I dont' want anyone to take this the wrong way, but if you dont' like the idea of this show, then dont' worry about it dont' watch it. It's Jason's life and if it makes him happy then so be it. If it fails and he fails it isn't our problem it will only be his. I for one say as long as Jason is happy then that is all that matters. He doesnt' owe anyone anything except himself and the people who believe in him. Just my two cents.

:(

Quite true, but this whole thing makes me lose respect for him.

Oh my gosh. you gotta be kidding me...im starting to hear "sell out" everywhere already. that's ridiculous, sounds just like a rock version of american idol. why cant they just do something else to find a frontman? say something less pathetic-public and more...personal. I agree TakeNoPrisioners they shouldnt let other people vote for/choose their bandmate. and Tommy Lee? Dave Navarro? Macy Gray?! god, i hold nothing against them but them being involved with Jason? JASE GETAWAAAAAY!!

Im new btw :wavey enjoyin this board.

:( What I'm not really understanding is everyone's problem with this whole Rockstar thing? I mean so what if Jason wants to be involved it in. It's his life, he doesn't sit around telling us what we should or shoulnd't do and threating to lose respect in us as people cause of some of the choices we make in life. It's his life let him live it in peace already. I really dont' think he is looking for anyone's support in his doing this. Just his own happiness and free will.

Never said he should or shouldn't do it. Quite the contrary, actually. I said if it makes him happy- go for it.

What I DID say is that it makes him look like quite the hypocrite, and that, I stand by.

Well, to be honest, I don't think Jason would be bothered by all the detracters. He put up with Lar$ and James for so long, so he can handle this reaction to Rockstar

This must have been a difficult decision for him. He MUST HAVE realised how much criticism and disbelief there would be, even amongst his own fans.

I dunno if i should be talking here, i mean, we didn't have the Amercan Idol here and either will we have the Rockstar thing. But i agree with whoever said that he should do whatever makes him happy - it is his choice, and i'm sure he thought a lot about taking this step before actually doing it. And since he decided to do it, he must know helluva lot more about it than us.

Don't let all the Kirk pics surrounding my name fool you, i love each and every Met member, wether still in the band or not.... What makes me kinda sad is that Jason hasn't yet found the band to stick with, one to really really belong to.
I just wish him all the luck - even if this thing might not get him all cheers from everyone, if it makes him happy and he thinks it's the right choice, it's all i need to know.

I agree with you and Vixen both. May Jason be happy no matter what he does. :dance

Doesnt' really matter what the guys in Metallica think, they do as they want, Jason will do as he wants. He isn't in the band anymore so the rest of Metallica shouldn't care. Juat as Jason shouldn't care what they do unless it's bad mouth him.

Ok, here's the big problem I have with this whole thing. What happens when Jason later finds out this guy has a terrible personality, or he's not as talented as they thought he was? I mean, he just might be lucky, but where's the bond? I think it's bound to fall apart. But, he'll probably put up with it for like 13 years and then call the guy a homo when he leaves the band. Wouldn't surprise me in the least bit. The boys were mean to him when he was part of Metallica, but he always had a choice. He didn't have to put up with James' shit. Personally, I don't feel the least bit sorry for him.

Why keep telling us how much you just know this project will fail are you psychic?? Give it a chance or just forget about it if you hate Jason so much. If you spent as much time worrying about you life as you do someone you dont' even know the world would be a much better place. Let Jason do what he wants in peace whether you agree with it or not... Like beating a dead horse dont you think, you aren't going to change anything by badmouthing him and if you were a fan of his, you really arent' showing it so just forget about him and move on.

I for one support Jason in life in general if he does this and it fails he will pick himself up just as he did before. Yes he could of left Metallica before he did, but he was showing that he was trying to make things work and not just giving up and as for the homo comment they all made comments about each other then that was unnecessary it wasn't just Jason, so I wish people would stop making him look like the bad guy when they are all to blame....

Poor Jason cant' even live in peace... Love ya Jason :angry

jasonslover(I'm sorry I don't know your real name), let those people laugh at this ex-member to their heart's content. They'd laugh because he hadn't left earlier and also laugh because he left on his accord. It seems to me they need him to keep laughing at because they want to, with no intention of wishing him a luck.

It highy unlikly if ppl at CBS, professional musicians with brains, experience and money saw this a flop so clealy as some metchick see it, they'd invest time and money in it.

As one of his fans, I'm glad there still such a fan like you here, but I'm afraid your time will be wasted. Other duddettes don't participate here any more as they know there are places suitable or postive, constructive talks. Did you notice even the official metallica message board is a more comfortable and a welcome place for Jason fans these days? I enjoy there a lot since the old metchik's gone. And if you're over21, I can let you know a metchick message board where you'll have a more plesant talk with James/Lars/Kirk/Rob fans as well. If you'd like to know how the same topic is seen by ppl with more maturity, I recommend this
