I can't give you a full review because I didn't finish it yet. Not being english/american it's hard for me to read all that because it's a philosophical debate and it's not such a good book for lecturing...

All in all, songs from Metallica are taken and ripped into pieces and the authors compare philosophical topics with the songs. And talk about Metallica's past...how James grew up as a Christian Scientist and his mom died and how she'd scold him because he'd put the glass right on the table and not use a handkerchief or smth and he'd leave a mark, and that he realized his mom wasn't there only when he let the glass there and no one scolded him. :(

It's a great book!!! :horns:

I haven't finished it yet but it is really thought provoking. i was really interested in finding out more about philosphy and this book was a great way to do that.
Each chapter is by a different author (philosopher) and thy take a philosophical concept such as "What is reality?" and then compare it to a specific song or songs that cover that topic such as "The House that jack built"

and since each of the authors are fans and philosophers they know what they are talking about!
