispered. "What was that?" Bob asked. "I can't find a pen." Kirk replied swiftly. Lars gave him a look saying, 'Nice save!'.

Bob threw a pen right at Kirk. It also, hit Kirk in the head. "Dude, what's wrong?" James asked. It was the first time he talked to Kirk all day. "Nothing. Tired, I guess." Kirk lied calmly. Bob and James seemed to buy it. But not Lars.

The room was silent as everyone wrote down their lyrics. "I was thinking maybe, 'these are the' blank 'that' dadadada?" Bob said, breaking the silence. "That's pretty good." James said. Kirk nodded in agreement. Lars smiled.

Soon, all the lyrics were put together and James was singing. When he was done, he asked Bob for a title. "Well... What do you think, James?" He replied. "Well, we said a frankenstien-ish thing..." James said.

"Well what is it?" Bob pressed. "I dunno. Some Kind Of Monster?" James asked. Bob smiled. "Some Kind Of Monster!" He said. Lars laughed. So did Kirk. They laughed and repeated the title over and over.

Bob recorded James singing after a bit of changes in the lyrics. The rest was already done, so Kirk left.

Ounce he got home, he decided to take a walk. Kirk didn't bother wearing sunglasses or a hat. He enjoyed talking to people without making up some stupid identity.

"Metallica!" Someone yelled. Kirk waved to them. The guy grinned. 'There. Now he has a good story to tell his buddies.' Kirk thought. He chuckled to himself.

Kirk got home. Next week, everyone was going to go on vacation for two weeks. He didn't really have anywhere to go, So he'd just stay home.

When he got home, Kirk was exhausted. He went into his room, changed, and climbed into bed. He started reading this new horror book he bought. He had no idea what it was about, but he liked it so far.

Right in the middle of Kirk's reading, someone knocked on the bedroom door. He looked at the time. It was only 8:00 PM. Lani was still at work so who could it-

"Ah, Fock it!" A Danish voice swore. The door opened. Kirk jumped. "Lars! What the FUCK are you doing in my house?" He Freaked. "I wanted to ask you something." Lars replied simply.

Kirk looked at him with a confused look on his face. Lars smiled. "How did you get in?" Kirk yelled. "Uhh... The door was unlocked..." Lars replied, pointing in the direction of the front door.

"SHIT!!" Kirk yelled, jumping out of the bed, running to the front door with his Misfits PJ's. Lars stood there in amusement. The guitarist got back, sighing in relief. "Fock man..." Lars said.

"What is it?" Kirk asked.

"What's wha-"

"The question you wanted to ask!" Kirk told him. "Oh!" Lars yelled. "I was just wondering what was wrong today..."

"What do you mean?" Kirk asked abruptly. "Like... Spacing out in the middle of jamming...lying to Bob and James... What's going on, Kirk?" Lars rambled.

"Nothing... I'm tired and wanna sleep." Kirk whined. He got back into the bed and laid down. "Somethings wrong Hamste-"

"Please don't call me that." Kirk interrupted. "Sorry. But, what's wrong?" Lars said. Kirk sat up. His hair was in his face. He blowed at it irritably. "I'm tired. Now can you please go before Lani gets back?" Kirk asked impatiently.

Lars sighed. "Fine. See you after vacation." He said, a hint of disappointment in his voice. He walked out of the room. Kirk finally heard the front door close.

He felt bad that he didn't tell Lars. But it wasn't any of his business... So he didn't have to know

@Jik Hyun Well, you won't have to wait anylonger! I know... They should be a bit more cheerful... Lol
@ The Cosmic Gerbil I actually wrote that chapter after this one for some reason.

Thanks for the comments!!

Chapter Two

Lars got to the therapy room second. Phil was obviously there, so, He took a seat around the (in his opinion) rather small table. Bob arrived next. He sat on the couch. Lars was very bored. Everyone had just got back from vacation... And there's camera's watching their every move.

Lars sighed, looking at the blank walls. He hated waiting. It was boring. Without even realizing it, he started patting his knees as if he was actually playing the drums.

Bob slipped up a low, irritated growl. After another minute of patting and pointless noise, he exploded. "Lars! Please! Shut the fuck up!" He yelled. "Don't have to. You're not my dad." Lars replied simply.

Bob opened his mouth to say something but stopped when the door down the hall opened. Kirk put on his best happy face. He knew what the day might turn out like, and it was quite draining to think about.

Lars stared at the guitarist. Kirk smiled and plopped on the couch beside Bob. " Sorry I'm late, guys." He apologized. "Whatever." Bob muttered. Lars studied Kirk. He looked a bit tanner then before vacation, if that was even possible. He was wearing a black shirt with black jeans.

Not to sound gay or anything, but, Lars thought Kirk was adorable. Especially in black. He loved it when Kirk showed up in black, with a beige cowboy hat on, his long, dark, curls running freely just a bit passed his shoulders.

One thing that was still on Lars' mind though, made him frown. What was wrong with Kirk before vacation? Was it really because he was tired? Or was he-

Lars' thoughts were interrupted as the door opened again. James walked in with pictures in his hand. Lars watched as he took the chair beside him, and across from Kirk and Bob. He set the pictures on the table.

"Well! Some one must've had an exciting vay-kay!" Kirk said. James chuckled. "We went to the hunt camp in russia." He explained.

He passed around pictures of him holding a bear with some of his friends.  "So, what did you have to drink?" Bob asked. "Vodka." James replied. "Lots 'n lots of vodka."

"Well, what else is there to drink?" Kirk joked. Lars chuckled.  "Like, as soon as you got there, it was, Nostrovia!" James exclaimed, adding the last word with a Russian accent. "How many bears did ya kill?" Bob asked.

"Two." James replied. "Is bear even edible?" Kirk asked. Lars chuckled at his curious expression. "Well, we got these ones hibernating, so they haven't pissed or shit or nothin'." James replied.

"Ah... Toxic." Phil jumped in. "Did you work on lyrics?" Lars asked. "Yeah!" James replied. Lars laughed. "There was a lot of fucking time there, man! A lot of time!" James said.

~The Next Day~

The four boys sat in the same spots they did yesterday. Kirk was tired. He didn't pay attention at all. Well, until he heard James say something pretty interesting.

"I feel kinda guilty, you know? When I'm not inspired enough and everyone else is. It gets to the point where the song is looped twice, and I know Bob's gonna hit me up with some lame ass lyric ideas... Oh shit. I'm just dreading the whole thing..." James said.

"Well see, why are you dreading it?" Phil asked. Kirk could've punched him. "W-well... I dunno. Cos I don't have anything when everyone else does...?" James wondered.

Phil started ranting about something. Kirk looked at the walls. Why is everything so flowery? What is up with that? The fuck... And the seats... They're all flowery and old.

Kirk sniffled. Eugh... They smell like prunes, too! Lars watched In amusement. He knew exactly what Kirk was thinking.

"What about you, Lars." Phil asked. "Well... Sometimes I get this weird ass fear that if I don't come up with something quick, someone's gonna come up with something before me. If I don't like it, then I just look like an insolent asshole!" Lars said.

Kirk looked at him in confusion. No one ever told him what to do on his drums. Well...maybe James, but if anyone ever did, he'd freak out. Then there'd be hell to pay.

"Well that's a fear thing. You gotta plunge into that fear when the time is right." Phil said. "Shut the Fock up, Phil." Lars muttered, so only he could hear it.

Kirk was thinking the same thing. ' Phil towel- I mean, Towle seems like nothing but an asshole.' He thought.

That day's therapy session was over. The boys said their goodbyes, got in their cars (or motorcycles) and went home.

When Kirk got home, he read a bit. He liked reading. Especially horror stories. Those were his favorites. He got bored of reading soon, so he put in one of his favorite movies.

He soon fell asleep, the TV still blaring

Chapter Three

A couple days later, Metallica went to the Presidio to record again. Kirk sat on the chair, playing a solo he came up with.

He stood up, getting lost in his own music. "Kirk!" James yelled into the mic.

"Kirk!"

"Kirk!"

Lars watched in amusement as Kirk was still playing his solo.

"Kirk!" Lars said. Kirk stopped, looking disappointed. "Yeah?" He asked. "James is trying to talk to you." Lars told him. Kirk turned to James, who stood there with an unimpressed look on his face.

"Sorry..." Kirk said. James raised an eyebrow. "I know, it's stock..." Kirk said.  Lars had an idea. "Play that riff part again." He said. Kirk did just that. James stopped them. "Can you do a more solid beat?" He asked Lars. "Regular?" Lars asked.

"Well if you call it regular..." James murmured. They tried again. Suddenly, Lars freaked out. "FOCK!" He yelled. They stopped.

Then tried again. This time, James started singing.

They finished and played it back. Kirk winced. "That's shit..." He muttered. "It's jacking the vocals all up..." James said. "Well... If thats how you hear it... That's fine! But, I don't hear it like that, I think it isn't the drums it's the vocal parts that make it sound stock." Lars told James.

"Well it isn't the vocals, I think everything's fine except the drums!" James yelled.

"It's focking stock! Like, FOCK! do I need to write it out to you! I think it's Focking stock!" Lars yelled.

"C'mon guys! Let's hammer it out in there instead of hammering on eachother..." Kirk told them.

"Well, I told him this morning that I'm in a shit mood! And he's been fuckin' picking at me all morning." James said. "You just wanna pick a fight!" Lars yelled.

Kirk did a face palm.

"I'm not trying to pick a fucking fight!" James yelled.

"Guys! We have better things to do..." Kirk said, trying to resolve the fight. "Yeah. I do!" James said.

He got up, walked over to the door, opened it, and slammed it shut. The three remaining boys winced. Bob got up and walked out. Kirk sighed miserably.

Lars watched the guitarist as he hung his head in exhaust and confusion. He muttered something to do with the band, then shook his head.

"Will he come back?" Lars asked Kirk. Kirk looked at Lars, a sad expression on his face. He shook his head.

After some silence, Kirk spoke again. "Fuck! It's just like Jason! Fucking leave without saying goodbye! I don't fucking get it!!" Kirk exploded.

Lars sat there silently. "I don't get it..." Kirk repeated. "I-I just fucking.... Try! I try and save the band, but look! Now we have both James AND Jason gone!"

Lars sat there listening. He hated when Kirk was upset. He hated listening to it. He hated watching it. Kirk suddenly got up. "Kirk! Wait up!"  Lars yelled as he ran after Kirk.

By the time Lars got there, Kirk was already in his car, driving away. "Fuck.. Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!" Kirk yelled as he drove away.

"Fuckin' Jason!" He yelled.

"Fuckin' James!"

"Fuckin' Band!!" He muttered, stepping on the gas. He wanted to get home. Better yet, Go to bed, and forget about Metallica.

Suddenly, sirens sounded behind him. He checked the rear view mirror. "Shit!" He yelled as he saw a black car with blue and red lights flashing.

"Just what I need! The fuckin' heat!" He yelled, pulling over. 'Fuckfuckfuckfuck-' "Hello, officer." Kirk said.

The fat, greasy officer grunted. "Sir, do you realize, you were going 50, in a 35 zone?" He asked. His voice was very deep, and his breath smelt like onions.

Kirk coughed. "N-no officer, I..." He thought quickly, making up a really stupid cover story. "My wife's in the hospital, about to have a kid! I have to get there!" He acted out.

The officer raised an eyebrow. "Nice try. Get outta the car." He grunted. Kirk sighed, getting out of the car with his hands up.

"I'm gonna have to give you a sobriety test..." The cop said. "What! What the fuck! Can't you see I'm sober! I stopped heavily drinking a LONG time ago! You can't fucking surf when you're drunk or hungover! I don't fuck-" Kirk started.

"Sir! I'm giving you a sobriety test whether you like it or not!" The cop yelled.

Kirk groaned miserably.

First, He couldnt stop Jason from leaving.

Then, he couldn't keep his band together!

And now, he's being given a sobriety test by a fat slob who shouldn't even be a cop!

"Fuck my life." Kirk muttered. "What was that?" The officer grumbled. "Nothing." Kirk replied.

~Later~

Kirk slammed the door shut. Then locked it from the inside. No one could get in. Except Lani.

Kirk sighed. He sat on the couch. He picked up a book, but soon dropped it with boredom. He turned on the radio, but he shut it off when he heard the beginning riff to "Enter Sandman".

Kirk groaned in frustration. He went into his room. He sat on the bed, and looked around.

Kirk felt a bit curious when he found a note. He tore it open. It read;

Dear Kirk,

I'm sorry about what happened today, and I hope you're ok!

All I'm asking is that you don't quit the band! Please?

Your friend,
Lars

Kirk crumpled the note up. For some odd reason, it made him PISSED!

"Like FUCK I was gonna quit the band!" He yelled.

He threw the violently crumpled up note on the floor.

A couple minutes later, he fell asleep.

Chapter Four

Lars was very anxious when he dialed Kirk's home phone number for the tenth time that week.

All the other times Lars called, Lani picked up, telling the Dane Kirk wasn't feeling well. Which made Lars worried, and a bit scared.

Finally, someone picked up. "Hello?"

Shit... It was Lani.

"Hey Lani, do you know where Kirk is?" Lars asked. Lani sighed. "Lars... This is like the tenth time you've called this week!" Lani said with an annoyed tone.

"Please Lani!" Lars pleaded. There was a long pause. "He's at traffic school... He got a tick-"

"Thanks! Have a good day!" Lars cut her off, and hung up. He ran into the recording room where Bob was reading a magazine .

"Woh... What's wrong with you?" He asked as Lars quickly grabbed his coat. "I know where Kirk is!" Lars replied gleefully, as he walked out the door.

Bob sat there, staring at the door with a raised eyebrow. Then shook his head and continued reading the magazine.

Meanwhile, Kirk shoved one last chunk of candy in his mouth as he pushed open the doors to the "Traffic School Room".

He had his Acoustic with him. He took a seat in the back, beside his guitar.

The teacher was asking everyone what they're names were, and what they got the ticket for.

"The officer said I was doing 45 in a 25 zone..." A lady said. "Well ok. That's  a bit of denial..." The teacher joked. Everyone in the room laughed.

Then, it was Kirk's turn. "Oh...um...I'm Kirk. I was doing 50 in a 35 zone..." He confessed. "Wow..." The teacher murmured.

"Yeah and what surprised me was that he gave me a sobriety test..."

"Well I thought that was to be expected for guys with long hair and a nose ring!" The teacher remarked. The whole room chuckled.

And so did Lars, who was secretly standing at the door.

"And before we go today, our friend Kirk, has a song he composed, about traffic school!" The teacher exclaimed. Lars looked with interest. He saw the documentary cameras.

Kirk sat in a chair in front of everyone. He coughed dramatically, which made Lars smile and roll his eyes.

"This song, is called the traffic school song." Kirk said, smiling. A few people in the room laughed, and others groaned.

"I will drive 55... when stated!
I will drive 35... when im not late, yeah!" Kirk sang.

Everyone chuckled.

"25 in school zones... means no injures or broken bones!"

Lars burst out laughing, along with everyone else in the room.

"And i dont mean to groan... when i swear not to drive stoned!"

Lars smiled.

"And i will drive the speed limit... coz look, were all at traffic school!"

Kirk strummed the ending chords as the room cheered and clapped. Lars laughed and clapped along. Kirk's eyes suddenly wandered to Lars'. Lars quickly ducked away, leaving Kirk curious and puzzled.

Lars walked outside and stayed there until he saw Kirk. As Kirk was walking away, Lars realized Kirk didn't have a ride home. It suddenly started pouring.

Lars hopped in his car and drove up beside Kirk. "Need a lift?" He called out. Kirk shook his head. "Well you don't have a ride!" Lars pressed.

"I'm walking home." Kirk snapped. Lars grinned. "In the rain?" he asked. "Yes! Now, leave me alone!" Kirk yelled. Lars pulled up in front of Kirk and parked the car.

"What the fuck! You're gonna cause an accident! Then we're gonna get in shit and-" Kirk yelled.

"Not if you get in the car." Lars said, grinning. "Dude, I dont have fucking time for this!" Kirk said.

"Kirk. Get the FOCK in the car!" Lars yelled. "No." Kirk replied stubbornly. "I'll drag you in!" Lars threatened. Kirk stood there. Lars got out. He grabbed Kirk and lifted him over his shoulder.

"Lars! Put me down! Asshole!" Kirk yelled. "Thank you for the compliment!" Lars said. "You're welcome, dick head." Kirk muttered.

Lars grabbed Kirk's guitar and put it in the back. Then he opened the passenger door and threw Kirk inside.

Kirk hastily put on a seatbelt as Lars got in and they drove away. Kirk stared out the window, his arms crossed angrily.

Lars looked at him, then the road again. Kirk's dark brown, curly hair was now strait and almost a black color. He was soaking wet.

"What's wrong with you, Kirk?" Lars suddenly asked. "I wasn't gonna quit the band." Kirk muttered.

"Oh! Fock! Thats what this is about!" Lars yelled. "You should know by now that I won't quit 'til we're either all dead or you all quit before me." Kirk growled.

"Well you really don't have to be a bitch about it." Lars told him. Kirk sighed and looked at him. "I know. Sorry. There's just... Too many things going on..." He murmured.

Lars looked at him, his expression softer. "Still thinkin' about the accident back in-"

"I don't wanna talk about it." Kirk growled. He turned his head and stared out the window again. "Dude... It was focking... Twenty years ago! Let it go!" Lars said. Kirk didn't reply. "Please?" Lars pleaded.

Kirk sighed. "Fine. I'll try." He said. Lars grinned in satisfaction. "You were there the whole time, weren't you?" Kirk asked, smiling. Lars made the best innocent face he could.

"Stalker!" Kirk yelled. He punched Lars playfully in the arm. They both laughed.

On the way to Kirk's house, they got pulled over by cops, but only for an alcohol inspection. Which was way better then a sobriety test in both of their opinions.

Kirk fell asleep about fifteen minutes before they pulled in to the drive way. "Kirk." Lars said. Kirk sighed peacefully. He looked like he was having a good dream.

Lars thought about just carrying him inside, but poor Lani would probably have a heart attack, and think something was wrong.

So, Lars shook Kirk again. This time, Kirk stirred and opened his eyes. "What the fuck am I doing in your car." Kirk murmured.

"You fell asleep." Lars replied.  "Oh." Kirk yawned. He got out of the car and grabbed his guitar from the back seat. He waved good bye as Lars drove away. He walked into the kitchen and set his guitar down.

"How was Traffic School?" Lani asked him. "It was better then I expected." Kirk replied.

Kirk put his guitar away and sat on the couch. He turned on the TV. "Anything good on?" Kirk asked. "No. It's all pay per view." Lani replied.

"Why don't we just buy it?" Kirk asked.  "Well, the last time I fucking bought something expensive, you fucking yelled at me!" Lani replied.

"Well you don't have to listen to me. Nobody ever does." Kirk said. Kirk was surprised he said that. 'It must've slipped.' He thought.

Lani came up behind the couch. "Kirk I-"

"I'm gonna go to bed." Kirk muttered. He  got up and walked towards his bedroom door. "At 2 in the afternoon?!" Lani asked.

Kirk slammed the door shut. "I take that as a yes." Lani exclaimed. She was ver concerned about Kirk's behavior. Ever since James left, he had been acting really weird.
