I'm learning all songs I can from The Black Album, since I now have the official tab-book. Some are pretty difficult, for example Don't Tread On Me, which is a 12/8 rythm. I think I'm gonna ask my dad for some help...

oh, and I still am learning this one, as good as I can:

I'm learning The Nomad (Iron Maiden) now.
I was bored yesterday and tried to figure it out by ear, which went pretty well. I can play almost all the main riffs  :D

Why is 12/8 difficult? With some common sense and listening to the song, you'll know exactly what to play.
I never get scared of time sigs. I just make sure how the song goes, so that what I'm playing will sound exactly like it.

I'd be more scared if it was some sick 11/16 time sig or something. 12/8 does not have a weird feeling/rhythm when listening to it.

Also: Most tab books say Don't Tread On Me is in Eb (half step down) tuning, but THIS IS WRONG. It's in normal standard tuning!

Yeah, but since I'm trying to get my note reading back I want to read it too. I can play the basic shit now though.

I could read both treble/G and bass/F clef, and now I can only read one octave in treble clef... Damn.
