So here we are. An umpteenth revue...
It may not be the most interesting you read but I really wanna share this madness with ya !

Yesterday : April fool's joke day...
I arrived at POPB (concert hall in Paris) at 1:00 PM. There was already quite a few fans waiting on the stairs. I hardly found the guys I had to meet. Well, I have to admit I nearly cheated. I did not wait with the others. Indeed, one of the guys I went with is permanently disabled. We got in earlier as a result.
The best seats terraced. Perfect !

The first opener band was The Sword. Bad quality sound, we could hardly hear the singer, and as the hall was not filled, it lacked atmosphere !
No reason to get excited !

Machine Head put things right. Everybody started to bawl, to bump into each other and to dance (wel of course, by dancing I mean "pogo" and "crowd surfing"). I nearly brake my cervical vertebrae.

Darkness !

The Ecstasy Of Gold started. It's so amazing to hear a full hall singing loud and proud in unison that intro !
I don't remember what I was thinking in this moment. Besides, I probably did not think anything at all ! The general excitement was so enormous that it covered everything...

Then Light.
I wondered if I was dead and it was the heaven Light I saw !
Of course not, it was just the intro of TWJYL. Magical. I have never enjoyed this song so much. It was pure energy spit out on our faces. Eyes, ears, every human body's holes was full of it !
The pressure loosened up. It was like an enormous relief lived by 18000 dudes at the same time. The songs followed on so quickly that we'd got barely time to come back to earth .

The End of the Line... It was a real pleasure to give emphasis to that words.
James' voice was surprisingly clear and powerful compared to the instruments.
Being able to understand every single word was ecstatic.

One setted fire to the whole audience (literally and figuratively). Fucking visual effects with the coffins ! On that song, I took time to scrutinize the GUYS ! James was even devastatingly sexier than he is on the pics I've seen. The most dynamic guy of the band. He kept on jumping, running and making hilarious faces as he usually does. And he spoke so many times ! Lars was hidden behind his drums. Every single moves he did stirred the crowds and it nearly splitted my ears !
I admit I focused my gaze on James. Kirk and Rob seemed tired or tame compared to him. Except for the amazing solos, of course.

They kept on putting old and new stuff together.

They seemed to be in peak form. Lot of interaction with the audience. Unfortunatly there were some"gaps". Indeed, as French people are definitely hopeless at English, sometimes they did not know what to answer. When James' sentences were too long, the crowd hesitated at yelling YEAAAHH.

But it was a very orgasmic show !

And Rob : you handle French language, dude !

Here is the setlist we had :

That Was Just Your Life
The End Of The Line
Harvester Of Sorrow
Disposable Heroes
One
Broken, Beat And Scarred
Cyanide
Sad But True
The Unforgiven
The Judas Kiss
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets

Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman
- - - - - - - -
Stone Dead Forever
Phantom Lord

(I'm waiting for the pics that a friend took)
