One mans debut is another mans nightmare

(The scene opens with a shot of the European Wrestling Federation Battleground Bar and Grill, the location is still undisclosed as construction is still underway, the camera pans out showing a silver colored Volvo with a custom license plate marked, “Tax-Man”. Suddenly the door opens and Paul Anderson steps out, he pulls a rag out of his pocket and starts polishing the wheels. Paul smells perfume as European Wrestling Federation’s newest interviewers Sophie Bell walks over, Paul smiles at the young interviewer as he adjusts his red colored neck-tie, she smiles back as he reaches into his car pulling out his steel plated briefcase.)

Paul Anderson: (glances at his watch)You’re late.

Sophie Bell: Sorry, my driver had a little trouble finding this place. The bar isn’t even near open. Why did you want to meet here?

Paul Anderson: I had to make an evaluation on how much over budget this project is going to cost. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you, this Bar and Grill is costing Mr. Mikey Sparks a bundle.

Sophie Bell: I don’t understand your job title exactly. You do work for the Internal Revenue Service, right? And you’re a wrestler.

Paul Anderson: I do work for the Internal Revenue Service, I also work as a bookkeeper helping balance Mr. Sparks’ fine federation. Mr. Sparks and Monday Night Revolution General Manager, Alexander Stryfe have recently decided on allowing me to be part of their fine roster. Does that answer your questions?

Sophie Bell: (looks a bit confused) I guess... Maybe we should just stick to talking about your debut match. Next Monday, Grand Forks, North Dakota, the Alerus Center, it’s going to be you going one on one with Egon Jameson, also known as the Iron King. What are your thoughts?

(Paul places his steel plated briefcase on his Volvo and smoothly pops it open, he pulls out his reading glasses placing them firmly on the bridge of his nose, he pulls out a folder. Sophie takes a peek noticing that the folder is clearly marked “Egon Jameson” Paul opens the folder and starts to read aloud.)

Paul Anderson: Mr. Egon Jameson, two hundred and forty pounds, five feet eleven inches, he hails from Berlin Germany. He wears face paint which he intends to write off as a business expense, I’ll have to look into that. Egon is always looking fo the next great challenge and believes that to be a truly great ruler you must always be fluent in things your enemies wouldn’t even expect. Interesting.

(Paul tosses the folder into his steel plated briefcase and slowly closes the case.)

Paul Anderson: My thoughts? I plan on making a name for myself in this great federation and it all starts this coming Monday on Monday Night Revolution. Mr. Sparks and Alexander Stryfe took a chance adding me to their roster and I don’t plan on disappointing them on my first night out.

Sophie Bell: Do you even know anything about Egon Jameson? Did you even go back and look at some of his old matches?

Paul Anderson: Egon Jameson hasn’t done anything, Sophie. It’s not like I’m teaming up with Ryot to take on Abe Striker and Liam Alexander.

Sophie Bell: You haven’t done anything yet and your already talking about the main event?

Paul Anderson: Let’s get this straight, the main event only interests me because the IC Champion, Mr. Showtime is in it. That means that I’ll be paying extra close attention to what’s going down. But that’s all the time I have for you today, Sophie. Maybe we’ll hook up later this week.

Sophie Bell: Okay that sounds...

(Paul quickly jumps into his car and speeds off.)
