Cubicles and bosses, it's a fantasy setting where only humans exist. and they do jobs like accountant, barmaid, house wife, priest, dean. You can go out to a bar and stuff.
it's really awesome just let your imagination fly and enjoy it.

So, just like real life, only elves and dwarves and such don't exist?

Isn't that kind of racist? "I want to play a fantasy setting where you aren't real. That's my ideal escapist fantasy."

I prefer BURPS (Basic Universal Roleplaying System) myself. It lacks classes and levels and I think that's pretty cool.

Are you serious? I lol'd. I guess that's kind of a social statement, though, huh? It's like, if there were only one race, people would still find a reason to hate each other, even if it was over something stupid like skin pigmentation.

I've never played Cubicles and Bosses, but a couple of my friends convinced me to play 5th Ocean once. It's a game where you all pretend to be rich human yacht owners, sailing around the world, stopping in shady ports for gambling, avoiding Somalian pirates, and outsmarting the IRS.

Apparently the rulebook is out of print now, but I like sailing and it was fun, I'd definitely try it again if I was given the opportunity.

(seriously, if 5th Ocean was an actual system, I'd play it until the rulebook fell apart)

I don't know too much about the mechanics of 5th Ocean, I just mentioned to a couple of guys from college how much I like sailing with my dad, and they told me they were playing a game of it and that I should join in. I played along, mostly drawing from my childhood adventure stories of yacht owners, and they told me what dice to roll for which actions.

We had fun with it, although they mentioned a lot of house rules were needed.

Huh, that 5th Ocean thing sounds like you're playing modern pirates. It's a roleplaying game right? I'm quite out of the loop since I haven't been able to play any rpgs since before I went to bootcamp.
So, anyone have any rpgs I should try out?

Speaking of which, has anyone played the Helsaga games? Used to play it as a kid, if you can ignore the HURR ELVES R BEST stuff crammed into it it's a pretty cool game about playing as Norse heroes trying to stop Ragnarok.
