I'm going to be a self promoter for a second and ask if maybe you guys could take a look at my new fic? I know it's slash and isn't related to Metallica, but I'd love it if some of you could take a look at it. It's called "Pretty Tied Up" and it's in the non-Metallica fanfic section. Thanks, guys! :)
@Lucifer's Angel: Hehe, I know! Dave is definitely a gentleman under the hard exterior. I guess that's what makes him so loveable!
@Lilith: I know, that was super sweet of him! If her mom sees her dress, that will be bad news for everyone! thanks for reading!
@Wishful: Hehe, thanks for the PM! Don't worry though, I have a crass mind too. :P
@Gio: I bet Kat will try and hide the dress from her mother so she doesn't have any trouble. If she escapes to go to prom, big things will definitely be happening!

Chapter XVII

"Why?" I ask, wondering if Dave has something planned.

"God, you are a nosy little bitch, aren't you? You want me to fuckin' spoil the surprise," Dave smirks, grabbing a strand of my hair and tugging it. "You'll get to know soon enough. I don't want you to buy just any dress though. There are gonna be some requirements. Are you listening?"

"Yes," I nod quickly without a moment's thought. I'm willing to do anything for Dave and he knows it.

"Get a strapless dress. Your tits are big enough so that you can wear a dress like that without worrying about it falling down. I also want it to be black. Black is the best color on chicks. And finally, make sure it looks sexy. I don't want you to look like the preacher's daughter when you're wearing this shit," Dave tells me.

I nod along and find that Dave is literally describing the dress of my dreams. I've always wanted to wear a strapless black dress. Of course, mother would never let me wear anything like that, but if she doesn't know about the dress, there's no way she can take it away from me.

"Good. I can't wait to see you in that dress," Dave smiles at me before he reaches forwards and slips his hand under my sweater. He grabs my bra strap and yanks me closer to him, saying, "You wanna know what I'm looking forwards to?"

"What?" I whisper, suddenly very aware of the close proximity between me and Dave. Is it just me or does Dave usually tend to dominate the conversation while I just say one word sentences?

Dave continues running his fingertips over my bra strap as he whispers, "I can't wait to fuck around with your parents at church on Sunday. We'll assist in keeping the church a 'holy place'."

From the twinkle in Dave's eye, I can tell he already has plans for Sunday. They're definitely wicked, downright dirty schemes. That's what makes being with him so exciting! Of course, there is one little thing to worry about though. I try to ignore the shivers running up and down my arm and ask, "What about my parents though? I don't want to get into trouble."

"You won't get into trouble! Just worry a little less and have a little more fun," Dave replies. Suddenly, he slips his hand under my shirt and squeezes my breast before smirking at me and saying, "Now go get lost and find the class you were supposed to be at five minutes ago. I'll seeya around."

I can't speak for a moment, surprised that Dave had the audacity to put his hand under my clothes! Honestly though, I didn't mind it. In fact, I would rather like it if he did that again. Glancing up at Dave almost miserably, I ask, "You're not staying here?"

"Nah, school's just a fucking waste of time as I've told you before. I've got business to do. Seeya, girl," with that said, Dave pushes me playfully to the side and flips his hair over his shoulder before slipping out the exit door of the school.

I stare after Dave longingly, wishing that I too could ditch school. However, I'm not about to press my luck. It's already a miracle that my mother didn't find out about how I ditched most of my classes the other day. Good luck never lasts for long and if I ditch school again today, I'll be in deep shit. I just know it.

I end up going to all of my classes, but they actually end up passing by rather quickly. My thoughts are on my interaction with Dave. So he wants me to buy a dress, hm? He's obviously got some place in mind for me to wear that dress. Is he planning on taking me to a club? He did promise to bring me to one someday. And what about Sunday? What was Dave planning for then?

All during history, chemistry, and trig, I daydream about Dave. I no longer give a shit about what I'm supposed to be learning. My grades are rapidly falling and there's not much I can do to save them at this point. I don't care though. The school year is almost over and then I will finally be free!

When school is over, I am in a much better mood than I was in this morning. I skip over to Abi's car and am the first one inside it. When Abi finally joins me, she looks a little surprised and asks, "What's your rush? I hope you're not in a hurry to get home. We still have to go to the dress shop, remember?"

"Don't worry; I remember!" I reply quickly, smiling sweetly at Abi. I've been a bitch to her lately and feel like being nice to her now that my mood has risen a couple notches.

"Um, okay then," Abi says, obviously sensing something is up as she starts the car and drives out of the school parking lot. "What got you in such a good mood anyways?"

"Good mood? I dunno. I've been in a good mood all day," I lie.

"Sure you were. You looked downright miserable this morning," Abi says, sensing my lie as we drive through the streets and come to the small dress shop. Despite being small, it's known to be the best dress shop in the area. Abi parks the car and suddenly narrows her eyes at me, saying, "I know what put you in a good mood. You saw Dave today, didn't you?"

"Huh?" I ask, feigning innocence. "Dave didn't even go to school today!"

Abi thinks about this and realizes that I'm right. Nodding, she says, "Oh, I suppose so. I didn't see Dave all day. Do you want to stay in the car and study while I look for dresses or do you want to come in with me? I don't want to rub the prom stuff in your face or anything."

She doesn't want to rub it in my face? Well, I think it's a bit too late for that! However, I keep calm and quickly say, "Oh, it's alright. I'd like to come into the shop with you. I'll just browse around, you know?"

Abi looks a little confused as to why I want to go into the dress shop with her, but she doesn't protest. The two of us step through the doors and my jaw automatically drops. Dresses of all kinds surround me on all sides! There are long, regal dresses, skimpy dresses covered with sequins, and colorful dresses with lots of frills. If this isn't dress heaven, then I don't know what is! Abi and I just stand in the entrance of the shop for a moment and look around. There are so many dresses to choose from! How will I know what one to buy?

"Kat, do you want to come with me and help me pick out a dress?" Abigail asks me, touching my arm lightly to get my attention.

"Um..." I mumble, trying to come up with an excuse for why I don't want to help Abi pick out a dress. Finally, I go with, "Nah, you'll do better choosing a dress on your own. You know how my style is so much different than yours. I'm just going to be looking around. I'll meet you in the car when you're done, okay?"

"Okay," Abi replies. I can see that she's giving me a slightly suspicious look, but at least she doesn't say anything more. Instead, she turns and disappears in the direction of the vividly colored dresses with all those frills and flourishes. I can't help but smile to myself. Abi and I are complete opposites.

I quickly start over to the opposite side of the dress shop where I see all the skimpy dresses. As I put my hands on my hips and stare calculatingly at the dresses, I try to remember Dave's dress requirements. Oh right, he wanted the dress to be strapless. Even though there are hundreds of dresses in this shop, there aren't that many strapless ones. After sorting through the dresses, I find only seven that are strapless. Dave also said that he wanted it to be black. Only three of the strapless dresses are black.

I frown and realize that now the decision is up to me. I have to choose one of the three dresses and hope that Dave likes it. One of the dresses is covered with sequins. Unable to tell if I like them or not, I stare at the dress for a few long minutes before pushing it aside. It doesn't look like me. I don't ever wear sequins.

Now, I am down to two dresses. The bodice of each dress looks identical, but the skirts are different. Both end just above the knee, but one has ruffles for the skirt while the other one has no ruffles at all. After another few minutes of contemplating, I decide on the simple black dress. At this point, all I can do is hope that Dave likes it!

Not wanting Abi to see that I'm buying a dress, I immediately scoop it up into my arms and hurry towards the front of the store. I place my new purchase on the counter and then suddenly realize that I've forgotten to check the price on the dress! Shit! How stupid can you possibly get?

I reach forwards to check the price on the dress, but the cashier is already taking it off of the hangar and is ringing up the price. I chew my lip nervously and pray that the dress won't be too expensive. After what feels like a long minute of waiting, the cashier finally says, "This is going to be ninety dollars and ten cents."

I let out a long sigh of relief and hand the woman the hundred dollar bill that Dave gave me. Maybe for once in my life, god is working on my side! Then again, maybe I just got lucky. I'm thinking that I just got lucky. God never seems to be on my side.

The woman gives me ten dollars in change and then hands me a small bag with my dress in it as she murmurs, "Have a nice day."

"Thank you," I tell her before heading straight out of the shop and to Abi's car. I hope that she won't already be there. Thankfully, she isn't. Knowing Abi, she's probably trying on ten different dresses and is trying to decide what one looks best on her.

Once inside the car, I sit down and hurriedly fold up the dress and put it towards the very bottom of my schoolbag. My mother never bothers to look in my bag, so I'm pretty sure that it will be safe there. I sigh with relief one more time and lean against the car sat. I hope Dave likes my dress. If he doesn't, well, then I'm screwed.

@Lucifer's Angel: Haha, that would be so much fun if Kat's mom fainted after seeing Dave at church! It definitely sounds like Dave's going to be at the church whether she likes it or not! :P
@Wishful: OMG! I could see that happening or what about vice versa and the church ends up in flames after Dave steps into it? xD
@Lilith: Hehe, I love him too! I wish there had been a Dave at my church when I had been forced to go. xD
@Gio: I agree! It's going to be the most fun Kat's ever had in church! Thanks for reading. :)

Chapter XVIII

Abigail seems to take a millennium in the dress shop. By the time she comes back, the sky has darkened and I'm practically falling asleep. Abi whips open the car door and wakes me up by exclaiming, "Look at my dress, Kat! What do you think? Isn't it gorgeous?"

I glance up sleepily and prepare to lie about just how gorgeous Abi's dress is. However, when I see the dress, I'm actually surprised. I do like it! It's silky and dark green with a few slimming ruffles and one strap. Nodding in approval, I say, "That looks great!"

"I'm glad you like it!" Abi replies cheerily before starting the car and gasping, "Oh my, look how late it is! I must've been in there for far longer than I had thought! Oops! I guess we'd better get you home, Kat. I hope you did most of your homework while I was in the dress shop."

"Uh, right," I reply, resisting rolling my eyes. Instead of doing my homework, I've been sitting here and daydreaming about Dave.

After about ten minutes, Abi and I arrive at my house. I immediately run into the house and say hello to mother. She forces me to eat all of my dinner before she sends me up to my bedroom to do my homework. Luckily, she doesn't even give my schoolbag a second glance. My secret is safe!

Once I readch the bedroom, I take out my dress and carefully fold it before putting it at the bottom of my drawer. I don't know when I'll be needing that dress, but I trust Dave. He told me that I'll be needing the dress and I believe him. Dave has made my life so much more exciting. I can't imagine what life without him would be like.

With a small smile flickering around my lips, I change into my pajamas and then crawl into bed. I'm not going to bother with my homework. Like I've said before, the school year is almost over and Dave has me convinced that school is just a waste of time. Yawning sleepily, I put my head down on the pillow and almost instantly fall asleep.

The next day is Thursday. I get up early and do my best to clean up so that I don't "look like hell" as Dave said to me the other day. However, my good mood is quickly dashed when I realize that Dave's not going to show up for school. The day passes by much too slowly and I can only hope that Friday is better.

Friday comes and Abigail drives me to school as usual. I'm trying not to hope too hard for Dave to be at school so I don't get as disappointed as yesterday. However, as I start walking towards school, I can already see a familiar head of wavy ginger hair! Dave is leaning against the side of the school and is looking bored as he examines his fingernails.

I almost squeal with delight, but somehow manage to keep the squeal to myself so Abi doesn't get suspicious. I guess the grin on my face tells her that something is up though since her next words are, "Whoa, what's going on with you, Kat? You were so grumpy all morning and now you're smiling like it's the last day of school."

I just shrug and hop out of the car since I know that Abi doesn't want to hear about Dave. The two of us start towards the entrance of the school and I do my best not to run to Dave. As we approach the school entrance, I slow my steps and walk towards Dave. Dave glances over at Abi and me and smirks. His eyes unabashedly travel to Abi's cleavage. She just happens to be wearing a V-neck sweater, which is rare for her. Abi glares at Dave and gives me a disgruntled look before stepping inside the school.

Feeling almost jealous of the attention Dave is paying to my best friend, I clear my throat and ask, "Do you like Abi?"

"She's hot. Having a threesome with you two might be nice," Dave muses. He glances over at me and sees the look of horror on my face. Laughing, Dave says, "She's too much of a bitch for that though. We'll have to find a different chick for our threesome. So. Did you find a fuckin' dress?"

"I did," I nod quickly. "It's black and strapless like you asked for. It's kind of simple and-"

Dave puts a hand over my mouth to shut me up and laughs, "Hey, don't ruin the fucking surprise! I don't wanna know what it looks like before I see it on you. Anyways, I know you gotta get to class, so I'll make this short. What time are you gonna be at church on Sunday?"

"You're honestly going to go through with the going to church with me plan?" I ask Dave dubiously. For some reason, I really thought that he would try and back out of it.

"Hell yeah," Dave replies, looking surprised at my doubtfulness. "Why wouldn't I want to go? It's gonna be a shitload of fun. So what time are you gonna be there?"

I have never thought of going to church as "fun" before. However, with Dave, things could definitely be a little more exciting. I tell him, "Church starts at eight, but I'm going to have to be there at seven since I'm helping out with communion at all that. Um, you might want to wear something other than a T-shirt and jeans if you have something else. Everyone wears nice clothes to church."

"Jeans and a T-shirt sound nice enough to me," Dave remarks before sensing my nervousness. He pinches my cheek and says, "Hey, relax. I've got it covered. I can probably borrow something from a friend. So I'll see you on Sunday then, bitch?"

"Alright," I say. A good part of me wants to kiss Dave goodbye. The other small part of me is too shy to do it. Still though, there's nobody around right now. All I'd have to do is lean up and...

"Oh!" I exclaim in surprise as I feel Dave's hands on my waist. He lifts me up into the air so that our heights are equal. Dave's about a good eight inches taller than me normally. Obviously having no difficulty holding me up, Dave pulls me to him and presses our lips together. Our kiss is a bit on the sloppy side, but my heart is thundering in my chest and sparks are already starting to fly all over my body. Dave teases me by running his tongue across my lips before setting me back down on the ground.

"Alright, you naughty little thing. Go to school before you get into trouble," Dave tells me, eyes glinting lustily as he pushes me away from him.

A bit breathless, I do what Dave says and hurry towards the school. During all my classes, all I can do is think about what Dave is up to. I know he's up to something because normally you would never find someone like Dave in a church of all places. I'm glad he's going to church with me, but I just hope that he doesn't get me into any trouble. Oh well. I guess there's no point in worrying about that now. All I can do is wait and see what happens.

The rest of the day passes by slowly and Saturday is a bore. Mother doesn't let Lisa or I go out of the house. She says that we need to study and prepare for our finals. Instead of studying, I just sit in my room and daydream about all the things Dave and I could be doing. I wish so much that I could go out on Saturdays and spend the day with him. However, I know better than to ask mother to let me go out. She's in a pissy mood for some unknown reason and I don't want to put her in an even worse mood.

Finally, Sunday comes! I get up extremely early in an attempt to make myself look good for Dave. I put on a matching bra and panties trimmed with black lace before slipping a black dress over my head. I don't particularly like this dress, but it's the best option for today. Unsure of what to do with my hair, I comb it out before clipping it into a twisted bun on top of my head. I look really fancy. Dave's probably not going to like it, but he did say he was going to dress up too.

As I step out of my bedroom and into the hallway, I practically run smack into mother. She quickly steps backwards and gives me a frown as she says, "Why are you ready for church so early?"

"It's not that early," I reply. "We have to leave in five minutes."

"Hm..." mother muses, looking suspicious as to why I am ready for church so early. She has a reason to be suspicious. Typically, mother has to bang on my door to wake me up in time for church. I usually like to try and sleep through it. Despite her suspicions, mother doesn't ask about my ulterior motives and instead says, "Go eat your oatmeal. I'm going to get Lisa and then we'll go to church."

Normally, I would grumble and trudge slowly through the hallway to the kitchen. Today is different though. I nod almost cheerily and hurry to eat my oatmeal. I pay no attention to the sticky globs as I force them down my throat. All I can think of is Dave and the exciting things he has planned for us today.

I just read the whole story (now that I have some free time xD ) and it is AMAZING!
I fucking loved it!

Dave is so freaking hot here! :drool and it results always so funny to me, that he is always calling her "bitch" xD I'd be upset! I mean, I love his dirty talk, but it's kind rude though. xD
At the beginning of the story, I felt so identified with Kat, I felt like I was reading my own story with my present crush. I wish I could kiss him too.

I wanna know what's gonna happen in the church!!
More please!

P.S. Let them have some dirty fun, y'know

@Lucifer's Angel: Haha, I agree! Dave is awesome. Here's the next chapter. ^^
@Gio: Me too. :3 You'll figure out a bit of what he's up to in this chapter...
@Lilith: I know! I would love to be kissed like that and be lifted off my feet. :) Thanks for reading!
@CarpeDiemBaby: Omg, thank you SO much for reading the whole story! Your comment just made my day! Haha, you're right; Dave's dirty talk is kind of rude, but it seems like Dave to be a bit rude, you know? ;P Aw, I know exactly how you feel with your present crush. It's hard to want to kiss someone but not be able to do it, you know? Thank you again so much for reading! ^^

Chapter XIX

It seems to take Lisa and mother far too long to get ready for church today. I shift from foot to foot and try not to focus on the ticking of the clock. Will Dave already be at church? Is he waiting for me right now? My head continues to flood with thoughts of Dave as I wish for mother and Lisa to just hurry the fuck up! I take a deep breath and try to calm down just a bit. If mother notices how excited I am for church, she'll definitely know that something is up. I'm always complaining about going to church.

Finally, after what seems like forever, mother and Lisa appear in the kitchen. Both are wearing long, modest dresses not unlike the one I'm currently wearing. I think these dresses are ugly and I've expressed my thoughts on them to mother on more than one occasion. I guess it didn't do me much good though since I'm still wearing an ugly dress.

"Come along, girls," mother orders strictly as she waves us out the door and to our rusting car. We really need a new one, but since neither of my parents have a "real" job, we can't afford one.

Doing my best not to look suspicious, I put a scowl on my face and pretend to slouch out the door after Lisa and mother. Lisa gives me a glare, but I just ignore her. Inside, my stomach is full of butterflies and my heart beats a bit quicker than usual. Even the thought of seeing Dave imminently sends shivers down my spine.

The three of us quickly climb into the car. Lisa and I sit in the scratched up backseats while mother sits in the front. As usual, my father is already at church. I've decided that he spends at least 99.9% of his time at church. I can't even remember the last time he was home. Of course, I'm not complaining about this arrangement. The more time my father spends away from me, the better! I'm already getting religious shit shoved down my throat constantly by mother.

As we drive to church, mother turns on a Christian radio station. I can't help but frown when I hear the melancholy tune. What I really want to listen to is some of Dave's music! It's much more exciting than this crap! The song I'm listening to right now isn't good for anything except for putting me to sleep.

We approach the church a few minutes later and pull into the gigantic parking lot. I don't see why a church parking lot is so big. Then again, I don't understand why anyone would want to go to church to begin with. At this time of day, there's only a few cars in the parking lot. Most of it is just empty space. Out of the few cars in the lot, I can't help but wonder if one of them belongs to Dave.

"Katherine? Are you coming?" mother breaks into my thoughts, making me realize that I've been daydreaming...again.

I immediately jerk upright and practically fly out of the car, causing mother to look suspicious again. The three of us start across the empty parking lot as mother tells us, "Lisa, you and I will talk to Mrs. Davis. She's just become a child of God and needs our support during this time. I told her that we would meet with her for a few weeks. How does that sound to you, Lisa?"

"That would be great!" Lisa replies enthusiastically, nodding her head up and down vigorously.

I try not to make a face and zone out so I don't have to listen to what Lisa and mother are saying. Why the hell would anyone want to become a "child of God" anyways? I can't come up with an answer for that question and focus on my surroundings instead. It's a very cool day and the wind whips my hair into my face and sends shivers down my arms.

"Katherine, you will help prepare for communion," mother tells me, managing to get my attention when she says my name. My heart falls. Communion is so boring! Mother goes on, "You will pour the wine into goblets and then you will cut up the loaves of bread into bite-sized pieces. Is this clear?"

"Yes, mother," I say, trying not to groan. How can I find Dave if I'm stuck in the kitchen chopping up loaves of bread?

The three of us enter the church a moment later. Mother and Lisa take a left to go meet with Mrs. Davis. Seeing that I am all alone, I wonder if maybe I can get out of this communion thing and go look for Dave instead. Suddenly, I have a bad feeling about this. What if Dave never shows up? What if all my excitement has been for nothing?

"Ah, Katherine, there you are," a familiar voice says. Unfortunately, it is not the voice I am hoping to hear. Instead of Dave, it is my father's voice.

Very slowly, I turn around and force myself to smile as I reply to my father, "Hello. It's been a while since I've seen you last."

"Well, the house of God is a very busy place," father says as he approaches me. He looks me up and down in approval and says, "Your mother told me that you're to help with the preparation of communion. I think that's wonderful. You know where the kitchen is, right?"

"Yes, I know where it is," I reply glumly. Instead of searching for Dave, I'm gonna be stuck in a boring kitchen. Great.

"Off you go then," my father says cheerily before he adds, "Oh, Katherine? I forgot to tell you something. A boy around your age came around here earlier. He said he was new to town and that his name was David. Since he wanted to help out at the church, I sent him to the kitchen to help you with communion. You don't mind, do you?"

My heart is suddenly beating very quickly and I feel like singing. I shake my head quickly and reply, "Oh no. I don't mind in the least bit."

Before father can continue prattling on, I quickly flee through the hallways and straight towards the kitchen. I whirl around the corner and fling the kitchen door open. Leaning against the counter in black pants, a pressed-white shirt, and a black jacket is Dave. He has obviously attempted to tame his wild locks of fiery red hair, but they're still poking out all over the place.

"Dave!" I exclaim as I kick the door to the kitchen shut behind me and run to him. "You came!"

"Well, I fuckin' told you I would. Did you think I would ditch you? Believe me, I'll never ditch an opportunity to have a good time," Dave tells me before looking down at his jacket and pants and adding, "I dunno how you people put up with these fucking clothes though."

"Oh, to hell with the clothes. At least you're here!" I say, still feeling exhilarated. My excitement is making me do strange things and I find that my arms are around Dave's neck and my nose is pressed against his chest. He smells relatively clean and only a small whiff of beer enters my nose.

"You're more excited to see me than I thought," Dave smirks, reaching forwards and placing his hands on my hips. He slowly moves them upwards and to the front of my body as he says, "So, tell me what we've gotta do here. Then we can get on to more important things."

"Well, there's communion, you know? We have to...Dave!" I suddenly gasp as he cups my breasts and squeezes them lightly.

"We have to what?" Dave asks innocently, continuing to play with my breasts through the fabric of my dress.

Since I don't really want Dave to stop, I try to force my mind to keep thinking as I reply, "We have to...um...chop up the bread and pour wine into the goblets."

Dave presses a sloppy kiss to my forehead and then pushes me away, saying, "Well, you might as well get the fuck started. Where is all this shit?"

For some reason, Dave always makes my mind spin. I can never think straight with him around. Where is the bread and the wine? It's gotta be around her somewhere. Oh, right. It's in the cabinet. Dave makes me crazy, but hey, sanity is completely overrated anyways.

To be continued...
