here... another bass player... me.  i'm not so bad on bass (i think xd), i had to learn everything alone, my parents are musicians but they play another kind of music,so my father told me a couple basic things and I started at 2007,playing some easy things like cramberries,green day,etc. and there's a metal teacher who is director of the school band so i learned a few more from him (: and about playing with pick or fingers... omm i basically play with pick and fingers(which is not easy) but when i'm playing live i prefer to play with pick because it gives me more freedom to move around the stage and stuff,i love rocking out so... i receive several criticizes about this, but i don't really care.i know i can play bass however i want and there's no laws about "To play bass with pick IS NOT ALLOWED" xd

And here's another Bass player to add to the collection *laughs* I've been playing since I was 15, the first song I learned was 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', I also played alot of easy songs from Green Day, Foo Fighters and some Nirvana. my besties dad taught me, he showed me the basics of playing a bass (ie how to hold it and were to put your fingers, how to read a bass tab.. etc etc), Everything else I learned myself *grins* I now play ALOT of Foo Fighter songs, some Tenacious D and I'm adding Metallica songs onto the list (even if it does take me a week to learn just one song *giggles*) Plus many other random song that I like Oh and I use a pick!! I do use my fingers sometimes.. like if I feel I can finger it fast enough for the song or if I can't be bothered to find a pick *laughs* |
