[[This is a first, I'm going to step to the side and allow him to go after the media on his own. Yes I know what you are thinking, but this isn't the same. You see, with me letting him talk without me really being in his head, I can keep him on this leash and I can still have control over what is really said. Don't worry, I won't hurt her. Neither will he. Trust me, this is going to be insightful and fun.] (The scene opens up in a backstage area inside of EWF's headquarters. A interview set is sitting in the picture as you see Monica making her way onto the set. She is wearing a silk top, a form fitting skirt, and a pair of black sling back heels. A camera man makes his way onto the set and looks at Monica.) Camer Man: Is he here yet? Monica: No, but he still has a few minutes before I call it in. (The door opens up, causing Monica and the camera man to look. Kostoff enters the area and makes his way towards Monica. Her eyes follow him as he slowly makes his way over to her. He is wearing a pair of jeans, a pair of black combat boots, and a black t-shirt. He runs his fingers through his hair as he stops in front of Monica and looks her up and down.) Kostoff: Sorry to make you wait Monica, I've never really been a wiz at these things. Monica:[/I] That's ok, was going to give you a few more minutes before I called it in. You want to take a seat? (The two make their way over and sit down in the chairs. Monica motins to the camera man to start running as she pulls out her notes and glances over them again quick. Kostoff is getting his mic set up right as he notices that Monica keeps looking over at him. He smiles to himself as she clears her throat.) Monica: Good evening, I'm here tonight with the man known as Kostoff to everyone in EWF and across the wrestling comunity itself. Kostoff: How are you doing this evening Monica? Monica: I'm good and thank you for doing this interview. I'll jump right into it, since you've been here in EWF you've been apart of some very interesting matches. You've headlines a ppv and you've main evented shows across the country. But as of late you've been dropping more matches than you've been winning, why is that? Kostoff: Well, there is a number of reasons, but for the most part they are going to be left between me and those in power. I'm not so sure that those big boys would like me to tell it like it is really. Because if I did, it could really open the door that people like Mike and the rest of the office doesn't want to have opened. Monica: I'm sure that Mr. Sparks can hold his own with the roster. Go on, tell us what is on your mind. Let me ask you this, you were in the main event of the ppv with Howard and Watts. Watts got taken out and then you and Howard did a double pin to have you each have part of the title. And then the following night you lost the match, what really happen? (Looking at her he adjusts himself in the chair.) Kostoff: Monica you want the truth? Ok, sit back and enjoy, this is going to be something that is going to make your show top. The reason I dropped the match with Howard was because I was asked to. I mean come on, I out worked him all week, I cut him to shreds in promos, and then I drop the match just like that? I was told that no matter what I did, I was going to lose to that whinny bitch, because he was a bit more "colorful" than I am. I'm a black and white person Monica, I don't leave things in the gray area. But they wanted someone who was more....well colorful with his interviews and such. So I was told I was dropping the match. I didn't aurgue, I mean Howard's been here longer than me, wouldn't be good for business to let the new guy win it all right away. Kostoff:But let's be honest. I out worked him from the time that bell rung til that bell rung telling everyone he won. Was I mad? Yes, shit I still am pissed that I was done like that. I mean, how many other guys would allow this shit to go on? Not to many, but I look at it in a different light than most do. But then this past week, I'm in a fatal 4 way match. Monica: It was another match that it seemed that you had the other guys in the match out worked as well in my eyes. (Laughing) Kostoff: I've heard that before I got here. I've gotten calls from my friends and other wrestlers alike who swear up and down I got fucked. Again, let's call it for what it actually is. Does it look like Primal really beat me? I mean...I don't get it. I go out there and I actually wrestle and I actually showcase what I can do in the ring, and it goes on and on. The front office isn't scared of me, but they don't want me to win. I know I'll get a phone call or some shit from them telling me I'm out of line, but can anyone really blame me? Kostoff: You put the title on someone who is more "colorful" than I am in interviews, and you let someone who is along the same lines win a fatal four way that I was in. And you're going to tell me that me showing my life in front of everyone, for all to see...all the pain and all the suffering my family was going through...and to think that I was asked to bring along cameras for this shit....and to play it out on television for all to see....and then I get told I'm not "colorful" enough. Kostoff: You'd think that at some point in my time here, I'd might come unglued and try to rip Mikey's and the entire front offices heads clean off their necks. That time might come, sooner rather than later. But for now I'm going to sit back, do my thing again this week. And watch as they allow "The Missle" to beat me. I'll out perform him again, all week long, beat him from one end of the ring to the other end of the ring, and then I'll be told as I'm making my way to the ring, that I'm going to lose again. Because his name sounds better or something fucking stupid like that. (Stretching his arms over his head he cracks his neck.) Monica: For those of us who aren't as involved in the backstage stuff, does this type of thing go on alot? Kostoff: In some feds it happens more than others. But for the most part it is a common practice amoung the backstage boys. They sit back and talk to their favorite boys, and it's not as if they hide it. I mean it's really open. At times you look at them and just flat out wonder what in the F*ck does it really matter? I mean you can train til your sore for days, you can go and dominate people across the board, and then you get told that you are going to lose the match. How are you supposed to feel? Happy that you have a job? Shit, no matter what anyone tells you, there are hundreds, F*ck probably thousands of feds around. The problem is, you've got to find the one that you feel comfortable in. I like EWF don't get me wrong, I enjoy my time here. Does it mean I'm going to be a whooping boy all the time? No, trust me, there is going to be a time where I'm told to drop a match, and I don't. I was asked to make the new kid, MVP, look good in the ring. I don't need to, that kid has it all. Only a matter of time before his name is in the same conversations as the big boys. Kostoff: I'm sure as the week draws to an end, I'll get some call from the office or they will tell me I'm going to lose to another more "colorful" guy this week. Don't get used to it boys, one time you're going to think I'm going to job for you, and then when you least expect it, I turn the locker room and the office upside down. Monica: Do you have anything to say to your opponent? (A evil grin crosses his lips. His eyes narrow as the camera slowly zooms in on his eyes. The steel blue in his eyes yield only anger.) Kostoff: "Missle" maybe you're luck will change this week and I'll be told to drop the match for you, to help you out and make you look good. If I do, maybe this is the week I go back on what I was told and do what I want? Or maybe I'll go one more week before I fight back against the system? Who knows, only time will tell. (The camera backs up as his eyes are still narrow and glaring. Monica looks at him and nods to the camera man to focus back on her.) Monica: Well Kostoff, I'd like to thank you for your time. EWF this has been a special interview brought to you. I'm Monica and I'll see you around. (The camera goes off as Monica looks at Kostoff. She smiles as he takes the mic off and lays it down.) Monica: So, you want to go get a bite to eat? (Looking up at her, he smiles.) Kostoff: Sure, you know a good place close? Monica: I know of a nice little Italian returant a couple blocks from here. Sound good? Kostoff:Sounds like a plan to me. (They both get up from their chairs and walk side by side out of the backstage area. As the door closes the camera spins to show the camera man shaking his head.) Camera Man: Some people have all the fun. (Scene fades to darkness) |
