:wavey I'm baaaaack from Munich and I'm still absolutely hyped!!

:nanner: :horns: :horns2

So here is my review from the concert:

Me brother, his girlfriend (and my best friend), my boyfriend and I went to Munich together.
My brother and I started around half past twelve.
Then we took in our significant others along the way to Munich, which we reached around four o'clock.
After having something to eat at the golden arches, we got lost in the city and it took us approcimatedly one and a half hour till we reached the venue.

There we somehow managed to get in the front row at the left side of the stage, where Rob' and James' instruments are kept. There we met with two friends from our hometown.
I really still can't believe that I really stood in the first row!!!

The first support act, Sword, wasn't that great, but their Set only lasted for half an hour.
Surpsrisingly the venue was still quite empty when they stopped playing, and stayed so even during Machinehead's show.
Sadly, the sound during their set wasn't that great, so it wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was good anyway.

After Machinehead the tension was rising, and occasional some people on the other side of the stage started cheering, but the lights were still on.

We watched Rob's Roadie tune his basses, and then the lights finally went out, and the lasers on the stage went on while Ecstasy of Gold was playing. They started the set with 'That was just your Life', and blew everyone of us away from that song on.

Since I was able to get my hands on the setlist, here is the scan:

I absolutely LOVED the set!
Only track is absolutely love to the bone, so you can imagine that I was banging and screaming my soul out. :rockdevil:

The guys were constantly moving around the stage so we got a good look on all of them a few times (I'll post the pics as soon as I get them from my bf)!

Then, right before the encore, Rob and James came down to us, and I shook Robs hand. Twice!
And I missed James for a bout one millimeter (my brother and Gabi (his girlfriend) were luckier, they got to touch him).

Lars came round after 'Seek and Destroy' to hand out sticks, but I wasn't that lucky.

Their set was over too fast, and all foru of them gave us a quikc 'Goodbye' before they left.

Overall it was one fo the greates concerts I have ever seen, epsecially because the guys were so great!

James was funny as hell at times making grimaces and interacting with the crowd in a great way,
And Rob was an absolute sweetheart, too, waving and smiling at us whenever he looked up.
Kirk did a kickass show, too, as Lars did, and he looked really, really, really good! :drool

James named us 'Metallica-family Munich' which got him many cheers form the crowd.

:nanner: :nanner: :horns: :horns2 :rockdevil:

P.S.: Sorry, if my writing isn't at its best, but I'm way too hyped to write in a good style at the moment. :wink

Thank you ladies!!

Yeah, shaking Rob's hand was awesome!!!
Especially since he's one of my favourite members.

if I had the money I'd just buy another ticket for a show in Germany, but I can't, so I'll have to wait for the next tour!

They've played that song over 1000 times! Though it's a great song live they need to change it up sometimes. :) Like, you know, GUYS I'M JUST SUGGESTING TO PUT IN TRAPPED UNDER ICE Y'KNOW, GLASGOW WAS KINDA AWESOME.

I don't know, I think Creeping Death is always the highlight of Metallica shows. I can never get enough of it live, but obviously the guys can and that's understandable.

Mmhmm. It's what keeps the setlist good and interesting and at times challenging (like whenever they bring back Disposable FUCKING Heroes, mmmmm, om noms) and it makes it interesting for us touring folk who are setlist whores and want to hear the rare played songs or the songs we have never heard. Like, y'know, PHANTOM LORD. <3
