I'll be at that show as well. Hometown show.

Show starts usually around 7PM. The guys get on at 9PM. It usually ends around 11:00PM. Those are estimated time frames. First band goes on usually on the dot. The guys get on usually around 9PM to 9:15PM. Earliest I've seen them go on is 8:50PM and the latest was 9:20PM.

Hope you have a great time. Are you seats or floor? I'm floor.

I'm going to that show, too!!!
Trinny, I hope to meet you!!

I saw 8 shows last year between October and December...

First band started at 7 pm.

Metallica come on every night at exactly 9:10 pm , like clockwork, except for Ontario show, they came on later, for whatever reason. That was the night I saw Wayne Isham walking around a lot inside the rail...they were filming vid for Broken Beat and Scarred, I believe.

Around 9 pm, fog machines started, and you hear Saxon's "Heavy Metal Thunder " playing over the PA.

Then hold on!!!!

You are about to ROCK YOUR FACE OFF, baby!!!
woooooo!!!

AC/DC has been retired. It's now Saxon's Heavy Metal Thunder.

Floor depends on your experience. If you have none, get a corner rail on the Hammett/Ulrich side. That is where the door is where the guys enter. You'll know by Kirk's guitars. If you have some experience, I recommend a Hetfield mic, especially the ones near the door. I usually make newcomers to the floor get a Hetfield mic because nothing compares to having Hetfield spit and look at you right in the face for Battery/Life/FFWF/Unforgiven/TEOTL/etc etc etc. Kirk's wah-pedals are always near Hetfield mics too so you get him soloing as well. Though they do run around everywhere. I don't recommend the floor if you can't handle being around people for a really long time.

But I've done seats for four Metallica shows and I loved them. They were awesome. So either is cool. HP Pavillion has a great seating chart. So I would recommend seats as well.

How do you know which mic is James' mic? Or does it not matter since he'll be moving around throughout the whole show?

They replace the mics on the stage with James's mics. That's why you have to situate yourself not at the mics that are there when you arrive at the rail. Those are the mics for The Sword/MH/other bands, not Metallica. James's mics are situated between the monitors on the floor. You can't miss them. They are the boxes there, and besides those boxes are the wah-pedals for Kirk's stuff.
