Raluque and Lucifer's Angel- Thanks so much for sticking with this. It means a lot. Chapter 105- A Reunion Gone Wrong “Cecily, it’s starting to get cold out,” Cliff yelled from the front door of Aunt Josephine’s villa. “You need to come inside!” “But I’m waiting for my Mum,” replied Cecily. She had been waiting on the front porch steps of the villa for the past three hours, but neither her mother or James had shown up yet. It was now evening, the sun had set, and it was getting a bit nippy outside. “Wait for her inside,” Cliff replied. “I don’t need you getting sick on me again. You already survived the fever once.” “I’m fine Daddy,” said Cecily. “Really I am. I just want to be the first person that my Mum sees when she gets here.” Cliff sighed. It was pointless arguing with Cecily. She was bound and determined to wait for her mother outside the house, even if she had to wait until Easter. The picture that Cecily had worked so hard on sat neatly beside her. “Daddy,” Cecily went on. “Will she be here soon?” Cliff whirled around to glance at Josephine’s parlor clock. Actually, Claudia was supposed to be there two hours ago. Her plane may have been delayed, but certainly James had enough sense to call and let them know that. Where the fuck were they? “She should be here soon Sweetheart,” he replied. “Okay. I’ll just wait right here,” said Cecily stubbornly. “I don’t want her to think that I don’t love her anymore.” “Then at least take this,” Cliff said. He slid off his jacket and wrapped it good and tight around Cecily. “I don’t want you catching a cold or anything.” “Thank you,” Cecily replied. He fusses over me worse than Mum ever did,” she thought. Mum was never worried about things such as catching colds and shit. Cliff moseyed his way back inside the house. Aunt Josephine was helping Brunhilda arrange a tray of canapés for Claudia’s visit. Emily and Mrs. Burton sat watching at the kitchen island while working their way through a bottle of Aunt Josephine’s fine wine. “Is Miss Claudia here yet?” Brunhilda asked as Cliff entered the kitchen. “No,” Cliff replied. “She sure is taking her own sweet time getting here,” Aunt Josephine mused. “I hope they didn’t in a car accident,” said Emily. “James isn’t world’s greatest driver.” “They probably stopped off at a cheap dirt motel for a quick fuck,” said Cliff as he popped a deviled egg into his mouth. “That food is for Claudia Cliff,” scolded Aunt Josephine. “Claudia can go fuck herself,” Cliff replied as he also mooched a cube of cheese from the tray. “It’s bad enough that we have to house the bitch. I can’t believe we’re feeding her too.” “Clifford Lee Patrick Burton!” his mother scolded. “What kind of a host are you? I’ve surely taught you better manners than that.” “I don’t believe in rewarding someone for being a shitty mother,” said Cliff as he reached for a deviled egg. “And Claudia is a very shitty mother.” “I’ll believe it when I see it,” his mother retorted. “I think that you’re just overreacting Cliff. I’m sure that Claudia loves Cecily very much. How could you not? She’s a darling little girl. Any mother would love her to pieces. Now quit pawing through all of the food! No one is going to want to eat it after you’ve touched it all!” Cliff grabbed another deviled egg and flipped his mother off. Then he strolled over towards the door of the kitchen. “Pussycat,” he said to Emily. “Can you get us another bottle of wine from the wine rack?” “You’re the one standing over by the wine rack Cliff,” replied Emily. “It tastes better when you get it,” Cliff argued. Emily sighed, and got up from her stool. She made her way over to the wine rack. She noticed a purple envelope sticking out from under a bottle of wine. She pulled out the envelope which was surprisingly addressed to her. “What do you have there?” Aunt Josephine asked as she came over to see the envelope. “I don’t know,” replied Emily. She looked over at Cliff. “Is this something from you?” she asked. Cliff was grinning. “Open it and see,” he said. Emily ripped open the envelope, exposing the two airline tickets, and a beautifully written love letter from Cecily’s love letter writing book. Emily was stunned. “Do you like it?” Cliff asked. “Why of course I do!” Emily exclaimed as she ran up to hug him. “I’d love to see my family again and have them meet you.” “I just hope that they approve of a ruffian like me dating their one and only daughter,” said Cliff as he put his arms around Emily. “Just keep purchasing my dresses for Cecily and they’ll adore you,” Emily replied. “Thank you so much Cliff.” “Thank Aunt Josephine too,” said Cliff. “She’s the one who actually purchased the tickets. It was my idea though.” “You’re so sweet,” Emily said as she gave Cliff a kiss. “I told you that I wasn’t so bad,” Cliff answered. “Now do you believe me?” Emily nodded. “Sorry if I was a little rude with you before,” she said. “I’m just a little weary about men. Especially after being engaged and then dumped.” “I know Pussycat,” said Cliff as he held her. “That dude was a chode, and you no longer have to worry about him. I would never pull any shit like that.” “I know you wouldn’t,” Emily replied. “I love you Emily,” said Cliff, hoping that she would respond the same way. He got his wish. Emily smiled up at him “I love you too,” she said and then she kissed him again. *** At ten to eleven that night a very ruffled looking James Hetfield pulled up in the driveway of Josephine’s villa. He and Claudia didn’t set out to break any speed records on their drive to the Napa Valley. After they screwed in the airport parking lot they stopped for dinner at a small diner where they fucked in the bathroom, and then James took a picture of Claudia standing naked next to a urinal. After that, he drove her by the Golden Gate Park where they fucked in the bushes until a cranky policeman told them to leave. The only sight of San Francisco that Claudia had yet to see was Cecily. Cecily perked up as soon as she saw the headlights from James’s car. Her mother was here! Her mother was actually here in San Francisco. Claudia had spotted Cecily sitting out on the front steps as soon as the car had pulled in the driveway. She almost didn’t recognize her daughter. She was dressed in a very cute pink skirt and blouse set that Emily had bought for her, with one of Cliff’s grungy jean jackets thrown around her shoulders. Her long mop of hair had been combed into long, neat, waves by Cliff himself. The hair that usually fell down into Cecily’s face had been stylishly clipped back with two barrettes that matched her skirt perfectly. The little girl who usually was extremely pale now had some natural color to her face, as well as a light sprinkling of freckles. Her eyes were shining. Cecily grabbed the picture she had drawn, sprang right up and jumped off of the top step as her mother got out of the car. Cecily thought that her mother looked absolutely radiant, even if her dress was way too short. Claudia’s dress was so short that every two steps that she took she had to pull it down over her ass again, but Cecily didn’t care. All that mattered was that her mother was finally there. “Mummy! Mummy!” she cried as she ran towards her mother. Claudia whirled around. She knelt down and held her arms out towards Cecily, taking the little girl into her arms. “My sweet girl!” she cried. “How’s my sweet baby girl?” “I’m doing great Mum,” replied Cecily. Cecily’s appearance definitely backed that up. Claudia had always thought of Cecily as a rather plain looking girl but now she actually looked very pretty. Most of all, she looked very loved. “Oh Cecily!” Claudia exclaimed as she hugged her daughter. “I’ve missed you so much.” “How come you disappeared?” Cecily asked. “I tried to call you once and no one knew where you were.” “I lost my job hon,” Claudia explained. “I couldn’t live at the hotel anymore, and I didn’t have a phone where I was staying at.” “Why’d you lose your job?” asked Cecily who believed that her mother was the best pastry cook in the entire world. “Don’t they think that your cakes taste good?” “Never mind about that,” Claudia replied. She didn’t want to tell Cecily that the real reason she had lost her job was because she was caught banging a hotel guest in the general manger’s office. “The main thing is that we’re now together.” Cliff was watching the exchange from the front porch. He was frowning. For some reason, he felt jealous that Cecily seemed so thrilled to see her mother. Claudia didn’t deserve that warm of a welcome. “I love you Mummy,” said Cecily as she hugged her mother again. “I love you so much.” “I love you too Cecily,” Claudia replied as she stroked the girl’s hair. “You’re a good kid.” “You look so beautiful Mummy,” Cecily went on as she took her mom by the hand. “I hope that someday I can be as pretty as you.” “That’s sweet Cecily,” her mother replied as she tossed her hair over her shoulder. “I can’t wait for you to see my Dad,” Cecily went on as she led her mother towards the house. “Your Dad?” Claudia asked. “Cecily, you know that I don’t know who your dad is.” “Cliff is my dad,” said Cecily. “He said that I could call him that.” Claudia scowled. In her eyes, Cliff was a legal guardian, and nothing but a legal guardian for Cecily. He was certainly not her father. “He was very wrong to tell you to do that,” said Claudia. “That’s not right Cecily.” Cecily’s face fell. “But he tells me stories, makes me lunch, and takes care of me,” she argued. “Isn’t that what dads do?” “He’s not your father Cecily,” Claudia said. “It’s not right to call someone something that they’re not. You have to promise me that you’ll stop.” “Yes mother,” Cecily sighed. “I’m sorry.” She had only been with her mother for five minutes, and already she had managed to irritate her. Cecily led her mother up the porch steps to where Cliff was standing. He had his arms folded across his chest and he was sulking. “Hi Cliff,” said Cecily. “You remember my Mum right?” “Yeah,” Cliff mumbled. “Isn’t she the most beautiful mother in the world?” asked Cecily. Cliff grunted. Claudia held out her hand to him. “Hello Clifford,” she said cheerfully, overly cheerfully. “I told you not to call me that,” Cliff snapped. “I honestly forgot,” Claudia replied. “I’m so sorry. If you’d like, later tonight, I could make it up to you.” “Don’t pull any bullshit with me Claudia!” Cliff barked. “Cliff!” Cecily exclaimed. “Don’t yell at my Mum!” “Since when do you call me Cliff?” Cliff demanded. “You’ve been calling me Dad all week, and I think that I've done enough shit for you to deserve that title! I’m offended! And don’t tell me not to yell at your mother! I’m an adult, and I’ll do as I please. I told you that I would tolerate your mother for your own sake, but I will not, and do not have to take any bullshit from her. This is a business meeting only.” Cecily bit her lip to keep from breaking down into tears. Now both of her parents had yelled at her. She also felt horrible that she had offended Cliff by not calling him Dad. “I’m sorry,” mumbled Cecily. “I told her not to call you Dad,” Claudia piped up. “I’m sorry Cliff, but I’m just not comfortable with her calling you that. You’re not her real father.” “I’m the one who fucking took care of her when she nearly died from the fever!” Cliff retorted. “Where was her real father then? Off banging some other chick somewhere? Where the fuck were you?” “I did not come over here to be ridiculed about my past,” shot Claudia. “You have no idea what I’ve been through. You think you do because you’re now a single parent raising Cecily, but you don’t. I don’t have a rich aunt that lives in a mansion to help me out!” Cliff was quiet. For once, Claudia did have a point. He looked over at Cecily who was staring down at her shoes. He shouldn’t have yelled at her in front of her mom like that. He felt bad. “Cecily,” Cliff said in a much sweeter tone. “Go on and take your mother inside.” “Yes sir,” Cecily responded sadly not sure what in the hell to address Cliff as now. “Mummy, are you still mad at me?” “No hon,” Claudia replied. “Just don’t call Cliff your father.” She smiled over at Cliff. “Your Aunt has a lovely home Cliffy.” “Don’t call me Cliffy,” Cliff snarled. “Cecily, take her inside.” Cecily took her mom by the hand and led Claudia inside. Claudia gave Cliff a flirtatious little wave, and blew him a kiss. Cliff turned to James. “Where the fuck were you guys?” he snapped. “What the fuck took you so long to get here?” A mischievous smile crept onto James’s face. “Claudia is a beautiful woman,” he replied. “And of course I had to take advantage of that.” Meanwhile, Cecily couldn't help but feel disappointed. She had never dreamed that she would piss off both her mother and Cliff in such a short amount of time. She was such a fuck up. Little did Cecily know that things were only about to get much worse... |

My oh my! So much has happened! See - I am away from a computer at the weekend and you just go absolutely nutty on the updates Not that it's a bad thing, it means that Monday morning I get to play catchup! Why oh why am I not surprised by James and Claudia? She is such a skank she really is. I can only hope that Cecily sees what she is like - but discovers it by herself so that Cliff doesn't end up alienating her by being seen to be against her mother! It would also help resolve the problem of Cecily trying to placate her mother and Cliff at the same time when they both hate each other so much! I see much potential for fireworks there! I'm so so pleased to see Cliff and Emily together - and not just pretending for once! And those plane tickets - Cliff is such a sweetheart. (Although man does Josephine allow them a lot of licence with her credit card!) So yeah, very, very cool. Yet another batch of excellent updates. I think that I am in actual fact addicted to this story... so I have no idea what I'm going to do when it finishes!! |

I hate this fucking bitch I mean, she'd rather fuck James than be with her own daughter, and her flirting with Cliff. I hope Cliff and Emily get her away from Claudia, and that was sweet of him, buying the tickets. :horns2

Here you go. Chapter 106- Things get a Little Worse “I was thinking that maybe we could go shopping after school tomorrow,” Cecily said to Claudia. “Just you and me.” “Cecily,” said Claudia. “You know that I don’t have much money to spend.” “We don’t have to buy anything,” Cecily replied. “We could just go look in the shop windows, and walk along near the Bay of Shining Waters. I just want to spend some time with you.” “I’m sorry Cecily hon,” said Claudia as she admired herself in the parlor mirror. “But I promised Mr. James that I’d go on a boat ride with him tomorrow afternoon.” Cecily felt as if she had been kicked in the stomach. Her mother had just flown all the way to San Francisco, and all she wanted to do was see James! “Can’t you spend the day with me instead?” asked Cecily. “Oh Cecily, must you be so selfish!” Claudia snapped. “James is a very good friend of mine.” “But I’m your daughter,” Cecily whined. “I flew all the way here for you,” said Claudia. “But I want to do things with you,” cried Cecily. “I want to go shopping with my Mum like my friend Mandie gets to do with hers.” “Cecily Virginia!” her mother scolded. “I don’t want to hear one more word out of you regarding this! I’m going sailing with James tomorrow and that’s final.” Cecily fell silent. Back in Denmark, she was used to this kind of treatment, but she thought that in San Francisco, her mother would at least spend some time with her since her visit would be so short. She was obviously wrong. Cecily wasn’t the only one silent. Josephine and Mrs. Burton had witnessed the scene. “Your daughter has been missing you,” said Josephine to Claudia. “It’s only natural that she wants to spend all the time possible with her mom.” “I know,” said Claudia. “But I deserve to have a little fun too.” “I’m not any fun Mum?” Cecily asked, her eyes filling with tears. “There’s just things that James can do that you can’t Sweetie,” replied Claudia. “Someday you’ll understand.” “Not until I’m thirty-six,” said Cecily. “Dad, I mean Cliff says that I can’t get laid until I’m thirty-six.” “What an old fashioned rule!” Claudia exclaimed as she gave her daughter a hug. “I say that you can get laid whenever you want.” “Claudia,” said Mrs. Burton. “You only have a few days with your little daughter. These few days should be devoted to no one but Cecily. You can screw boys when you get back home.” “Not James,” returned Claudia. “He’s over here.” “James is more important than your very own daughter?” Mrs. Burton challenged. Claudia frowned. Now she could see why Cliff was such a dick all the time. It was in his genes. “I believe that my relationship with my daughter is none of your business,” Claudia said curtly. “I think what goes on with my granddaughter is very much my business,” shot Mrs. Burton. “Granddaughter?” Claudia snorted. “I’m sorry to break it to you, but Cecily isn’t your granddaughter.” “My son loves Cecily very much,” said Mrs. Burton. “He loves her as his own, and in this family that makes her his daughter, and my granddaughter.” Claudia was about to reply when Emily stepped into the room. Claudia sized Emily up and down with pure and utter loathing. Even Cecily noticed it. She shivered. There was definitely a lot of negative energy floating through the room. “Hello Claudia,” Emily greeted. “You must be Cliff’s chickie of the moment,” said Claudia. “Well, hopefully for longer than a moment,” replied Emily. “Isn’t Miss Emily gorgeous mother?” Cecily asked. “Someday I want to be just like her. She even wears sunglasses.” “Don’t you want to be like me Cecily?” Claudia asked. “She doesn’t want to be a whore Claudia,” snarled Mrs. Burton as she left the room. She had no liking at all for Claudia. “I just think that Miss Emily is the most beautiful girl in the entire world,” Cecily sighed. “And she designs the prettiest dresses.” “Well sorry I’m not as talented,” Claudia quipped. She turned to Emily. “At least I got to meet you,” she hissed nastily. “You won’t be around long. Cliff never keeps his girls around for long. He grows tired of them, and trades them in. His room back at the hotel was like a merry-go-round of women.” “Is that so?” said Emily. “All that I’ve been hearing is how the man can’t seem to get himself laid.” “That’s what he tells you,” Claudia shrugged. “Oh well. It’s not really my problem anyway. Enjoy him while you can, even though I must say that he’s quite overrated. You’d be happier with James, or that little imp guitarist that they have around.” “You mean Kirk?” Cecily asked. “Oh no Mummy! Miss Emily can’t like Kirk because Kirk is going to be mine someday. Plus, Emily loves Cliff.” “Be prepared to have a broken heart Emily,” Claudia said breezily. She gave Cecily a kiss and then strolled out of the room. “Don’t worry Miss Emily,” said Cecily. “Cliff would never hurt you.” “Did your mother really sleep with Cliff too?” Emily asked. Cecily shrugged. “She’s always had plenty of male callers over. After a while, they tend to all look the same. None of them are ever very nice to me. The Concierge at the hotel always said that my Mum has slept with every man in Denmark, and Cliff was in Denmark for a while.” Cliff and James came into the parlor. Cliff was holding the papers that Claudia needed to sign. Maybe if he could get her to sign them tonight, she’d leave earlier. He noticed that Emily was standing there looking as if she had lost her best friend. “Hey Pussycat,” he greeted. “What’s wrong?” “Did you sleep with my Mum, Cliff?” Cecily asked. “Cecily!” Emily squealed. “You’re not ever going to call me Dad again are you Cess?” Cliff asked sadly. “And no, I’m one of the few men on this planet who hasn’t banged your mom.” “Yeah,” put in James. “Claudia never wanted anything to do with Cliff. She thought he was too skinny. She likes her men strapping, with a little meat on their bones.” James began to strut around the room like a peacock in his tight-ass jeans. His ass cheeks were just about to bust out of the back seams. “Thanks James,” Cliff snapped. “You’re a real good friend.” Aunt Josephine poked her head in the room. “You guys!” she called. “Claudia is in the living room all by herself. I think it would be polite if you guys try to be somewhat sociable to her.” “Oh I’m plenty sociable to her,” said James as he happily bounded into the next room. Emily still didn’t look too happy standing there. “You alright?” Cliff asked. He went over and gave her a hug. Emily nodded. “Good,” said Cliff as he kissed her. “Because if you’re not right, I’m not right.” He turned to Cecily. “Cecily,” he commanded. “I need a moment alone with you.” “Are you still pissed at me for not calling you Dad?” Cecily asked once they were alone. “I’m not pissed,” said Cliff. “Just disappointed. And don’t say pissed. You don’t sell smack on the stairwells of cheap, roadside, fuck motels. “I’m sorry Cliff,” Cecily said sincerely. “And I’m sorry for not calling you Dad. It’s just that my Mum asked me not to, and I already feel so bad for leaving her. I could at least do what she asks of me.” “Your Mum means more to you than I do?” Cliff asked. “Oh no Cliff!” exclaimed Cecily. “No one has ever been kinder to me than you have been. I don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t for you. I guess I would have eventually withered away and died of sadness.” “You would have certainly died from the fever,” Cliff reminded her. “If I mean so much to you, why don’t you just keep calling me Dad?” “Because Mummy asked me not to,” Cecily replied. “You need to not give a fuck what other people think Cecily,” said Cliff. “I just want Mummy to like me,” Cecily sighed. “I feel that she doesn’t. She won’t even take me shopping tomorrow because she’s going sailing with James.” “What!” Cliff squawked. “You mean to tell me that she flew all the fucking way to the U.S. and she’s passing up an afternoon with her kid just to go off and bang James instead?” “She’s going sailing not banging,” said Cecily. “Trust me Cess,” Cliff replied. “They’re going to do a lot more than just sail on that boat.” “Is it stuff that I can’t do until I’m thirty-six?” Cecily asked. “You got it,” Cliff answered. “Mummy says that’s an old fashioned rule,” said Cecily. “She says that I can bang whenever I want to.” “Well your mom is a piece of shit. You want to end up like her?” Cliff retorted. Now Claudia was horning in on her upbringing, and Cliff did not like it. “No,” said Cecily. “I don’t want to be like my Mum. I want to be like Miss Emily. She’s prettier.” “That she is,” Cliff agreed. “Your Mom is going to sign papers making me your guardian, and once that’s done you have to do as I say, and not as she says.” “Yes sir,” nodded Cecily. “And you can start,” said Cliff. “By calling me Dad again.” He gave her a hug. "And don't worry about your stupid Mom. I'll take you shoppinng tomorrow after school instead. And I even have Aunt Jo's credit card..." |

Oh Claudia, Claudia. You really need to sort it out you silly bloody bint! Still the more of a cow that she is I suppose, the more Cess will go towards Cliff and Emily and so much the better in my view! And as for James - Claudia does not need any encouragement, she really doesn't! Hell I'm surprised she isn't walking round like John Wayne the way she puts it about! As for Cliff - is Aunt Josephine really okay with this use of her credit card? Can it take the overwhelming strain of funding Metallica?! Because, well, those boys don't seem to be cheap! I adore this story so much. Whatever happens - never stop writing it I don't ever need to read another comedy, or watch another soap. This thing keeps me entirely addicted. You, are most excellent.

My internet's been down and I just got it back up today. And holy crap. Claudia is such a little skank and I SWEAR she needs to sign those papers Immediately. James is a jerk for just wanting to sleep with Claudia, I hope he catches VD. Or a nasty case of the clap and crabs. I'm glad that Cliff's going to take Cecily out tomorrow anyway, and maybe he can trick Claudia into signing those damn papers! Plus, I'm grateful that Mrs. Burton doesn't like Claudia either! HMPH. *turns her nose up* She's such a vile woman. (Claudia.) |

Thank you all for still reading. You gals are real troopers. This story is therapy for me. Writing has always been my main method of relaxation for as long as I can remember. This chapter is weird but I'm hungover today. I got soooo wasted last night that I sung Creeping Death duet on karoke with some dude who asked me to. Fortunately I did more headbanging than singing but my neck really hurts. I didn't get any coffee or any food today either until 8 PM. So I was crabby and bitchy all day and decided to beat up little Cecily some more, so it's not a feel-goody chapter. Chapter 107- Cecily Decides to Hate her Mother “I have something for you,” Cliff snapped rudely at Claudia. Claudia looked up from the gin and tonic she was drinking. “A present for me Clifford?” she asked. “Really?” “Keep your puss closed,” Cliff scowled as he stuffed a sheet of paper in Claudia’s face. “Just sign this.” “What is it?” Claudia asked. “The papers that say that you’re appointing me as Cecily’s legal guardian,” answered Cliff. “Sign them” “Of Cliffy,” Claudia sighed. “Must I sign them tonight? I just got off of the plane, and I’m so weak and tired. I only have a few more days to even see my daughter. Can’t I at least still be her mother for those last few days? I promise to sign them before I leave.” “You don’t even deserve to be her mother for the next few days,” Cliff shot. “You can’t even be bothered to take your own daughter shopping.” Claudia said nothing. She began to play with the hem of her way too short skirt. “And just what the fuck were you doing trying to bully Emily?” Cliff shot. “You know very well that you’ve never slept with me! You didn’t want anything to do with me!” “That’s before I found out what a sweet, caring, compassionate, soul you are,” said Claudia innocently. “Oh please Cliffy. Don’t make me sign the papers tonight. Signing away Cecily will be like signing away my whole entire world.” Cliff snorted. “Yeah right. You can’t even be bothered with the kid for five minutes. That’s why I’m taking her shopping tomorrow.” “You’re taking her shopping?” Claudia repeated. “Oh Clifford darling. I’d hate to see what kinds of things you would buy for her.” “Don’t call me Clifford or darling!” Cliff snapped. “And even if all I do is buy her a bunch of shit, at least I spend time with her. Emily will come too, so she can make sure that I buy Cecily decent clothes.” Claudia didn’t like the idea of Cliff taking her daughter shopping, and she certainly didn’t like the idea of Emily taking her daughter shopping. “Fine,” said Claudia as she downed her drink and tossed her hair over her shoulder. “I’ll take Cecily shopping tomorrow.” She turned to James. “I’m sorry Pumpkin,” she said. “It’s all chill Claudia,” James replied. “You really should spend some time with Cecily. She misses you.” “Maybe we can make up for lost time tomorrow tonight,” said Claudia as she gently began to suck on the nape of James’s neck. “Why don’t we go to this famous hot tub that I’ve heard so much about?” “Sounds like a plan,” James moaned as he began to unzip his pants. “Are you going to say good night to your daughter Claudia?” Cliff asked. “Can you kiss her goodnight for me Cliffy?” Claudia asked. “I’m going to go hot tub with James.” “You really don’t give a shit about your daughter do you?” Cliff demanded. “Clifford,” said Claudia. “Is that any way to talk to a guest in your home? And I do love Cecily. After all, I’m giving up an afternoon of fine sailing to take her shopping tomorrow.” She went back to sucking on James’s neck. “How big of you,” Cliff quipped. At that moment, Cecily came into the room. She had on her nightgown, and was carrying Cliff’s nasty, old, pissy smelling teddy bear in one hand, and the picture she had drawn for Claudia in the other. She marched right up to James and Claudia. She tugged on her mother’s dress. “Mummy,” she said. Claudia ignored Cecily, and kept right on sucking James’s neck. “Mummy, I’ve come to say goodnight,” Cecily again tried. “I have school tomorrow so I have to go to bed early.” Still no reaction from Claudia. “MUMMY!” Cecily cried. “Could you stop sucking on Mr. James’s neck for even just one second? It’s not like you’re sucking his dick for Pete’s sake! I’m trying to say goodnight to you, and I want to give you something.” Claudia finally looked up from James. “Make it quick Cecily,” she snarled. Cecily shyly held up the picture of the ocean that she had drawn. “I made this just for you,” she said. Claudia gave the picture a cursory glance. “That’s nice hon,” she said and then went back to sucking James’s neck. “Don’t you want it?” Cecily asked, again holding the picture up to her mother. “Sure Cecily,” replied Claudia as she still sucked on James’s neck. “Just put it in with my things.” “Will you come upstairs and tuck me in?” Cecily asked. “Tonight I’m going to spend some time with James Sweetie,” Claudia explained. “I’m giving up sailing with him tomorrow just for you, so at least let me have him for tonight. Now go to bed.” “But I like to be tucked in,” Cecily argued. “Please Mummy.” “Cecily Virginia!” her mother scolded. “Never in five years have you ever been tucked into bed. There’s no need to start now.” “My Dad tucks me in every night,” said Cecily. “Even on nights when he has to play shows late with Metallica and he can’t tuck me in, he still comes in when he gets home and at least gives me a kiss goodnight. Even when he’s drunk.” “How’d you know that?” Cliff asked. “You’re always sleeping by then.” “Sometimes when you’re really drunk you stumble and wake me up,” said Cecily. “But I still like it that you stop in to check up on me.” “I always will Cess,” said Cliff. “Well I’m not Cliff,” snapped Claudia. “And don’t call him your Dad.” “I’m sorry,” Cecily said glumly. “You like my picture though right?” Claudia didn’t even answer. She was out the door with James, heading for the hot tub. Cecily was crushed. She had worked so hard on that stupid, fucking, picture. Even if Cliff thought that in her pictures she made Glen Danzig look too fat, or Geezer Butler wasn’t holding his bass right, at least he still looked at them and kept them tacked up to Aunt Josephine’s refrigerator. “She only has a few days to see me and she can’t even tuck me in!” Cecily wailed. “Why does she hate me? I haven’t done anything to her!” Cecily crumpled up her picture into a tight ball, and chucked it across the room where it almost hit Lars, who was mooching up leftover canapés like a sea gull picking off leftovers from an outdoor party. “Hey watch it kid!” he bellowed with a mouth full of cheese blintzes. “Fuck you Lars!” screeched Cecily. “And fuck Mum! I hate her! I hate her! I hate her! I hate her! Fuck her!” Cecily took off running up the stairs, and she slammed her bedroom door so hard that a very ugly oil painting of some Civil War dude fell off the wall. “She certainly does swear like a sailor,” Lars mused. “Yeah that’s my fault,” Cliff sighed. “She had good reason though.” “You got that right,” agreed Aunt Josephine. “Her mother is a fucking bitch. She treats the kid like crap.” “I can’t believe anyone can treat their own daughter like that,” said Mrs. Burton. She turned to Cliff. “Now I can totally see why you reached out to Cecily. She needed you Cliff. Without you, she would have been doomed to a loveless life.” Cliff walked across the room and picked up Cecily’s crumpled picture. He uncrumpled it, and carefully smoothed it out. “Poor Cess,” he sighed. “She worked so hard on this fucking thing.” “She did a good job with it,” said Josephine. “That girl has potential to be a good little artist.” “Yeah,” Cliff nodded. “Just when she draws me Black Sabbath pictures she keeps forgetting that Tony Iommi is a left handed guitarist, but other than that she’s good.” He glanced down at her picture again. “I’m going to go upstairs and see if she’s okay.” Cliff went upstairs and gently opened the door to Cecily’s room. Sure enough she had thrown herself down on the bed and was crying into her pillow. “I have your picture Cess,” Cliff said as he sat down next to her on the edge of the bed. “Take it away! I hate it!” Cecily cried. “It’s ugly! I’ll never be a good artist!” “Are you fucking kidding me?” Cliff asked. “You’ve got a lot of potential kid. Is that what you want to be when you grow up?” Cecily nodded. “I want to paint,” she replied through tears. “Paint what?” asked Cliff as he smoothed out her hair. “Just various kinds of shit,” replied Cecily. Cliff knew he should scold her for her choice of French, but didn’t. In fact he even smiled. He pulled her into his lap. “You just keep drawing your pictures then,” he said. “Someday when you’re old enough I’ll send you to art school if you’d like.” “I would love to, but there’s no point,” Cecily sighed. “I’m just no good. Not even my own mother likes my paintings, and if anyone is going to like them surely it would be my own mother.” “I like them,” said Cliff. “Even though I make Glen Danzig look fat?” Cecily asked. “Someday, Glen Danzig probably will get fat and then your pictures will be most accurate,” Cliff told her. “I love your pictures, and if you don’t mind I’d like to keep this one.” “Really?” Cecily asked. “I guess I’d rather give it you,” she said. “I thought that it was my very best picture, and you at least love me.” She paused to wipe a few tears away from her eyes. “Why doesn’t my Mum love me? What have I ever done to her?” Cliff wasn’t quite sure how to answer. How do you tell a kid that yes your mother hates you? “Your Mum is addicted to cock Cecily,” Cliff tried. “You don’t have any cock.” “So if I were a boy, she’d love me?” Cecily asked. “I’m sorry Cecily,” Cliff sighed. “I really can’t explain your mother. I don’t understand her. What I do know is that Emily and I love you very much.” “Thank you,” Cecily said as she gave Cliff a hug. “I love you guys too.” Cliff pulled back the bedcovers and helped Cecily into bed. He could hear Claudia’s loud moans and groans drifting from the hot tub that was out in the backyard. Damn fucking bitch Claudia couldn’t even tuck her poor daughter in at night! “Daddy,” said Cecily as he pulled the covers up around her. “I don’t love my Mum anymore. Is that wrong?” “No,” Cliff answered. “Your Mom sucks Cess.” “She sucks more than just James’s dick,” replied Cecily. “When you talk that way around me it’s cute,” said Cliff. “But don’t be saying that shit at school.” “I won’t,” Cecily promised as she rolled over onto her side to go to sleep. “I don’t want to be a terrible daughter but I can’t help it. I hate her…” |

Jeeeezus. Claudia sucks more than a vacuum cleaner. Seriously! I'm glad that Cess has seen through her though - good for her. And a little cameo from Aunt Josephine (strange though it seems, she is one of my favourite characters... she's so chilled). And ya know one of the best bits? Cess's 'fuck you' speech. And it included Lars. In fairness, it needed to be said! It was nice to see her taking some form of a stand rather than crying See Cess, it can be done. And your mother needed to hear it. I do love your interaction between Cliff and Cecily. You get just the right balance of Cliff being irresponsible and silly tempered with some common sense and a genuine idea of helping and doing well coming through. Excellent stuff I look forward to seeing the fallout! |

YYYYAAAAYYYY!!!! This is what we needed!!! Cecily hating Claudia...well,she has all the reasons to do it. Why do I have the bad feeling Claudia won't sign the papers?? If that's so,then maybe the social Services will see what a bad mother is Claudia and will definately give Cecily to Cliff. What's going to happen next??????? great update!! It was better than "Ohh mommy I love you!" "And I love you too sweetie" blagh!

Not that it's a bad thing, it means that Monday morning I get to play catchup!
. seriously, i love this fic. hope cess finally realises how screwed up her mother really is. i mean, being late for 3 hours because she was fucking james and then blowing kisses towards cliff... that’s a new low... and i can’t even blame james for the delay. he tried getting her to her daughter. she resisted vehemently. what kind of mother does that after not seeing her kid for so long?!!?!

I mean, she'd rather fuck James than be with her own daughter, and her flirting with Cliff. I hope Cliff and Emily get her away from Claudia, and that was sweet of him, buying the tickets. :horns2
