Currently learing St. Anger on drums (who the HELL starts with that? xD).
Stupidly, it's the softer parts that give me trouble... the other parts just give me two dead legs xD

Hrm...if I recall correctly, I started learning three at the same time in the first three months of owning my first guitar- which was an acoustic! Haha, I taught myself Sanitarium, Enter Sandman, and King Nothing all at the same time. And to this day, I HATE playing them on an acoustic...lol! :biggrin

my story is sad :( XD
I left my bass at the corner of my room for about 8 months, when a friend of mine invited me to join his band, and told me the songs i had to learn. they were :rock you like a hurricane, paranoid and master of puppets and i was like  what's!!!! how the hell i'm going to play that song, so i sitted in front of the computer reading the tabs, at 10 o'clock am. i didn't eat in all the day, and i ended at 1:30 AM!. i was a complete sunday trying to play master of puppets, and i wanted to do it because it always has been my fave metallica song.
so the next day i couldn't touch or pick nothing with my fingers they hurt a lot, and i understood that bass was, and is my life and that it was the frist time i really played a HARD song. so i recomend to start to play with another easy song (if you're starting or you left your instrument for a while) and then play master hahaha.
now i can play every song i want without problem, so if you can play master you're a master xd.

Eva i love your avatar!
The first song i learnt to play was leper messiah, i really loved the rhythm/beat. Then i tried to play master of puppets and almost lost the will to play guitar  had to plaster my fingertips up just to practise. I think jump in the fire and seek and destroy are great ones for begginers :horns: actually most off the Kill Em All album are :D
