playing bass, in my opinion, is much more challenging (and to some extent rewarding) than playing guitar.

but only to me.

depends on what you're playing, if you're just gambling around both instruments aren't that hard to play, but if you take it seriously (and also learn music theorie and so on) then guitar is really challenging as well.

I think so.

You need to press the strings of a bass guitar with more force. Not only because they are thicker, also because they're somewhat further away from the fretboard.

Also, the frets are further apart.

Is that what you mean?

I was playing bass about three minutes ago but I stopped because of the big hole I managed to stab in my finger from sliding too fast up and hitting it on the sharp little projection that should not be there. =D YAY INJURIIEEEEEEEES

You know, my teacher told me back then that one of the main reasons you'd get a blister on you finger was that you're playing too hard. So he advised me to just turn up the volume so I didn't have to play harder to be louder.

Could be a tip :D

Yeah, but I only learned the basics there. I remember there was one song I wanted to learn and he was like "No, that's too fast."
Well fuck him, I learned it and man.. It ain't fast.
