THE DEAD RISE AGAIN A zombie apocalyptic scenario! PLOT: Somewhat in the near future, the world has grown quiet. Wars have since been a thing of the past, people have moved on with their lives. This was all until Patient Zero, someone who seemed to be suffering from mild flu-like symptoms died. This confused scientists and doctors alike for they had seen no ailment that bore such symptoms and killed so quickly without warning. An extensive search was warranted and the man's house was ravaged and searched, but nothing was found amiss and they abandoned the patient burying him in the local cemetery. Several days later, the authorities got an alert from the same location that people were acting strange, almost like robots. The authorities arrived on the scene to find chaos, and hastily sought to establish a quarantine. The army and National Guard moved in to set up a perimeter, and the authorities felt safe for awhile. Until one of the scientists was bitten, and hid it from the rest. On his way home he crashed, his car was found at the scene but no body was ever found. Then the government began to get distress signals from all the United States that the plague was upon them. That somehow it had escaped quarantine and was now out in the open. Operation Cleansweep was put into effect, and the army and National Guard were ordered to move through the first town and kill all occupants. They were given just one order, LEAVE NO ONE ALIVE! The soldiers moved swiftly, as they were trained, and began to kill every inhabitant of the town. Then the government ordered that Operation: Salvation be put into effect and all military were to move back to designated areas and form shelters. The world slowly fell apart as the virus managed to get aboard shipping vessels and slowly spread throughout foreign nations until only a few were saved as shipyards and trade came to a standstill and then halted all together. The people began to seek shelter anywhere they could and some resorted to forming communities of their own. Where will you go, will you seek one of the military shelters or will you wander until you find some place to hole up and wait it out? Or will you see to make a last stand and go down fighting? Step into The Dead Rise Again and try to survive. CHARACTER TEMPLATE:

I'm interested in joining but I've never successfully RP'd before. All RPs I joined died because of lack of activity before any real progress was made, which is always a risk on small forums I suppose... Would this be a problem? |

The only problem is your own self-esteem, young one -disappears in a cloud of Yoda plushies and Fu Manchu-style fake moustaches- Nah, experience isn't as important as the ability to write coherently and understanding how things work in RPs. The latter you can pick up by observing how others work, or reading this post, which I jotted down while I was still an RP mod. |
